It really all started at Josh Pyke’s ‘Fans First’ tour when I turned to my best friend Sarah and repeated at least ten times, ‘5 shows!’ We were about to see Josh then and there and had tickets to see him in Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne and Geelong for the ‘Only Sparrows’ tour. To say I was...
Study Break
This week might be study break, but UOW students can make the most of the time off this week by heading to the UniMovies this week to see Cowboys & Aliens for only $4
If Eskimo Joe and Birds of Tokyo aren't enough for you, The Panics are also joining us this week. The excitement never dies down at UOW.

“we are on the boat”! ^.^
The last session already passed half, finished 4 mid-session tests as well as several presentations and major assignments. I decided to give myself a reward - so I bought tickets for a Saturday lunch on a Rhythm Boat @ Darling Harbour. :D
That was definitely a lovely experience. We have live band on the boat playing jazz and country music. People dancing with the music and singing as well as laughing with joy.
Look out of the window, the view is beautiful, I can feel the summer is coming.
Three hours leisure time let me forget coming exams and pressure from work. Wish the weekends could last longer. :D
UOW Creative Arts lecturer, Jackie Redgate, recently won the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize for her photograph, Light throw (mirrors) #4.
Are you a fan of cricket?
UOW is hosting a celebrity T20 match on October 15 to raise money for medical research.
Former Australian keeper, Adam Gilchrist, will join a host of other cricketers and celebrities for a big bash on the university's oval.
If you're keen to come a long to the game follow click the above image for more information.
We're happy to have one of Australia's best bands, Eskimo Joe, join us this Wednesday. It promises to be an amazing night and is just another reason that studying at UOW is great.
Visit the UniBar's website for more information.
Birds of Tokyo are joining us at the UOW Unibar this Saturday.
For more info on all the great events at the Unibar please visit their website here.

Looking to add some international flavour to your life?
Students living in UOW residences organised a massive event highlighting the diversity of being a student at UOW. Twenty-two countries were represented by UOW students and food, music and good times were shared among the crowd. Fun events like this are a regular part of life at UOW.

Today is “Global Highway” @ UOW !
It’s quite exciting to have an amazing tour from stall to stall, nation to nation, really like driving on a “global highway”. :)
