gah i’m so useless even though it’s been my days off i’ve been busy af preping for going away on sunday, plus dealing with a horrible head cold & now i’ve got over 50 drafts ( just from the past couple of days tf ) so i’ll get to queuing them tomorrow hopefully.
sorry i didn’t get around to replies today, i was going to but i got busy & i’m feeling a bit bleh, which sucks since i wanna be better for ed sheeran this weekend, but anyway, hopefully i’ll get them done tomorrow.

“why aren’t you in new york, living your best life??” eyebrows raised as she smirked at hermione. the two were friends. sort of. frenemies would be a more appropriate term, and perhaps alice was a little jealous that hermione had gotten out of riverdale and moved on with her life. “— missed the small town aesthetic?”

“—so i’m guessing you heard the stories??” karen wasn’t sure if she actually believed them. she wasn’t overly superstitious. but yet she had aired on the side of caution. “you know, sometimes the most beautiful things can hold the darkest secrets.”
lucy nodded as karen spoke “i don’t think it’s just a story.” she frowned, eyes drifting back to the ocean “— curses are real. so it’s entirely believable.” she shrugged her shoulders. she didn’t want it to be, but she wasn’t going to touch the water to find out “that’s a nice way to look at it.”

“—no, i’d rather not.” another sigh left diana. faye had a point. no matter where the two ended up after this, it was better than being HERE. who even knew where the hell here was. “—there’s no guarantees. we may be the only ones. that wouldn’t be enough to make a circle.” as much as she wanted to see her friends from chance harbor, she would rather them be there than here. “we’ll figure this out somehow. we’re tough, smart witches. this can’t be something we can’t fix.”
“exactly.” faye looked down, listening as diana spoke. she’d been on the island less than a week and was already certain she was going to find her way off. she knew diana was the only help she had, and the only help she’d probably end up getting. “probably for the best.” she shrugged her shoulders “at least you can escape us all in chance harbor. can’t escape us all on an island we can’t leave.” she smirked, tilting her head as she looked at diana “— - that was a joke. by the way.” she explained “i hope you’re right.”

“hmm—” it was clear that diana was struggling. fries were delicious, but so was salad. “i think i’ll go with the salad. do you have any ranch dressing for the salads??”
“we have ranch.” lily nodded her head, writing the addition on the pad “— and anything to drink? the drinks list is just there in front of you.”

“—don’t you think you should take part of the blame for your own choices??” it was no means an attempt to deflect blame off herself, emma was sure that her being around had its own negative consequences on her. but it was also a two way street. it wasn’t ALL her fault ( though perhaps in a roundabout way it was ). “that long?? i’m sorry.”
“sure, i mess up EVERYTHING i touch.” lily rolled her eyes, it was the truth. she had an uncanny ability to screw up everything good that happened, especially the friendship with emma. “— the best thing i ever had, and i lost it. you’re the one who wasn’t willing to give me another chance.” she frowned “— don’t be sorry. i’m happy, i’ve got a family and everything.” she lied again.

“i wish it was an answer, however; i don’t drink.” she smiled, albeit small, but it was there. “have you had such experience? dreamed something and looked up its meaning out of curiosity?”
“well i’m all out of ideas then.” she smiled at the other female “— can’t say i have, sounds like a fun time though.”

he looked at her, jade? “you– you look just like someone i know.. you must be a doppelganger.” jade would have an entirely different outfit, and hair and she looked a bit older than jade. “you act just like her too,” he said. “i’m not asking you about change, i’m asking you, why you didn’t want to come inside,” he said. “because you were about to, do you like music?”
“so i’ve been told.” fallon shrugged her shoulders. she knew there was somebody around that looked like her, despite her avoidance of admitting that jade looked a thing like her. “at least i’m not a teen goth though, huh?” she raised an eyebrow as a smirk appeared on her face “i changed my mind because it didn’t look very interesting. because i’d rather go shopping for clothes.”

“You mother did not give you up!” she snapped, a little anger finally coming into her tone, “She- I would never have done that. Lilith, please I am your mother.” she let out a shaky breath, “This is not your home. It is no ones home.” She knew that after a few days, “You… you’re mine Lily. I didn’t give you up, you were taken from me.”
“prove it.” lily raised an eyebrow as her eyes met back with the other female - annoyance evident in her voice. it was less that she didn’t believe her, but more so she didn’t want to. she was used to being alone, she was kicked out of home as a teenager, and had been on her own since, none of which would have happened if she had an actual mother growing up. “what do you mean?”

“caitlin’s the one to thank.” she smiled back at iris “— one interaction with killer frost, and everything came flooding back.”

“ i’d rather be able to see slightly than not at all. ” the blonde agreed with a nod. “ well, we could walk around and ask people – see if they know? ”
“i agree.” she nodded in agreement, again. “sounds like a better plan than sitting here hoping they come and explain it to us, doesn’t it?” she laughed.

“ actually, you didn’t but.. ” the blue haired girl gave the other woman a shrug. when the other woman finally smiled, evie lightened up a little. “ i don’t actually know – all i know is i’ve had a rough day and would like to forget about it. so, what do you suggest? ”
“depends how much you enjoy alcohol.” she shrugged her shoulders. she wasn’t great at conversation, but waitressing seemed like the easiest job to get, something she couldn’t ruin like she did with most aspects of her life “— up to you.”
