THE SIGNS AS SILENCE
Aries: The silence when you say something wrong - or otherwise awkward. Everyone’s looking at you now. The atmosphere is suddenly heavy when it had been light-hearted and teeming with conversations.
Taurus: The silence in a place that only you know about. It feels like no-one else exists any more, telling you what to do, what to be. You almost forget to breathe, you are so happily at peace.
Gemini: The silence when you run out of breath after speaking too long; too fast. You shoot an awkward grin at your friend or conversation partner. Maybe you don’t need to finish that sentence, after all.
Cancer: The silence after a teary hug with someone you haven’t hugged for a long time. That silence that ends any argument, that understanding, that eye contact. You finally feel as if everything can and will be okay.
Leo: The silence after an unexpected kiss. You’re breathing heavily, staring at one another, confused. Maybe you say something to try and make it less awkward - or maybe you go for another.
Virgo: The silence in a strict library. Everyone walks as quietly as possible so as not to disturb each other. You expertly turn a page, without making a single flutter of a noise; you’re very used to this by now.
Libra: The silence when something very important and difficult to receive has just been said. A group stands, not knowing how to comfort the seemingly deadpan individual in their midst. Something important has been lost.
Scorpio: The silence in the heat of anger, neither wanting to explode, both holding their tongues. Eye contact tells more than words ever could. Both hearts beat harder than either thought possible.
Sagittarius: The silence after sex, an unspoken understanding. Grins are almost painfully wide on both faces. Both breathe heavily - not even needing to make eye contact to know how special the experience was.
Capricorn: The silence when you’re thinking really hard. No-one is allowed to interrupt, a finger is held high to indicate that, a pompousness you’d normally shy from. You are on the brink of something… something…that’s important.
Aquarius: The silence apparent in your whirling mind when you have made it clear that you really don’t care about what anyone else thinks. Their lives are meaningless. You are the ruler of your own microcosm.
Pisces: The silence when you are finally at peace. Perhaps it is a dreamless sleep, perhaps it is enlightenment, perhaps it is death. There is no sadness in you, no happiness, no concept of anything, not anything at all.
