Gymnastics for beginners
Are you a new to gymnatics? Below are some gymnastics for beginners to get started.
Begin by stretching your whole body. Tilt your head gradually from side to part, and gently roll your head backwards. Stretch your arms by holding each across your chest for a few seconds and then raising it again as well as behind your mind. Do a few lunges to stretch your thighs and lower back. Lift each leg slightly off the floor and roll each ankle joint. Flex each of your toes. Roll your wrists and flex your fingers.
The bridge is a stretch that looks exactly as it sounds. Lay down with your back on the floor, knees curved, feet planted, and hands palms down with hands pointed at your feet. You should look like you are about to crawl on your again but create a bridge instead by lifting your back off the floor and pushing down through your palms and foot.
Learning a center split is merely as essential as a front side split to your gymnastics. You'll use a centre split in straddle jumps, side leaps, press to handstands, stalders, flairs on pommel horse, and scales.
Practicing your scales at home will help you transform your balance, flexibility and strength which are all crucial for gymnastics. If you aren't sure what a scale is, stand on one leg and lift the other leg directly ahead for a front scale or immediately behind you for a back scale. Attempt to stand as long as you can without having to lose your balance.
