This is one of the posts about how unexpected can traveling be...sometimess, it can't go exactly how we plan it... This was supposed to be our super exciting trip to Byron Bay for an amazing @bluesfestbyronbay Festival... 3rd one for us (5th if you count last year's cancelled one). We drove 1200 km from Jindabyne...super happy to finally be able to enjoy some live concerts... We knew that the weather won't be perfect, so we've built a Tarp Kingdom that was supposed to protect us from all the heavy rain in the forecast... we were so excited that finally we wouldn't have to move and we were ready for a fun, muddy Easter Weekend with lots of music & positive energy. The first night hit us hard with LOTS of rain...the Tarp Kingdom survived...but the rain attacked us from the bottom and flooded the campsite...oh well...we made a few adjustments and were ready for the festival... Only to find out that becuase of 1 covid case in the area...they cancelled the whole show... :/ less than 24h before it... Feeling so dissapointed and sharing our love with all the Bluesfest Team, musicians and food vendors, ready to host over 50 000 people at and being forced to cancel the event the very last moment. It had to be devastating for them.. And as for us...it was just a long trip kinda for no reason... so we are trying to make the most of it...and escaping the rain by changing our direction to Dubbo. We packed the tarp kingdom and we are realy for another adventure... Dubbo - here we come!!!!! (at Byron Bay, New South Wales) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNQlmqpDJIi/?igshid=3h3etgvtpb9o
