Details matter, and attention to detail is the hallmark of a professional. For some reason the debate between shooting with JPGs vs RAW still rages. As a photographer, you can influence and control a lot of things, but lighting can be beyond your control more often than you'd like. The link here focuses on landscapes, but you use the same tricks when tackling events & weddings. Make sure any photog you hire is using RAW to capture your moments, and knows HOW to use RAW images to give you the images that you deserve.

The lonely commute
So TIME Inc (not the Time Warner abomination) has spun off from the herd. It's stock goes on sale today.Photo & print journalism is a medium that must remain in our lives. When purely sent to the choppy, less ethical seas of the digital realm odd things begin to happen. I think there is a place for both in this world, and that's why I'll be both subscribing to Time, and purchasing the stock, regardless of the warnings. I humbly encourage you to do the same.

103 On The AT
For 72 hours, from July 26th until July 28th, we are going to attempt to hike 103 miles through the Shenandoah National Park along the AT to help raise awareness, and money for Cancer research & treatment. We are also doing it to honor those who have fought, and are fighting this disease. Click here to learn more, and please consider supporting our homegrown fundraiser. Even a $1 will help, and it goes directly to a responsible, effective charity, no middle men. Even if you can’t give, you will be able to follow us on-line as we take on this challenge. Thank you!
