I can't tell you how many times I have said "I am only here for the Shivasana."Â
I am so glad this word exists.
"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." To this day, especially in times of "disaster," I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world." As we mourn today's tragedy this is an excellent resource for speaking with your children about tragic events. http://fci.org/new-site/par-tragic-events.html
"Let anyone do anything he pleases that’s peaceful or creative; let there be no organized restraint against anything but fraud, violence, misrepresentation, predation; let anyone deliver mail or educate or preach his religion or whatever, so long as it’s peaceful; limit society’s agency of organized force – government – to juridical and policing functions, tabulating the do-nots and prescribing the penalties against unpeaceful actions; let the government do this and leave all else to the free, unfettered market!"
Leonard E. Read, Anything That's Peaceful, 1964

Actually, I do find it amazing. It is amazing that we live in a society where our labor has become so precious. It is amazing that technology has made it so easy to manufacture goods. It is amazing that so many entrepreneurs risked and invested so many times on that technology. It IS amazing, thanks for reminding us.
