Here is a post about food we ate tonight with a recipe included. Not my usual content but since I'm pOsting more frequently, I'll follow my whim. Plus, you should have this recipe. Especially you, fellow former Iowa-Citians. Do you miss Gumby's? These DIY Pokey Stixxx were much better than the original, although the 3-AM-super-drunk-in-the-dorms experience could not be replicated. Especially since Joel and I are not drinking booze during January. On the booze front, I kind of miss it, sort of don't! Sparkling water with muddled lemon, honey, cayenne, and cloves has similar immediate taste effects to a decent cocktail. But, back to this BUTTERY, garlicky, Friday night dream snack. I make my own dough with this recipe... http://www.marthastewart.com/332275/basic-pizza-dough ...and adjust the oven temp to 450, otherwise we smoke out the whole house. Axel's getting really good at fanning the smoke detector.

Tell us how you feel about being 9 months! Scrambling around on his belly, grabbing everything (hang on to your coffee cups!), feeding himself and "feeding" us with his spoon, babbling and singing all day, our baby has us saying "who is this baby?!" He is fiery and funny and charming. He's our #axelmouse
