Went to b3lk with my friend, it was PACKED. We happened to walk past the MK watches, and it looks like they let someone try this watch on and they got distracted and forgot to put it back under the glass case, so this watch was laying out in the open untagged and all. The worker had her back turned talking to a customer, so I grabbed it, took it off the round watch cushion and walked straight out of the door. In and out of b3lk in less than 10 mins lol. I didn’t plan on getting a watch, but couldn’t pass that opportunity up.

Total: $300 before taxes.

FREE STEAKS!

I was shopping and used self checkout, and I scanned the barcode on the top of the steak and bagged it and put it in my cart, when I looked back at my screen it said “please scan other barcode.” So I just clicked “okay” and left them in my buggy and pretended like I didn’t notice the message. I guess you’re supposed to scan the barcode on the bottom? Oh well, free food for me! I only recommend this when it’s kinda busy and the worker monitoring everything isn’t paying attention lol

So not really “lifted” but the cashier did my entire transaction wrong and marked this down to $7 for me... it was already marked down 75% off it’s original price, and she marked it down an additional 75% off because she didnt know it was already marked down... I immediately knew she was doing it wrong when she scanned my first item, so I asked her to hold on and then I went and grabbed more stuff but this is the one I’m most proud of. Hahah

I need a damn magnet, is there anywhere I can go and buy/lift one? If not where do I order online, and what’s it specifically called for a good one that’ll take off most tags? Tired of only lifting things w/o tags for real lol

I use a stack of magnets from Home Depot, press them on the bottom of the lock with the white magnet logo on it, and the cord slides right out.

Ditch and walk

If you ever suspect you’ve been seen, or are being watched, just ditch and walk. You can’t be prosecuted if you don’t make an attempt to leave with the item.

Say you’re not scanning on a self-scan check out, but as you go through you see security make a bee line for you, just ditch the items. Say you changed your mind about buying them, if you’re questioned, or if you are in a supermarket with a food bank trolley by the exit, just ditch the items in there.

Where ever you ditch it doesn’t matter as long as it’s inside the shop and not inside your bag.

!!! I had just a TINY suspicion that I was being heavily sussed yesterday so I DITCHED. Looking back on it later, I realized that I wasn’t being watched at all, but always better to be safe than sorry!

@liftingdiva pointed out in some states in America, concealing is enough to get you prosecuted if you get caught.

I’m a UK blogger so I generally blog with UK laws in mind. Always, always, ALWAYS, be aware of what the laws are regarding shoplifting in your area. Remember that if the big stores are too risky, there’s always an opportunity from other places.

Clothes and makeup I don’t even bother with, because it’s so expected that they will be stolen they’re usually tagged or watched. I steal other random shit and used the money I saved to buy other stuff.

Example: The other day at the arts and crafts store there was a sale of certain packs of really good markers. 12 for £10. So I bought one pack and stole 5 or 6 of the individual ones that are the same kind, but they don’t bother to tag because they’re not expecting to lose as many. Which is stupid because it’s so much easier to steal individual pens than a whole pack of them.

But, yes, know your laws! Never rely on information supplied by someone else. Always do your recon, don’t be lazy. Lazy lifters get caught.

One time I was in Best Buy with my friend and I felt a weird gut feeling we were being watched, and I happened to walk by a desk that several employees were standing at and I saw they had the security footage pulled up on their screen. We ditched EVERYTHING and just walked out, and he went back the next day to look at something and was confronted with the stuff we ditched and they told him to leave. We would have went to jail if we hadn’t ditched. SO scary. Never going back there.

I’m going on a lifting spree Sunday and most of the stores I’m going to have tags that I need a hook to remove!! Mine hasn’t come in, what’s a makeshift I can use instead?? ANY IDEAS are welcomed!

Accident

Got a HUGE haul of clothes yesterday and realized I forgot to detag a pencil tag! Didn’t realize I had it until I got home and saw it. I didn’t beep anywhere?? Scared me, lol! Always double check!

Over the course of 2 weeks I’ve been lifting new clothes and shoes for my vacation, since all the money I’m making is going towards my hotel and activities. I’m going Tuesday morning for one last run to get as many clothes and shoes as possible before I leave. I’m happy with everything now, it completely filled a deep dresser drawer for me, including shorts, dresses, shirts, socks, panties, and swimwear, along with the 2 pairs of birkenstocks in the corner. I’m going to aim for new bras, and jean shorts Tuesday. Along with some jewelry!
