An update.
Three brothers, eleven years, and one pandemic.
I guess all I really want out of life is for Lauren Montgomery to direct an animated Oracle movie.
Young Justice Returning for Season 3
Young Justice fans, it’s time to celebrate, as Warner Bros. Animation has announced the series is returning for a long hoped-for Season 3.
WB Animation notes that more details, including where the new episodes will air and a premiere date, will be revealed later, but production is now beginning on the third season, which promises “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a statement. “We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.” Original Young Justice producers Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman: Doomsday) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars Rebels, Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man) have both returned to the series for the new episodes.
Centered on young DC Comics heroes like Robin, Superboy, Aqualad, Artemis, Kid Flash and Miss Martian, Young Justice’s first two seasons aired from 2011 until 2013 on Cartoon Network. Despite critical acclaim and a passionate core fanbase, the series was cancelled – with Weisman eventually confirming reports that disappointing sales for tie-in Young Justice toys (expected to be a major part of probability for the series) were a major factor in the decision. In the years since Young Justice ended – and with its availability on Netflix still gaining it new viewers - many fans have noted how much they’d like to see it return, with Weisman often echoing their sentiments on Twitter.

And just in time for the walk of death to the polls tomorrow. My lone voice can amount to at least one thing.
I'm never on tumblr anymore, but I think this is important, especially for any of my followers who could use a boost.
I figured I'd just gloss over what happened to me and dissociate from the experience like I always do. But now, I think it's important to note that at this time three years ago, I was still reeling from the discovery from two months prior that the man boy I thought I was in love with left me for someone else. He left me drained of self-worth because I foolishly, without being cognizant of it until it was too late, began to subscribe to his belief that being in a relationship was what gave you any value as a human being. He left me with my career stunted because I had wasted over two years searching for jobs closer to him, ignoring the opportunities I already had here. Three years ago, I hesitantly started a new part-time job after hitting rock bottom. Three years ago, I was crying every night, drinking NyQuil straight out of the bottle just so I could sleep and not have to toss and turn thinking about how worthless I am and what an idiot I had been. And still, three years ago, I was trying to maintain a one-way friendship with a selfish, manipulative commitment-phobe, determined to "be the better person."
Three years later, I am teaching full-time. I love my job. I'm tenured this year. I am two-thirds finished with my Master's after this semester. I'm making a difference. I'm more confident than I've ever been in my life. Three years later, I'm engaged to my best friend, my first love, someone I had every reason to drift apart from yet still has remained committed to our friendship for nearly a decade. I'm planning a future with someone who shows me every single day by his actions, not just his words, that I am a priority to him, even from over a hundred miles away.
I'll have lows again. Sometimes even lower than where I was three years ago. That's what happens in life. But while I'm sitting here, periodically distracted by a sparkly diamond while I type, I'm also reminded that life goes on. Time heals. God provides.
It gets better.

Girl Meets World right now...
Season 1 Farkle: I need you all to understand that I'm growing up and changing, and I'm not always going to be exactly the same person I've always been.
Everyone: Okay.
Season 3 Maya: I think I'm growing up and changing, and I don't think I'm going to be exactly the same person I used to be.
Everyone: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! YOU HAVE TO ALWAYS BE THE TROPE REBEL AND GET BAD GRADES ALL THE TIME!!!!!
My students need a color printer and accessories for creating visual supports in a Special Education classroom. Working with students with disabilities is a wonderful adventure. They teach you just as much as you teach them. We have students come to us in Special Education with specific learning...
Please consider donating to my Donors Choose project for next school year, and take a look at other projects on the site, too. This is a great way to make a positive impact on public schools and know exactly where your money is going. Plus it’s tax deductible!
Through tomorrow, use the promo code LIFTOFF, and Donors Choose will match your donation!
Click the link for more details on my project, reblog this link, and consider donating to other projects you find on the site. This is the time when we teachers are gearing up for our upcoming school year, and any help from you is greatly appreciated!
I don’t have kids yet, but I care about them very much.
The hardest part of teaching is knowing it's never going to get better. There will never be enough time. There will never be enough materials. There will never be enough resources. The expectations to make something out of nothing will always persist. But you can't just say, "fuck it all" and leave because these are children who need us. So you work 60 hours a week while only getting paid for 35, and you pretend you have it all together, and you continue to let yourself be taken advantage of for the sake of the kids who can't teach themselves. And then you're told you're not doing enough. And nothing ever gets better.
