It really is bonkers how different — ie, how much better — my life is since getting my breast reduction. I had heard absolutely nothing but good things about life post-op from other people and the joy of my experience STILL does not exceed the hype. Right before I got wheeled back, one of the surgical assistants told me that her bestie (who’d had the same surgery) said that even if she had to re-do this surgery every year in order to keep the results, she’d still do it, every year, all over again. And you know what — not even THAT is overselling it! Like, I certainly knew I was insecure about my boobs while I had them… but it’s taken the comparison of seeing life without them to realize just how profoundly miserable they made me. Every single thought and action in my life was influenced, to some degree, by an overwhelming and fundamental insecurity w my body. But no more! ⛓️‍💥❕
