Totally didn’t just watch midsommar for will poulter🤭
Just checked your works and I LOVE them. If you have time, could you maybe write Commodus x fem reader, set in Germania before he killed his father (start of the movie)? Can be sfw or nsfw, whatever you wish
𐔌 Thank you so much for this request. I hope I’ve met your expectations.ᐟ ꒱
˖᯽ ݁˖· wife reader, swf, comfort, jealousy ݁˖ ˖᯽
⤷ ゛Summery: You and Commodus are visiting Marcus Aurelius in Germania. Commodus is a bit insecure I guess. No nsfw because I thought it wouldn’t fit. ˎˊ˗
⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹
Commodus was excited. You could tell, after all he had been talking about it for weeks. The war was won and Rome had claimed yet another land. As soon as the news reached the Palace, Commodus decided that they where going to go to Germania right away. His father had written him a letter, asking him if he would join him and the General. You weren’t as excited about the idea. Leaving Romes warm climate and wandering into cold and rainy forests didn’t seem like something worth a trip that would take weeks, if not months. But you knew that, no matter how much you didn’t want to go,you would accompany your husband regardless.
Of course, Commodus had offered you to stay in Rome. He said that he would slay a bear for you and bring you its fur, but you refused.
„I’ve given it some thought. I’d prefer it if you would stay in Rome. I don’t want you to be near those barbarians. I don’t even want to imagine what they could do to you. Stay in Rome and I will be back in a few weeks.“, he had said in a tone that felt non-negotiable.
You had walked up to him, your hands wandering over his arms, feeling the muscles flex beneath your touch: „You humor me, what kind of wife would I be? Who is going to keep you company.“
He had looked at you with an expression that made you hold your breath, even after all these years you could never fully predict him. But in the end he agreed and the day came. You weren’t happy about how much of your stuff you had to leave behind. Perfumes, dresses, jewelry and so on, all left behind, waiting for your return.
You were right. The north was cold, it was wet and muddy and as much as you hated it, Commodus didn’t seem to pay it any mind. His thoughts were occupied with something different.
„Do you think he is really dying?“, He asked, his body slightly rocking with the pace of the coach.
You returned his gaze evenly: „He’s an old man, he has served Rome well, but the Gods must decide in the end.“
Your opinions towards the Emperor had always been…neutral. But you knew what Commodus was trying to say.
„I think he is really dying this time.“, Commodus continues, „The doctors have to treat him every night now…I’ve been so informed.“
You let him talk, watching his every breath turn into fine mist, his chest heaving with excitement he didn’t dare to let out just yet. He got closer to you, his body taking up all the space you had for yourself in the royal coach. His eyes felt like burning coals on your skin.
„If he weren’t really dying he wouldn’t have sent for me.“ He said
„Maybe he just misses you.“ you said, anything to take back your space.
Commodus huffed: „ And the Senators. He wouldn't have summoned them if…“
Commodus looked at you as if it was something that he didn’t dare to say out loud, as if it would get ruined, so he got closer to you as if that would protect his words from the rest of the world.
„ I think he finally decided. Rome will be mine to rule soon. The first thing Im going to do is honor him with games worthy of his majesty.“
You sighed, wiping a curl out of your husbands face, his hair had grown so much in these few weeks. He needed a hair cut you thought to yourself: „The first thing I am going to do is take a warm bath.“
Commodus smiled faintly, opening his mouth as if he was about to say something when the coach abruptly stopped. You could hear voices outside and Commodus stood up leaping out.
„Why have we stopped.“, Commodus asked.
„We’re here sir .“, one of the praetorian Guards answered.
You peeked out of the wagon as well and a shiver immediately ran down your spine. It was cold and humid, the ground was covered in wet dirt and make shift tends and houses were scattered around the Roman camp. The air was filled of the scent of wounds and death. Commodus gets out of the Wagon. He tosses off his furs, beneath them he was wearing a beautiful set of Lorica Segmentata (the traditional formed armor of Rome, sorry Im a nerd like that). He leaps onto a horse, looking back at you.
„My wife wants a bath, take her to the camp.“, Then he turns to one of the soldiers, „And you, take me to my father.“
———————
Despite your warm bath, the cold still managed to send shivers down your spine. Hours have passed since you last saw Commodus. Naturally you were starting to worry. The unfamiliarity of the land scared you. But your fears proved to be unnecessary.
You were getting ready for rest, reorganizing the furs and pillows your servants had layed out for you, when Commodus burst into the tent. Immediately you could tell that he wasn’t in the best mood. His armored shoulders were stiff, chest heaving as if he had run into battle, and his expression a mixture of annoyance and thoughtfulness. You observed as he grabbed the bottle of wine standing on the table you were dining at moments ago, before he looked at you.
„Maximus.“, He huffed taking a swing from the bottle, pacing around the room, „What does my father see in him, that justifys so much respect.“
„He is a great soldier and General, he has won many battles.“, you said observing how Commodus expression shifted into a bitter one.
„That’s not what I want to hear from my wife.“, Commodus said walking up to you, „You think I’m deserving of such injustice?“
You sat down on the bed looking up to your husband: „I never said that. I’m simply stating the truth. Your qualities are different.“
You took Commodus hand, tugging at it so he would sit down with you. Commodus hesitated, but eventually sat down next to you.
You looked at Commodus, your words gentle: „You posses other virtues…ambition, Resourcefulness, Courage and devotion.“
With every word Commodus seemed to relax a bit his shoulders hanging low. He laid his head into your lap, his hands gripping the fabric of your nightgown.
„Why does Maximus deserve what I could never have? Why does father love his eyes over mine? I would butcher the whole world, if he would only love me...“, Commodus voice was shaky, his blue eyes filled with tears that were about to spill over.
You let your hand run through His curls: „He does love you, and you have my love for yourself. Rome will love you, when the empire is yours.“
You felt Commodus sigh, his breathing slowing down, heavy hands wandering over your hips unconsciously. Commodus breathed in your scent, the floral and herby scents calming him.
„You need a hair cut, Commodus.“, you said warmly a chuckle in your voice.

Im always open for requests :)
˖᯽ ݁˖· ─ wife reader, light nsfw, humiliation, jealousy. ─ ݁˖ ˖᯽
⤷ ゛Summery: This takes place right after Maximus reavealed that he wasn’t dead and refused to show respect towards Commodus. Also he light have looked a bit too long at you. That vexed him terriblyˎˊ˗
⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹
Commodus`heavy steps, accompanied by the metal clinking of his armor like attire, echoed through the prison like chambers under the Colosseum. Guards shouted and pushed the Gladiators, who were waiting for battle in the arena to start, to the side to make way for the emperor and his wife. Commodus had said No multiple times, he did not want you down here with, slaves, Barbarians and dirt, but you insisted.
The Gladiators stared as the empress (you) walked past them, lifting your silk attire so it wouldn’t drag through the dirt and filth on the stone floor.
Commodus came to a halt in front of one peticular cell. There in the back, sat Maximus, the ex General that had defied Commodus minutes ago. You stood behind Commodus, watching the Gladiator intently, remembering the times when he was still the renowned general of the north and they dined together.
Maximus lifted is head, as Commodus came up to the metal bars of the cell, his gaze flickered from Commodus to you, lingering on the empress for longer than he should have.
And Commodus noticed, of course he did, his jaw tightened and his stern expression twistet into a grin.
„Ahh~ So this is how it is.“, he said in a tone that was hard to read.
The emperor reached behind him, wrapping an arm around your waist and pressing you against his side, so Maximus could fully see you.
Commodus continued: „Do you think that I don’t see how you look at her? Like your eyes desperately try to carve her image into your mind, so you can see her when you close them at night.
Commodus` hand wandered from your hip up your back, towards your neck. You were frozen still, a shiver overcoming you as the hairs on the back of your neck stood upright.
„Tell me Maximus.“, The emperor had is eyes fixed on Maximus, „Do you imagine her sighs of pleasure? How she would say your name? Her bare skin in the moonlight?
Commodus watched with satisfaction as Maximus clenched his fists in anger: „The Gods themselves should strike you down for thinking about another mans wife like that, after all, its my name that she whispers like a desperate prayer.“
The composure you had so desperately tried to cling on to, shattered under Commudus`words, your face heating up and turning red. You looked up at your husband, a frown on your face as a mixture of anger and embarrassment stirred in your gut.
„You shame me and yourself!“, you said, but your hissed words met deaf ears and Commodus gripped the back of your neck making you stiffen up and end the protest for now.
„Even I can’t control a mans mind, so linger on to the thought of her…but I want you to remember that I am the one enjoying her touch, she is the one keeping my bed warm.“, Commodus said.
Maximus was visibly boiling of anger but not one word escaped his tightly shut lips as he stared, death wishing daggers into Commodus soul.
„Commodus…“, you whispered in a warning tone, and Commodus looked at you with a serious expression. You knew that Commodus had secretly hoped for a reaction from Maximus, but he seemed satisfied with himself nonetheless. He took your hand guiding you away from the cell but still in hearing range of Maximus.
„Let’s leave, it stinks of sweat and blood down here.“, He said without looking towards Maximus, but the comment was very obviously meant for him.
You sighed. You did not approve of these kinds of childish acts and while you knew how to handle Commodus, keeping him from making the wrong decisions, there were times you felt helpless.
You looked at him: „ Why must you humiliate me that way?“

⤷ ゛Summery: You are Commodus’ wife. You were getting ready for bed when a servant comes rushing in telling you your husband is requesting you in his study’s…He has been drinkingˎˊ˗
──────────୨ৎ───────────
The yellowish, orange light of the torches, eluminated the dark corridors, of the palace. The emperial palace was settling down for sleep. The halls were empty, not one worker, not one slave wandered the marble rooms, except for one servant…
Quickly, her steps echoing through the empty corridors, she hurried towards the empress‘ bed chamber.
You were wide awake, your gaze fixed on the night sky, as you looked out of the large window. A knock ripped you out of your thoughts, followed by a creak of the heavy wooden door, that usually granted you the little privacy an empress had in the palace.
„Empress….“, The servant entered the room, „ I am sorry, but I must disturb you, your husband…he requests your presence.“
You looked at the servant, a frown forming on your face, before you huffed out: „It’s late. I’m not dealing wirth his obsession tonight. Tell him he should come to bed and rest.“
The Servant lowered her head even deeper, while she massaged her own hands. „I understand my empress, but…he ordered me to bring you to him. He is…he is quite drunk I believe.“, the servant looked at you with a desperate, almost pleading look. And you understood.
You recognized the servants fear, letting out a sigh. „I see…“, You said, walking towards the servant, your white, silk nightgown flowing around your body.
„I will see to him. You should return to your quarters now.“, You dismissed the servant. She immediately nodded, before hurrying off.
When you entered Commodus‘ study, he was already awaiting you, staring at the door. He was sitting in his chair by his desk, lips stained red from the expensive Spanish wine that he held loosely in his right hand.
„It took you a long time to show yourself here.“, he stated, „Do you refuse to see your own husband?“
Your eyes wandered over Commodus. He looked tired, his eyes half lidded form the alcohol, he looked relaxed, but you could feel the tension and stress inside of him. You hated seeing him like this.
„It’s late. I could have been sleeping.“, you answered, your voice firm almost accusing Commodus for potentially starving you of your sleep.
„But you weren’t…“, Commodus countered, carelessly taking a sip of the wine bottle in his hand.
You furrowed your brows at him. „You shouldn’t drink this much.“, you said, concern in your voice, „The wine wont help you.“
The corners of Commodus‘ mouth twitched as if he was about to smile: „ You always cared for me…“His voice was rough and slightly slurred from the wine, revealing the vulnerability he only dared to show when he was with you.
Your expression softened and you walked over to Commodus. Unhurried you placed your hands on his armored shoulders, as you slightly leaned against the chair he was sitting on.
„Of course, I would be hurt if you ever thought other wise.“, you answered, a tired smile spreading across your face.
Commodus looked up at you, admiring your face, his laurel slightly crooked on his head. He placed his heavy hands on your silk covered hips, letting them slide up, over your belly, towards your back. His eyes lazily wandering over your body.
„Commodus…“, You breathed out watching him.
For a moment silence hung heavy. Commodus‘ chest rose and fell as though he had run into battle, though he hadn’t moved at all. Then he stood up. Towering over You. You reached for the clasps of his breastplate, your fingers grazing over the cold metal. His hand shot up, gripping your wrist, not enough to hurt, but enough to make you still.
„You tempt me when you should be comforting me.“, He said, his voice rough.
„You called me here in the middle of the night didn’t you?“, You whispered, a smug, yet calculating look on your face, as your free hand slid up his arm, over the hard line of muscles.
Commodus lips curled into a dangerous boyish smile. „Careful.“, He breathed, his mouth only a breath away from yours, „You better not start anything you can’t follow through.“
