        AHSOKA WOULD KNOW THAT VOICE ANYWHERE and the fact that she heard it HERE of all places has her breathing a sigh of relief. obi-wan was – not as she knew him, so she was hoping praying for a shred of normalcy in this new world. there are a few elbows in various people’s sides as she fights her way towards the crowd and towards that VOICE.    “ padme amidala! ”   she shouts, hoping that the other will hear.    “ padme! ”    she calls again.  Â
starter for @libertymade
          she’s confused more than anything, not sure how the woman who’s run up to greet her would even begin to know her, much less in this time and this place. padmé offers her a smile, briefly confused.    “do we know each other?”    she starts with, bracing herself for the usual sorts of interactions that woud happen when someone knew her and she didn’t know them, but this girl was smiling and that was an important thing to note.    “i am padmé though, hello.”
   SHE’S HAD A LONG DAY, but she does her best not to pay attention to them. that dull roar of people who’ve demanded her attention. in this world she’s too young to get a position in politics, and the idea of being someone’s aide and fetching coffee hadn’t appealed  ------  so instead she’s a writer, a journalist, working on a story with no idea where it’ll take her. it’s a good distraction from where padme’d left. she doesn’t miss home  ( naboo or coruscant )  nearly as much with something to do until she got back.
   she’s been wishing for a way back, and a way forward is a good middle ground. in fact there weren’t all that many thoughts of anakin in particular in her mind when padme thinks she sees him from across a city street, fighting against a press of bodies as she makes to move towards him.    “Anakin?”   she calls, it’s crapshoot at best.
@furnacemade // starter tho.

“If you say so.” She mused with a smirk playing on her lips. Normally he would just hold back and hide her knowledge of up coming events. But she wasn’t this time. “ I’m fine. Never been better, actually. Why do you ask?” looking up at the young girl.
     padme smiles in return.    “you sounded a little sharp, that’s all. and at least in my experience people worry more about the motives those around them when something’s bothering them.”   but that also might just be her experience as a politician, where  everyone had something bothering them.

Being in the big city, on one hand it was nice. Alice loved the life that was in New York. But it didn’t help dealing with her hunger. The cold black eyes were a clear as day. “ I suggest whatever you plan on doing, don’t.” Not looking up from her book.
      “i actually wasn’t about to do anything you know.”   she’d gotten half used to people here being even jumpier than they’d been on coruscant, but padme tries not to take it to heart. she’d been startled too, she still is.    “are you alright? i didn’t mean to get in your way, if that’s what you meant.”
