So i randomly thought of a tadc au idea yesterday where ribbit is pomni's identical twin in the real world and when ribbit abstracted in the circus and pomni entered, their codes were very similar and Caine got confused and ended up glitching them together. So pomni joined the circus with part of ribbits design and had a tiny piece of ribbits mind so ribbit, although already abstracted, can see what pomni sees and pomni can feel what ribbit feels, sometimes so clearly that she mixes it up with her own.

Example: when pomni sees jax for the first time, she feels like he is very familiar although she herself had never seen him before. She also feels a slight hurt from looking at him cuz he did pushed ribbit into abstraction, but pomni doesn't know that.

There was where I got the idea from LOL my thought process was like "remember how there was a theory that pomni and ribbit were the same person last time just cuz they have some similarities lol that was kinda stupid" "Wait what if they were" and boom there's the au

Random original novel Pomni angst cuz I said so: She looks mostly like her mother, who abandoned her right atfer she was born. However, her eyes, which is what most people notice about on first glance, is an exact copy of her abusive adoptive father’s (it is passed down through her mother but the duke also has the same eyes), so sometimes when she looks in the mirror, she just wants to pluck out her eyes.

RANDOM FACTS

Zoey wrote the novel after her own problems: Gangle as an orphan stands for her feeling disconnected from her family, Jax was written for what she thought would be her dream partner, having others love Pomni but only she knows how manipulative she is stands for the bullies in her school. 

The birthmark of a bow under Gangle’s eye and on one of Caine’s teeth (and on Ribbit’s right palm) is because Gangle is, well, made of ribbons, Caine and Ribbit has a bow in the canon series sooo hehehe 

Pomni’s mother was also the mother of Ribbit. She had a marriage of convenience with Caine and was unhappy in the marriage. She had Ribbit and stayed married to Caine for 6 years to fulfil her side of the contract, but left the moment she could. She was horrified to find out that she was pregnant with another of Caine’s child soon after she left him and gave up Pomni to her brother, the current ‘father’ of Pomni. He accepted only because his wife passed during childbirth together with his own child and needed a heir. So Pomni and Ribbit are full-blood sisters while Gangle is their half-blood sister and they all have no idea.

KEY EVENTS (MIGHT ADD ON IF I CAN THINK OF MORE)

RAGATHA STANDING UP FOR HERSELF (IN ORIGINAL NOVEL) 

Ragatha finally speaks out against her arranged marriage with the old marquess. Her hair was grown long as the marquess liked woman with long hair, so she cut it right in front of him to protest. She is left with shoulder length hair and a friend (Gangle) who took her in after her own family disowns her in a fit of rage over the lost marriage. 

POMNI ENTERING THE NOVEL 

Pomni wakes up in an unfamiliar bedroom. She freaks out when a woman who claims to be her lady in waiting greets her as ‘your royal highness’ and freaks out even more when she looks in the mirror and see those pinwheel eyes that she recognize as Pomni’s and realized that she was in the novel, as a villainess with a tragic end. 

POMNI AND ZOOBLE TALK 

Pomni was having a hard time adjusting to her new life. New rules, new body, new memories, she might as well had started from square one. As she was walking around the unfamiliar halls of the palace, wondering and dreading how she was going to survive, she bumped into someone. A person with mismatched body parts and a uniform Pomni's original counterpart recognised immediately. The crowned prince and her fiancé's personal knight. Zooble. 

She apologises and they go their separate ways but see each other aain when they both hid in the royal garden during a ball. They talked a bit and bonded over how much they both hated social events and Zooble became Pomni's first friend in the novel, though Zooble technically cannot express their true thoughts due to the difference in their rankings. 

POMNI FINDING OUT THAT SHE ROMANTICALLY LIKES JAX 

At this point in time, Pomni had completed her first clause, breaking free from the storyline a little, allowing her and Jax to become friends. Pomni found herself looking out for him more but figured it was because she now cared for him. But after seeing Jax's genuine smiles and laughter and care, she started to notice herself getting nervous when he was around, her face heating up slightly when he looked at her, or after a while, even being near him made her heart race. However, Pomni hated it. She thinks that it is stupid to fall for Jax, a fictional character, just a fake person created for content. She knows her fate of being killed by his sword in the future and since she was unsure just how much she had freed herself from the storyline, she thinks that she shouldn't risk it. Therefore, she tries to gaslight herself into thinking that it was just the original Pomni's feelings for Jax and not herself.

ZOEY (26) 

Zoey was an e-book writer, or at least she wanted to be. Her family and peers ridicule her for her dream, saying that it isn’t a stable job. She tried everything to get more views on her novel, trying new writing styles, new platforms, new stories, but all of them fell out of luck. Finally, one day, an unknown person commented on one of her works, saying that they could help her promote her novel. Desperate for her novel to become more famous (she did not have a stable job at that time and if writing failed, she would literally have no money and starve), Zoey agreed to whatever contract they sent her. As promised, her novel slowly got more and more fans asking for more. Zoey was so happy at first, feverishly writing more and more chapters for the novel. But being famous came with a downside: haters. Heaps of haters came rushing, saying that she was too overrated and didn’t deserve the fame. Already being insecure about her works because of her family and friends, the amount of hate she got online crushed her. Even the love for her most famous novel became toxic and all the fans were pushing her to create more and more works, then criticizing her for the storylines being ‘rushed’ or ‘unrealistic’. After 57 days or so, she became sleep deprived from how many all-nighters she was pulling to keep up with her fanbase’s demands and soon, she started hallucinating the scenes of the novel. She brushed it off at first, but when she finally fell asleep next to a half-written chapter, she woke up in the novel as the main character.  

Upon entering, she was happy at first, as she managed to escape the pressures of her human life. However, after she repeated the story over and over, she started to understand the hellhole she fell into. After getting the 3 clauses, she tried everything she could, but the longer she stayed in the novel, the more control it took over her. She was never able to fulfill them for a very long time and had mostly given up on ever breaking free from the plotline, letting the novel use her like a puppet. She does not know that Abigail is in the same situation as herself.

ABIGAIL (25) 

Abigail got sucked into the novel when she fell asleep next to it. She woke up as the main villain of the story and started freaking out. She tries to find a way out while living a life as an aristocrat. When she finally realized that there really was no way out, she fell into a spiral. When she fell asleep, she had a dream where she found out that she had to fulfill 3 clauses to be able to break free from the story’s plotline. However, an unknown force pushes her out of her dream before she could find out what the clauses were and she has to figure it out herself by chance. Unfortunately, the plotline off the novel is very strong, pushing her to go through the course of events that happened in the book whether she wants to or not and she can do little to nothing to help it. 

In the real world, Abigail is just an average office worker. She has no friends as she spends most of her time buried in work while her manager takes all the credit. She moved away from her family and lived alone, rarely ever calling them to catch up, let alone meeting them in person. She is just a stressed over-worked person with no one to look forward to at the end of the day, no one to miss her when she's gone, no one to care if she's doing okay or not.

CAINE (48) 

Gangle’s and Ribbit’s (and Pomni’s) father. He was a very honorable duke and warrior as his house was known for being the first and few in the kingdom to have powers in a very long time, with the others being Pomni and Gangle, but he had more powers than them. However, the once invincible house fell after it was ambushed by hooded men when Caine was still resting after he got injured at a battle. He managed to hold them off with his family while his daughters ran but were severely outnumbered as they did not have many soldiers themselves. He managed to use the last of his energy to get himself away but could not tell if his daughters and wife got as lucky. 

He is now the kingdom’s royal secretary after The Great King ‘found out’ what had happened and took him under his wing. He doesn’t go to parties and show himself at all, grieving his loss. His mental health is also poor. 

After Pomni’s and Ribbit’s mother divorced him, he remarried and had Gangle

RIBBIT (17 at the age of death/if alive, current age: 30) 

Jax’s dead fiancé. She is Gangle’s older sister, born 10 years before her. She sent Gangle to the orphanage and tried to run back to help Caine fight but got caught in the crossfire and died. 

Her engagement with Jax was her mother’s decision, with Caine giving her the choice, but her mother forced her to take up the offer. After a long while of her mother’s pushiness, she finally gave in, both to stop her from probably hating her forever and to make Caine happy. She met Jax for the first time when she was 15 and despite not having romantic feelings for him, she loved him as a friend. 

She was pretty rebellious for the daughter of a duke. She would run away from her duties and play with peasants. That was part of the reason why King Draven didn’t want her as crowned princess 

She wasn’t born with powers like Gangle, which was the main reason King Draven wanted to kill her when Gangle was born, as he wanted Gangle as crowned princess instead. 

LOVED ribbons and would always wear them. Coincidentally her little sister was made of ribbons >:3 

She spent her first few years alive listening to her parents quarrel every few days and thinking they hated her (Caine loved her but her mother didn’t). Had no idea that her biological mother had another child
