“I chose nothing. I already saw your predilection to the dark side, Ariamir, and I was not strong enough then to curb you from succumbing to it. For that, I am sorry. And to hear of your mother dying at your hands does not surprise me.” There was a grim resignation to his tone that did little to not betray his inner feelings. “Your corruption was my greatest regret.”
