A lot of people have followed me lately for things that aren't me: depression, self harm, etc. I am really uncomfortable with this because just because I'm going through a hard time doesn't mean that I'm stuck there.

the problem with people leaving your life is that it's not like they suddenly cease to matter. they're still there in your brain, and the tip of your nose where they always touched, and beneath your eyelids when they're closed. they're there, but a ghost. the imprint that they left on your life lingers on even as the days go by.
