this isn't only hetalia, people are fussy about trans headcanons in pretty much every fandom i've ever been in, but like. who cares if someone headcanons your goat as transgender. it's not that deep if someone sees china as a trans woman, if you want male china then interact with male china content. same goes for headcanons under the nonbinary umbrella. if you don't like it, just ignore it or block the creators, don't be a bitch about it
personally i am of the belief that more hetalia characters need to be trans women. first of all trans women are beautiful and a blessing to this earth, and second there aren't enough women in hetalia anyways and sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands. yes i make ocs too (i'll post them one day i swear) but what if sometimes characters would simply be better as women. yes this is about my daughter iceland. iceland is a trans girl and nobody can change my mind
point is, if you don't like to see your characters headcanoned as anything under the trans umbrella (tboy, tgirl, or anything in between) then just block and move on. no need to make a fuss about it
(yes, this even applies to hungary. i personally really really strongly dislike tboy hungary — "she thought she was a boy until she went through puberty" yes and that is because she didn't conform to strict gender roles and didn't act like a stereotypical woman, so how could she possibly be a woman if she didn't act the way women were supposed to act? her entire storyline is about accepting her femininity as a part of herself despite the fact that it didn't conform to gender roles — but i just block people with a tboy headcanon. it's really easy to block people and move on. and i feel like hungary is the only character where a trans headcanon would contradict her storyline anyways)

I will say there's literally 3 characters on the top of my head that can be trans but not a binary gender and they are; Hungary, China and France
