"H'm, holing myself in my room for a few days wasn't a good idea." He has no idea what's been happening lately.
He finally got out of his room just to get some ice cream. "It's hot out today too. I wonder if I should visit the pool area."
It wasn’t exactly a paintball, but said certain red-head was quick to shoot up out of what seemed like nowhere. What a coincidence, he’d been on his way for a visit anyway.
"M—Midorikawa! You scared me, for a second I thought I was going to get shot!"
He…wasn’t going to get shot, right?
He knew as well as anybody Midorikawa wasn’t exactly the type to participate in these sorts of things, and he looks as neat and particularly paintless as usual. But still, it couldn’t hurt to be careful.
How Hiroto appears out of nowhere sometimes still surprises Midorikawa, for multiple reasons. Disregarding that certain scare, the green haired teen managed a smile.
"What are you, a scaredy cat now?" the taunt was a light one, nothing meant to be offensive but as a small joke and he chuckled quietly. He never knew Hiroto could get so on edge because of this paintball war.
Almost as if he was reading his mind, Midorikawa moved closer to Hiroto, glancing around quickly. “This paintball war seems to have escalated quite badly, a little bit too much competition if you ask me.”
The fact that was he holed up in his room for the past few days while the paintball war was going, pretty much entailed he wasn’t the type to join in on such activities. He was only stepping out of his room because he finally grew bored of just reading, that and he hadn’t seen a certain red head around his room lately. "Jeez… With all this chaos going around, how am I supposed to relax completely? And even the walls and ground are splattered in paint…" He just hopes he doesn’t get hit by a stray paintball bullet.

Touya chuckled at the other’s reaction (absolute manly. no question about it). At least it wasn’t a ghost or some other supernatural figure, like his last guess was. He folded his arms, looking the other over. Probably one of the new students, seeing as he couldn’t recognize the other.
He smiled gently at him, raising his hands up as a sign of defense. "Sorry, sorry. Just wanted to make sure you weren’t a ghost or somethin’." it was true though.
It could be added to the fact that he’s been just a bit afraid of the dark.
Just a bit. But he was learning to face it. Especially with his teacup pig, Muna (though he left her back in his new dorm). Touya hummed, looking around the library. Idly, he thought it was the perfect setting for a horror film. For all he knew they were practically living in one. A spooky academy, with only its staff knowing of its secrets…
He was determined to change that.
"So, guess you aren’t here to explore like I am. We could change that though!" he pointed at the large trunk near the back of the room. Dusty and old, it seemed it was relatively untouched. "See that trunk? There are rumors around that dusty thing."
And he wanted to solve it.
Another sigh passed his lips as he reached over and picked up the book, making sure it wasn't damaged before he set it on the table in front of him. "Glad to know that I'm not a ghost then," he replied with a hint of amusement in his voice.
Realizing that it now was darker outside, Midorikawa frowned just a tad bit, stretching his arms and back. He was after all, in a sitting position for who knows how long.
"Huh?" came his rather smart response, looking over to the boy with a puzzled expression. "I came here to read. I'm not much of the exploring type--" he cut himself off when the other started talking again, pointing over to the dusty trunk.
Curiosity now piqued, he pushed himself off the chair and squinted. "Is there? You got me curious now, so, I'll follow through with it. After all, it seems like one of those mystery novels, maybe there could be clues on a secret room or maybe a hidden treasure!"
"Ah! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Midorikawa Ryuuji. If we're going to solve a mystery, it's good to at least know each other's name, correct?"
That’s right. Embrace your true nature, Midorikawa.
"Ah. I’ve been here for about or week or two myself, give or take." The corner of his lips curl up into a small smile. "Well that’s nice to hear, I guess."
Uh-huh, says the one with the tulip on his head. It doesn't even look like a little flame, sorry Nagumo.
"So you know your way around better than I do then," a small chuckle as he thinks to himself for a moment, "Also heard that Suzuno's joining us to this academy."

"It’s been a while." Touya mused to himself, as he stood in front of the academy’s gates. A month of traveling just let time fly like that.
Walking around the school, he could feel nostalgia take him over. The walls look the same as ever; though, it was night time, and perhaps his vision couldn’t be trusted to make such a statement. It was as creepy as ever though. That didn’t exactly faze Touya though, considering his adventurous side was itching for some action.
The school was shrouded with mysteries; after a few months in the academy he could tell that much. He would spend hours and hours just trying to figure this school out.
Stepping into the library, he didn’t expect to see someone already there. His breath stilled at the sight; was it a ghost. Touya laughed it off (internally, of course). He was probably over thinking. Walking towards the person, he peered over their head.
"You investigating too?" he asked in a hushed whisper.
It had been about a week since Midorikawa's arrival to the academy and most of his days were spent exploring the campus to get to know his way around better and when he got deemed himself done for the day, he'd spend the rest of that day in the library, lounging around.
Unfortunately, the tanned teen had forgotten about the curfew (despite his dorm being near the library) and how dark it had gotten outside the building for he was too absorbed in reading his book.
He wasn't expecting a voice near him, especially one in a hushed whisper which caused the boy to shriek in a rather manly (very girly actually) manner, hands that were holding the book flying up and releasing the book into the air until it clattered onto the ground with a loud thud.
Turning around slowly, he stopped short when he found it was just another boy around his age.
"Jeez! You nearly scared me to death!" Although the words were pretty strong, his voice was meek and tone rather relieved that it was a person, not some ghost or something else.
"Oh~?" Looks like he hit the target dead on. Even so, Kariya’s smirk turned into a grin, flashing his teeth at the older in a mischievous way. "I won’t say a word, Ryuuji-nii. As long as you help me with some things, you’re secret is safe with me. Though I wonder how Hiroto-nii will react when you say that you love him. Ah~ I want to capture the moment when that happens! On video!” The perfect blackmail material.
"Ugh--!" It looks like Midorikawa had fallen right into Kariya's little trap. Either way, as long as Kariya stayed quiet about it, there shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully. " Fine. I'm guessing that would be schoolwork, correct? I know you enough Masaki, you wouldn't ask anything unreasonable from me."
"Eh~?" Not all too surprised at Midorikawa’s answer as he casually leans forward to look at the tanned teen’s face, smirking all the while. "Hiroto-nii will be so disappointed if he ever heard you say that. I’m sure he would want more… heartfelt cookies coming from the person he oh-so-treasures and loves~”
He was a total loss for words, mouth opening and closing like that of a fish as he struggled to keep the blush off his face. "I-- that's-- uh--" no matter how hard he tried to find the words, his tongue kept stuttering out stupid and incomprehensible responses. Kariya hadn't been wrong, but hearing the younger say it out loud hit him hard. Similar to crashing into a wall but less painful. "D-don't you dare tell Hiroto about this!" Midorikawa hissed out softly, voice lowering into a rushed whisper, "I want to surprise him with this gift. So keep quiet about it!"
Seemingly pleased with himself at this point. “I’m sure Hiroto-nii would love these cookies! You are planning on giving some to him, right?”
"Ah--! Well-- erm--" a moment of hesitation as he flitted his gaze around, fingers playing with the hem of his shirt awkwardly. "Yes. I am planning to give some to him-- only because he's done so much for me in the past and since I arrived here! Nothing more, nothing less!" Turns his head away with a heated blush sporting on his cheeks.
Dismisses the glare and just smiles innocently. “Yes yes~ I promise I won’t try anything funny. But I can’t count on saying something though~”
"Why you little--" a click of his tongue as he briskly brushes aside annoyance rising in him. "Honestly, can't you at least not make any trouble for a whole day, that would be nice. Let's just get these cookies made, alright?"
"Eh~? You sure about that?" even more snickering behind his hand. "Anyways, let’s get started on baking!" Don’t worry, he’ll keep his teasing to a minimum. Maybe.
"....." Giving a pointed glare at the younger boy and grumbling something underneath his breath before sighing heavily. "Right. You better not try anything funny. Got it?"
"You sure? I know how spacey you get when you start thinking about certain things~” cue a small snicker behind his hand.
"K-Kariya..! Why you little..!" He just can't win with Kariya, can he? "I don't get spacey! I'm just in... thought. Thinking. It's natural to think, right?"
"Spaced themed huh. That’s a good idea. But I’m blaming you if we made a total mess in the kitchen."
"R-right, of course." Same old Kariya alright. "I doubt we'll make a mess as long as you listen to what I say and not try anything."
"Geh—! …. N-no, I’m not really good at baking… So I appreciate you helping me out, Ryuuji-nii."
So cute. "It's not a problem. I was planning to make some anyways. I got an idea! Let's make it spaced themed cookies, a little difficult since we have to get the shapes right and the icing right too."
"R-ryuuji-nii! Ah, erm, yeah…? I’m going to make them for Haruya-nii and Hiroto-nii."
"I'll help out then-- we'll be able to make more and eat some too. Besides, you're not very experienced in baking, are you?"
"Maybe I could make some biscuits or cookies and give them to Haruya-nii and Hiroto-nii…"
"Thinkin' about making some sweets, Masaki?"
