After the Berlin attack, I chose to be offline for the day. But then come back to see the news of Rachel Owen.  Absolutely heartbreaking, for all of them. Not that these words haven’t already been said and said, not that there are any better ones.

was so happy to get manchester tix that i thought wot the hell and bought florence tickets too.  which is insanity, on every single possible level. i wonder if madness might be covered by ticket insurance.

This is my oldest piece of RH merch - W.A.S.T.E. label says 99.00.01. Very soft and fuzzy :) And of course unless you wear it inside out, all the html is against your back. I’ve only seen 1 other of these, wondering if they’re as rare I like to believe? Or maybe EVERYONE HAS ONE and I’m in lala land again.  For those of you in church last night - Let Down. It’s interesting to watch Thom singled out through this whole performance instead of having attention divided among all the band members.  

I really appreciate how much energy he’s putting into the older songs on these shows; they’re not just phoning them in, but actually locating the original emotions in them, which isn’t easy.

I also just love the fuck-ups at 2:45 and 4:00; Thom is so good at rolling through errors with grace and humor that you almost WANT him to mess up for the sheer fun of it.

a moon over water .... i don’t know why i’m so incredibly happy that moon shaped pool is receiving the press adoration it deserves - ’a haunting, stunning triumph, ‘patient perfection’ and so on ...  i rather expect RH cares less what reviewers have to say, but this lp is so so exquisite and thrilling and trilling like birdsong it’s moving to see the writers reach for words to describe what cannot truly be said with words, to feel like yes  isn’t this isn’t this  -  breathtaking. to hear this now.  just don’t leave.  don’t leave.
