Quick and Easy Barbecue
Tired of slicing, marinading, and skewing pork barbecue? Well thank goodness for pre-prepared pork barbecue from Suki Market.
These are just awesome! Only 100 pesos for a pack of 10! :)
I miss cooking korean beef stew. I could have this dish everyday. :)
Raa Raa Ahh Ahh Raamen!
Gaga ooh lala! Ahahaha. Let's cook some bad ramens! :P
My dad brought two boxes of Ramen from his trip to Japan a couple of months back. This box is Agodashi Ramen, Agodashi is flying fish in Japanese (Thanks Dianne for the info). :)
The instructions were written in Japanese, but good thing they had pictures and numbers.
So I cooked the noodles for 4 minutes separately and set them aside.
I boiled water then added the soup mix. The soup doesn't give any hints of a fishy smell, but more of japanese soy sauce aroma, which was a good thing for me.
I then added Sukiyaki Cut Pork, shredded Chinese cabbage, and eggs to the soup and let it boil for another 10 minutes.
Then voila! Raamen pigout! It tasted pretty good. The soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice texture. But it would be better if you use beef instead of pork to lessen the fat. Our instant noodles here are no match to this bad-ass ramen! :D
Wacky Family. :D
Serious Family
Need to get my shit together
Instead of hitting the gym I ate the following for dinner:
1.) Fried Sharksfin dumpling with Hainanese Rice
2.) Fries
3.) Oreo Blizzard
4.) Strawberry Gobbler
Sarap mag-food trip! Huhu. Paano na ako magiging ganito?
Bwahaha. Happy eating everyone. :D
My new love - Ferrero Rondnoir
Crunchy dark chocolate smothers this glorious chocolate orb.
Dark chocolate cream surrounding a "black pearl" of fine dark cholocate, within a delicate, crisp wafer topped with crunchy dark chocolate morsels . . .
Love at first sight! I wish they sell these locally.
Cheesy Bolognese
I was inspired by the pasta that I ate at Joey Pepperoni last Friday so I made some of my own. It's really easy to make this dish, yet it's so delicious.
For the ingredients you'll be needing:
Pasta - any will do, I used Penne
Tomato Sauce
Ground Beef
Olive Oil
Garlic
Onions
Pineapple Juice
Soy Sauce
Sugar
Pepper
Cheese - Cheddar/Parmesan
Cooking Time
1.) Heat a spoonful of olive oil on a pan. Simultaneously cook some pasta on a dutch oven.
2.) Saute the garlic and onions for a minute or two.
3.) Add the beef, saute for 2-3 minutes then add the pepper, soy sauce, and sugar then simmer until the beef is brown in color.
4.) When the color of the beef had turned brown add some grated cheddar cheese. Stir for a while then add the tomato sauce then simmer again for 5 minutes. Sorry I wasn't able to take a photo of me adding the tomato sauce. :)
5.) Garnish with parsley and parmesan cheese. Then eat up!
Marciano's
We were at Marciano's at Greenbelt last week to celebrate Xave's arrival from Japan. Good thing Conti's was filled up so we ended up at this place.
Here's Neil being his gay self.
The place looked really nice but it looked more Modern Victorian than Italian. Never mind that, because the food doesn't disappoint. Yum! yum! yum! I liked everything except for one of the pizzas which tasted pretty ordinary. Too bad when I arrived (as usual I'm late) the food was already served. So I neither know the name nor the price of the dishes. Sorry guys.
This is pasta with bulalo and beef. I thought it looked weird and what an awkward combination, but I was wrong. The flavors actually blended well, just don't let it sit too long because the oil will start flaking.
You have your pizzas. They tasted good but nothing mind blowing.
This one's my favorite, steak with beef from Australia and a sausage. The veggies were flavored well too. I loved the string beans and potato wedges.
Fish and chips. Yum!!
Pasta! Both of these tasted gooood! :)
There was a lot more food, I just didn't get to take photos of it all because I was too damn hungry. When we were done there a big plastic bag of leftovers, 4 medium-sized boxes I think.
The total bill.... well, 11,260 pesos lang naman! Hahaha. I would have went berserk if I had to pay this much for food. Thank God Xave was there! The best ka Xave! We all love you. Sana every month bumabalik ka from Japan. Hahaha. :D
After this, we went for a few rounds of drinks and karaoke at a place in Mall of Asia.
Can you resist?
After hitting the gym today this is what welcomed me when I got home. Huhuhu it's calling my name and I just couldn't resist sampling it. Doesn't sound too bad? Well my definition of sampling is about four spoonfuls. :P
It's the first time I've tasted Conti's chocolate cake and it tasted almost identical to Hungry Pac's chocolate cake, especially the icing. I bet if you did a blind test you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I'm not sure how this chocolate cake costs so I couldn't tell you which one is the best value for money, but one thing I'm sure of, they're both sinfully delectable!
Joey Pepperoni
Weekdays are cheap-mode days. Haha. So the challenge is to eat for less than 300 pesos, if I can find a 200 peso meal, then even better. :D
This is my second time at Joey Pepperoni, something's really wrong with their air-conditioning at the SM Manila branch, it's so hot and humid in there. Like most pizza places they offer set meals called Mafia Meals ranging from 140-160 pesos depending on the combination.
Went for Set #6 which is Pasta(Bolognese, Pesto, Carbonara), 2 pcs. pizza (Romana/Margherita), 1 bread, and Iced Tea. This costs 160 pesos.
For the pasta, you can choose from Penne or your good old Spaghetti. The Bolognese tasted nice. The pizza was good too, lots of mozzarella in there, and the bread was well, ordinary. The quality of the food was good but I think they should bump up the serving size a bit for the price of 160 pesos.
One thing I didn't like though was their iced tea. It had a weird taste, kind of like cough syrup.
Also went for Set #5 which is Pasta , 2 Bread, 3 Mozzarella Sticks and Iced Tea. This costs 160 pesos as well.
The Carbonara was nice, the cream was subtly flavored and accented well by the bacon bits. I loved the mozzarella sticks on this meal. Yum!!
