so i’ve done some digging, and:

this comment of Trump being disqualified is real. this isn’t an Onion hoax or anything like that.

there are only 3 true (constitutional) qualifications to be a president (native born, over 35 years old, and a resident of 14 years)

however, after reading into it a bit more (through var. outlets), unfortunately it looks like we might be reading it a bit wrong. I think the Speaker of the White House meant it as a “you’re not fit to lead us”and not “your candidacy is up & you have been removed from contention”. Additionally, i don’t think (i could be wrong, so please tell me if i am, cause i hate being wrong) the current Administration can terminate the campaign of a candidate; that might be something that is determined by the candidate+ party they’re running for.

a plus side though- the GOP (or Republican) party might have to drop Trump for causing a massive media incident, and potentially sabotaging the possibility of a Republican president.

tl:dr: we’re not out of the woods yet y’all.
