i went on a date with a guy a couple of weeks ago and he was really nice but did something strange

he used the word ‘crepes’ like a cuss word and was always like really upset that id heard him and kept apologizing and after a while he winded up spilling water, saying ‘oh crepes’, and then looked me dead in the eye and said ‘excuse my french’

i, thinking this was a hilarious and drawn out pun, laughed really hard for like five minutes. when i was done he looked super offended and didn’t really talk to me again for the rest of the date. he texted me a few days ago and was like ‘i really liked you and i’m so sorry i got offended..’ blah blah you get it

when i explained what i was laughing at, he still didnt get it and i finally realized that this guy didn’t know what crepes were and thought they were a cuss word,
