He was close to lose his mind and kill him in the place.

Liam screamed out as he felt his body consumed by the flames. “It wasn’t me, you bastard! I can’t do that!” The pain was intense, more than he had ever felt before and he had experienced quite a bit during his career.

“Whatever you want! It doesn’t matter what I say. He won’t listen.” The “he” being Evan. Over the weeks Evan had been out for blood as he watched all his plans crumble. He was not a man to take defeat lying down and Liam believed that it didn’t matter who he had to crush under his heel, Evan would have his revenge.

“Of course it is.” Max huffed but he knew Liam was right. They had fallen and it was going to take a lot for them to get themselves back to a functioning unit. “But there’s got to be something we can do. Something that’s not going to blow up back in our faces.”

He rubbed his chin and sighed. “We need guidance. The problem is the people in charge are more worried about saving their own asses instead finishing what they started.” Liam understood that they needed a power source but that couldn’t take their entire focus.

Jack maintained the push all the time, he has the control of the agent’s body and he wanted to manage completely the situation. This was the first encounter with one agent and he has in mind take advantage… if his rage let him think properly. “Why do you think I will waste my strength killing you. He laughed. “You know nothing about me.” He pressed in the wound, still immobilizing his body. “The thing is… I can know everything about you.” Then he used empathetic contagion and made Liam feel pain, and pushing creating the illusion he were burning slowly.

Liam sucked in a deep breath as he felt the push on his wounds. “Just do what you want.” It didn’t matter to him what happened there. Pain always had an end even if that end was final.

This Original was exactly what he expected; power hungry, domineering, vengeful, and out for blood. As he felt his body start to burn terror took over. As Jack were in his mind he could see few things about this man. “Liam Rosenthal. You are really stupid to be here after that shoot.” Jack had no intention to hide who he is. Not this time. He was sick to lose people, and he didn’t like the idea to see the resistance in alliance with the government. So desperate they were? He can understand the reasons what hybrids, humans and second generation had, but no the government. In Jack’s eyes they were the real enemy.

“Let’s take a walk.” He pushed to Liam to obey and walk close to Jack, without try to escape or something. His bad mood appeared and he was trying to decide exactly what to do with him. Jack wanted to send a message, but blood was not the proper. “So… are you happy with what happened with one of us?” He pushed to know his real thoughts. Maybe this was not only the opportunity to say something to the government, is the moment to know about them.

“Does it really matter where we go?” The Originals were hunting them down in the middle of the day everywhere. “I think this might be the safest place in the city for me.” The only thing holding the government together was public opinion and right now no one trusted their new overloads.
