Letās not even get started on how theyāll cut you in line & avoid eye contact so they can say they ādidnāt see you standing thereā.
They will literally wait until u move instead of just saying excuse me.
Not like anyone was wondering, but earlier this year I told myself Iām not moving over for white people if the situation favors them moving. Like, when Iām walking towards a white person or a group of white people from the opposite direction and in the passing-by-each-other situation it makes more sense for them to move than me? I donāt move over, I keep walking dead ahead. Iāll even stare them down.
I stopped moving for white people because I noticed they literally will keep walking straight and not even think to move to the side even though it would make the most sense in the walking path spacing. They wonāt acknowledge you or say excuse me. I donāt even know if they realize they do this rude behavior or if they just donāt care? Absolutely no home training.
Youād be surprised how many White People I bump into in public places. White women more than white men (who tend to notice Iām not side stepping then they will move). When I say ābump intoā I mean full on walking force chest to chest and theyāll blink back in surprise that I didnāt side step so they could walk through. Itās comical because all they had to do was step over half a foot, but you chose to ignore me thinking Iād succumb and now weāre here! :) Thereās also the ones who figure out āoh this girls not movingā and they quickly move last minute and we bump shoulders.
When I first started doing it earlier this year I never realized how often I moved over. I was livid, especially when you notice they donāt even THINK to move over or say āexcuse meā. They truly expect you to go out of your way to accommodate them in this way and itās like FOH.
Iām a very considerate person and Iāll move if the situations calls for me to move like; if there is more room on my walking side, nothing blocking me and something is blocking them, they have children or pets or a stroller, physical disabilities, or if a crowd of people are making movement difficult. But if it doesnāt adhere to any of these? In about 14 foot steps weāre about to get to know each other VERY WELL.
I donāt move for whites or men.
