Have you seen the Photographer Action Figure gallery on flickr?
It has us convinced of our immediate need to fill the Photojojo office with photographer action figures everywhere!

Milk
We just finished our first essay in Advanced Writing and Research. First one was about Zombies. I've started my next one, and this one is about a person named Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to get elected into a public office. The assignment for this one is a detailed comparison between historical fact and film fiction.
I watched the movie when I was last home a couple weeks ago. I was so sad. Even though it was about him being gay, he mentioned a bunch of different minority groups in the movie. And guess what one was? DISABLED
“I ask for the movement to continue because it is not about personal gain, and it’s not about ego, it’s not about power, it’s about the uses out there, and not just the gays, but the blacks, and the Asians and the seniors and disabled, and the uses. Without hope, the uses give up, and I know you can’t live on hope alone, but without hope, life is not worth living. So you, and you, and you, you got to give them hope, you got to give them hope.” – Harvey Milk

Meet our new favorite travel buddy: Mr. Digital Clover, Keychain Camera.
He’s a miniature 2.0 megapixel camera that hangs from a keychain. He takes beautifully toned snaps and silent vids that look like vintage home movies.
We pretty much take him everywhere.
I was at the last California Gubernatorial Debate! It was in Angelico hall- I was like a 6 year old at the beginning because I was so excited and mesmerized by all the cameras. I went with Monica :) We were in the second row, probably 20 ft behind Tom Brokaw. It was crazy!
yummy :)
I discovered with these cookies that sticky dough is a pain to handle with one hand. These cookies seemed so much more complicated because the dough was so sticky. Probably took twice as long. I made the dough, and then half on the plain dough had to be taken out so I could mix the other half with chocolate. I tried using a spatchula, spoon, and finally gave up and resorted to my hands.
Good thing was that I had everything else handled- pouring the vanilla, measuring the flour, cracking the eggs without getting myself and the kitchen totally dirty.
had to get fingerprinted AGAIN a few days ago. It's required for my major because the FBI and DOJ needs to check if I have any criminal records. Uggggg. I got it done right before school started, and then they sent me a letter home a few weeks later saying that they weren't good enough. It took 45 minutes for a thing that is supposed to take like 20 minutes. Totally a CP moment. I blame it all on my right hand...
:)
"Not only do physically disabled people have experiences which are not available to able-bodied, they are in a better position to transcend cultural mythologies about the body, because they cannot do things the able-bodied feel they must do in order to be happy, 'normal', and sane... If disabled people are truly heard, an explosion of knowledge of the human body and psyche would take place." - Susan Wendell
