IA4003 Research, Recording and Presentation-Reflect and Construct: Process and Portfolio.
By organising the portfolio, I recalled the content of the class this year. It is not easy to integrate so much information, especially when selecting works. Although there are many works to choose from, there are several restrictions that cannot be used. The content is put in. So I need to sort out all the information about my works before I choose. Then I will review and pick them one by one.
In the process of sorting, it is essential to classify this part. The more clearly the classification is, the easier it is to edit the order and typesetting. Therefore, the number of pages can be arranged according to the content of each unit. At this time, I can arrange the order I want to present. With the content. Also because you know how much material you have, you can control the number of pages. It takes a lot of time to classify these files, but you will be able to find the information you need more easily during editing. So be sure to do it before publishing. Complete categorisation so that the portfolio can be completed efficiently.
Photographing is also an important part. How to use photos to display information about the content. For example, a pen with relevant media can know not only the medium used in the work but also the approximate size of the work.
The photos of the work process can also display a lot of information to the audience. You can know that the process and environment of creation can also prove that this is your work.
The portfolio can show the creator's style. You can understand the creator's design level through the cover to the inner page layout. However, the work may improve the beautification of the work because of the correct editing.
IA4002 Working Methods-Editing & Sequence: Playing Narratives.
Playing board games is a delighted thing, but have you thought about making your own board game?
In the beginning, we first tried all kinds of board games to observe different types of game modes. We also used the angle of the observer to watch the whole game process. Some game rules are simple and easy to understand. These games are not complicated by complicated rules. And the game is terminated. However, the gameplay is not very diverse. Repeated play is smooth and dull. On the contrary, the game with complicated rules is difficult to understand, but the gameplay is diversified. It can be played continuously and repeatedly.
We want to make a horror type of board game. The name is organ harvesting. We use dark colour tones and monster characters to shape our idea.
Our age group is set in the youth community. The overall style is semi-realistic monster design, the game appearance is not too violent and bloody.
Our chessman is based on the concept of a mad scientist.
The middle turntable design. The various instructions of the game are here.
The game rules:
You are an evil scientist and you want to bring your monstrous creation to life. To do so, you must harvest the required organs from a human victim. The first scientist to collect all 10 organs win the game and are able to awaken their freakish creature.
Game rules:
- Each player places their “evil scientist” piece on the space that says “start”
- Each player spins the organ spinner so that all players start the game with one organ
in their monster’s body.
- All players must play a game of rock, paper, scissors. The winner takes the first turn
to roll the dice.
- Landing on a red space means that you can spin the organ spinner to collect an
organ.
- Landing on a black space means that you can steal another players organ. You are
allowed to choose which player you are going to steal from and which organ you would like to steal. However, in order to be able to steal, you must spin the challenge spinner and win one of the games(coin toss, rock, paper, scissors and dice roll).
- Landing on a blue space means that you have a chance to steal all the organs of another player of your choice. In order to steal, you must win a game from the challenge wheel.
to sum up: There are a lot of experiments between game rules and game design. Trying various rules is game-oriented and reasonable. The more tests you test, the more unnecessary errors you can make.

Story-Creek bridge
Converting text into images and then converting them into animations is a long process. Finding key visual images is very important, like comics. With the post-production of sound to present the coherence of the whole story.
This story is quite difficult for me to understand. I spent much time investigating the time and place of the story, as well as the historical events that were made at the time.
Because there is only a narrative of the text, I search for the image that I think matches the protagonist's vision according to the text. I also understand the personality and appearance of the character.
This is the bridge described in the story. Print out the scenes mentioned in all the stories. It will not only deepen the content of the story but also make it easier to understand.
Put together the scenes mentioned in all the stories, just like comics. I will use this information to imagine how the protagonist interacts in these scenes.
This is a scene of execution penalty (hanging). I am looking for similar movie scenes to deepen my understanding. It also helps me to refer to the storyboard when painting.
Start the stage of drawing the storyboard. We pick a paragraph we are interested in to draw. Because there are limits on the number of sheets, we will continue to draw our drafts quickly. While correcting the length of the story, adjust the content of the screen.
After a long period of drawing and adjustment, I finally completed the part of the storyboard. Next is the part of the dubbing. I am not very good at this part. It is tough to simulate the ambient sound, and the sound of the character movement in the story (if you want an authentic voice) Try to imitate these sounds through the collision sounds of different objects. Some of the created sounds will be more unexpected than the real sounds. When you try more, you will know more about which scenes need to be used to formulate the sound. The melody of the music can also deepen the emotions of the animation, just like when the marriage proposal will broadcast some romantic songs to increase the atmosphere. The design of these sounds depends on what the author wants the audience to feel in your animation.

second work
We use Stop Motion (APP) to shoot directly and make simple animations. This app is efficient and free. Sometimes you want to test some simple sketch animations; this app Ihighly recommended.
IA4001 Introductory Principles-ideas through images: Hold the eye P.2
It is an exhausting lesson, and we draw hundred of figure sketches. I am using different ways of drawing, like using your left hand to draw, using both sides to draw, sometimes using fingerprint with charcoal powder to create a different tone and line. Besides, we keep moving around the model to draw her figure, which keeps changing post and movements. It is hard to capture her body line, but everyone still eyes contact with her and both hands no stop like we are crazy and keep drawing. I have never had this kind of experience. However, in the last hour, we collect our drawing and animate them, which have unexcepted outcomes.!!! I quite enjoy this crouse but exhausting~~
IA4001 Introductory Principles-Ideas through images: Cabinets of curiosity Day.1
Sketching in the tube is a big challenge for me, not only because of time constraints but also because the crowd is moving very fast or suddenly crowded. However, it is these factors that come back to present exciting works. The things that are missed are not pursued. Keeping the focus of the moment is the critical point. When things are changed, they are replaced with others. This makes me more flexible when I am outdoors.
In The Museum of childhood, I reminded me of the toys I used to play when I was a child. At the moment I painted dolls, my brain automatically connected to my past memories, which is really an incredible link. I also saw the toys produced in different cultures of different countries. When I looked back more carefully, I found that the difference between the toys of the East and the West is enormous, and the difference in the shape of the dolls is even more significant. But I also understand the history and intentions of these styles and colour combinations.
It is even more strange in the collection museum! There are human anatomy, weird historical antiquities, and unique styling installation art. Although there is a strange atmosphere, I am very interested in these things, and the current depiction is like the author of this item. In the moment of recording, I also learned more about these things, history, and stories that I have never seen before. I am delighted to have a two-day journey to the museum.
Day 2. The British Museum.
Sketching the same character in an hour!!!!!!!
Sketching an hour with the same character is an exciting challenge. You can continue to draw with your eyes closed after painting. It is also found that the lines after 40 minutes are bright and clean, compared with the first minute of the beginning.
IA4001 Introductory Principles-Ideas through images: Poetic Objects.
Each object could be used metaphors, symbolic. My partner and I begin to discover every meaning about every purpose we bring. Then we use our detail observation to analyze the feeling from objects. Thus, this image is the first day we discussed.
The second lesson, we start to turn our ideas into the real object and take photos. We try different combinations, background, poses, and presentation of light and shadow. Even we try to put some dirt on my fingers to experiment the affection on photographs.
Different backgrounds and different combinations show us different feelings when we contrast them. Even lightness and darkness can tell pieces of information to audiences. So we have to carefully to edit our objects which should be in the picture which should not.
We used the white background want the audience can focus on our objects. Our image tries to interpret the parent's love, overprotecting, controlling or eager having a baby. This is our final.
IA4003 Research, Recording and Presentation-Reflect and Construct: Everyday Connections
After editing different photos, unexpected surprises will occur, and the images and images will suddenly have a connection. I thought that there would be no associated photos, but they have a sense of story or similarity. But now I am still trying this kind of image to give me the sensory stimulation! Try to combine and see. Maybe there are new discoveries.
My final image.

Plus, The presentation of the animation can more activate the communication of the image message.
Article: How music helps connect people living with dementia.
How listening and playing music can help patients be happier, healthier and more harmonious.
1. Help them maintain language and speech skills
2.Anxiety and depression that reduce the symptoms of dementia
3. Encourage the patient's physical activity
4. Reduce the need for drugs
My final work.
IA4001 Introductory Principles-Ideas through images: Ideas in motion p.1
Using the information provided by the article to image and simplify complex text messages is a good exercise and challenge. Learn to grasp the connection between focus, image and pattern. Each pattern is the medium of communication.
IA4001 Introductory Principles-Drawing with scissors p.1
Collage is really interesting
In a limited pattern and material, to create a abstract theme that makes images be bizarre when the pictures mixed and combined together. However, it adds fun and creativity. The finished pattern gives me a richer imagination space and extended thinking. I like this very much. Especially process!
IA4001 Introductory Principles-Drawing with scissors p.2
Although the simple collage creation is not very detailed, it can clearly show the performance of the theme.
I was amazed at the fact that I could create such a great spatial vision in the simple tones of black and white. The extra shape that is invisibly filtered makes the theme clearer. These are great works
To sum up, We are used to a creative mode; it is easy to decorate too much. However, when we use another medium to feel like changing another brain, there will be different thinking behaviours to perform the work. The conversion between them is very Unbelievable

Introduction to the Teaching Block & Lecture 1: Reportage, visual journalism and animated documentary-Documenting Differently
We choose the Kingston market and explored and recorded the environment. Each of us tried to create different images from a different time.
9:00~10:00
In the morning, the vendors are busy preparing ingredients, no guests are sitting, or buying meat, vegetables or fruits.
13:00-15:00
In the afternoon, people began to get more, and the entire market began to get busy.
17:00~18:00
In the evening, the guests began to decrease, people went home, and the vendors began to pack up. End the busy day.
