Do you recall your first encounter with Mr. Nimoy?

The first encounter with him was in an elevator in San Diego when we both traveled down there to announce that I would be playing the role. It was a pretty cramped elevator and we hadn’t been formally introduced.

Everybody was trying to usher us in so that we were not accosted by the fans. And the elevator goes up really slowly and then the doors open and he just looks at me and he says, ‘You have no idea what you’re in for, kid’” and just walks out and I was like ‘Wait, come back.’

#i loved everything about kirk’s exasperation with his crew in this movie. every time he sighed heavily or rolled his eyes was PERFECT. #i can just imagine him in that first year trying to get everybody to follow his orders and it only works maybe 50% of the time#bones probably pats his head occasionally and says ‘that’s cute jim now shut up and get me a bourbon.’ #i can hear jim whining BUT I’M THE CAPTAIN!!!!! all the fucking time #because he’s got a crew of geniuses but they’re also eccentrtic maniacs and he loves them to bits#but jfc guys come on pLEASE PLEASE I’M THE CAPTAIN BOOOOOONES I’M THE CAPTAIN#scotty PLS #and then spock has to tell everybody to behave themselves while kirk sulks for a while

So yeah, my finale step in accepting myself is taking my own advice and feeling proud of the way I look by flaunting it. I am way happier looking at these photos and feeling genuinely beautiful than looking at a scale and getting excited when I loose weight. Weight is not a measurement of health, your self worth and definitely not your beauty. Let aloe your right to wear a bathing suit when it’s hot as hell! You earned that body, it’s beautiful because it belongs to you! The perfect bikini body joke has been going around for while, just thought I’d contribute, not steal someone else’s joke :P
