I’ve decided to take inspiration from my favorite fanfic writers and try my hand at writing my own story for my lost prince Au! For the most basic summery its basically a “what if” scenario of what would happen if Wukong sealed DBK and PIF. The most important thing though is Macaque finding a baby Red Son after this happens! XD

Random ChuuAtsu/Dazatsu thoughts (time travel edition)

So similar to my original time travel thoughts but a little different.

Like Atsushi is transported into the past and is just trying to blend in yanno?

He’s not trying to make waves, just look for the ability user that started this chaos even if it’s just the past version of him.

But he still needs food, money, and shelter so he gets a simple job as a waiter for a local cafe (not the one that the ADA used)

But at some point pm Dazai gets a glimpse of him without Atsushi’s knowledge and well Dazai is head over heels.

Dazai just see’s Atsushi gets the inspiration for “I want to die with a beautiful woman” or maybe “I want those beautiful hands to choke the life outta me”.

Yanno some weird and disconcerting young pm Dazai stuff.

And I dunno I just love the idea of younger Dazai just innocently bothering/flirting with Atsushi like he would with the cafe staff at the coffee place near the armed detective agency.

Meanwhile younger Chuuya wants to bash Dazai’s head against a wall, but instead settles on apologizing for the suicidal dumbass bothering him.

But also actually really likes Atsushi’s ability to out-sass Dazai (plus he is just genuinely really cute).

This of course catches the port mafia’s attention and members also start going to the cafe where Atsushi works.

And no one (not even Dazai or Chuuya) suspects Atsushi as being anything but a slightly nervous twink of a man (which honestly makes sense given how Dazai has been hounding him).

Meanwhile Atsushi is wondering if he’s in the twighlight zone and tries to be normal while occasionally treating to the odd pm member coffee when they stop Dazai from flirting suicide with him (Dazai complains and Atsushi does find it a little funny).

And I dunno I just have one scene in my head, like maybe some enemies of the port mafia hear about the twin black are interested in this one waiter at a local cafe and think Atsushi would be an easy target.

Of course Dazai and Chuuya see some guys corral Atsushi in an alley way and they are heading over there with brutality in their eyes expecting to save this adorably sweet cafe worker that tolerates Dazai’s bs.

But instead they go over to find Atsushi beautifully kicking their asses using nothing but the moves Kunikida taught him (no ability needed).

Random ChuuAtsu thought (hotspring yokai edition)

Hey y’all! So I’ve recently become obsessed with the bsd game app on my phone and absolutely adore Oni Chuuya and his game animation.

But while watching the animation I was inspired by this thought.

(I apologize now for my rambles)

What if in Edo era Japan Atsushi was just a traveler looking for a village after being abandoned by his original village.

He’s tired, hungry, and just wants to relax when he stumbles upon a natural hot spring. And yanno what he decides to sit and relax, maybe munch on some of the berries nearby and just enjoy the freedom/beauty of the springs.

He spends his day just hanging around forging for food, just taking a break from his life and bathing in the hot springs.

Yanno enjoying the fool moon feeling comfortable for once.

What he didn’t expect was a small red Oni to come stumbling in with sake, already a little tipsy, and loudly complaining about a damn fox.

Of course Atsushi was immediately fearful, becaue this is a dangerous man eating yokai, but the oni just stared at him for a few moments before smirking and joining him in the springs.

(This of course terrifies him.)

From there they start talking.

Well more like the Oni keeps asking him questions.

What’s your name?

What are you doing here?

Why did you come to my favorite bathing spot?

Would you like some of my sake?

Yanno casual but friendly enough questions that Atsushi very reluctantly answers (and accepts the drink since if he’s gonna die he might as well enjoy some sake for the first time in his life.)

At some point Atsushi begins to relax as the Oni starts to talk about himself, his current grudge with a fox yokai that lives nearby, and how it’s nice to drink in the moonlight.

Atsushi will admit that he is actually enjoying himself.

Then the oni starts flirting with him.

And well Atsushi is an odd mixture of intimidated, surprised, and flattered.

He never thought of himself as attractive in any sense of the word but apparently this drunk Oni thought he was pretty enough to compose poetry about.

Then the oni starts invading his personal space.

An arm around his shoulder dragging him closer to the oni’s warm body.

A strong clawed hand on his cheek gently pulling his head towards a handsome face with eyes as blue as the sky, flush red cheeks, and a fanged smirk that screams nothing but mischief.

And Atsushi…well he’s had a few drinks himself, he’s in this warm comforting hotsprings with a very attractive inhuman man that clearly wants him and can’t help but think.

“Well why not?”

And so he kisses Oni which leads to a very long pleasurable night~

The next morning Atsushi wakes up with a hangover, a sore body, and a muscular red Oni wrapped around him.

Cue Atsushi having an internal crisis (being the self conscious person that he is) and thinks “oh shit this Oni is sober and probably doesn’t think I’m pretty anymore, oh shit he’s gonna eat me for breakfast!”.

So with his survival instincts screaming Atsushi carefully maneuvers himself out of the oni’s arms (surprisingly easy since the oni is dead asleep) and escapes to continue his travels.

Both living in disbelief that he got seduced by an Oni and was able to escape with all his limbs intact.

He only regrets being too scared/drunk to ask the Oni for his name.

Eh oh well, it’s not like he’ll ever see the red oni ever again.

Cue two weeks later where the Oni (his name is Chuuya apparently) finds him in his new village and asks him to be his wife/drinking partner.

Random ChuuAtsu thoughts (portmafia transfer edition)

Random ChuuAtsu thoughts (Portmafia transfer edition)

Hey ya'll so I had a random thought about the port mafia transfer. Like it occurred to me that it would be awesome if Atsushi was chosen to be transferred but became Chuuya's subordinate. 

They would have so many things they can bond over~

They could bond over the fact they both similarly was brought into the mafia because they care about their friends too much, they both have abilities that makes them question their humanity, both have shit loads of trauma, and both have complicated relationships with Dazai. =w= 

I dunno I just adore the idea of Chuuya becoming a source of comfort to Atsushi as he adapts to mafia life and Chuuya empathizing with Atsushi to the point where they become close~

Then my mind started to spiral into super shippy thoughts =w= 

Things like Atsushi training with Chuuya in hand to hand combat and getting flustered with how close Chuuya gets~

Or

The idea of Akutagawa bothering Atsushi so much to the point that Chuuya thinks that Akutagawa has a crush.

And Chuuya gets a bit jealous, cause he honest to goodness likes the tiger and relates to him more the anyone else. So Chuuya does a Dazai move and gets more physically clingy~ 

Like one armed hugs, patting his back/shoulder, ruffling his Atsushi's hair whenever he can, and maybe when he’s feeling really annoyed he just uses his ability to just pull Atsushi away~ XD

Ohh the idea of Chuuya casually leaning in a little closer to Atsushi is sitting down and “showing him” some random thing on his phone. And if his lips “accidently” moves across Atsushi’s cheek or ear well Chuuya won’t complain (neither would Atsushi but yanno his blush would be impressive lol)

Or 

Chuuya see’s Atsushi interacting his old ADA buddies and gets jealous with the friendly interactions. So like any good mentor from the port mafia he interjects by wrapping an arm around him and pulling the tiger away~

Lol then there’s the thought of Chuuya watching Dazai cling to Atsushi  (most likely seeing Dazai complain about work or some nonsense) and then pulling Dazai off before scolding Atsushi saying something like “Your port mafia now, don’t let the dead eyed Mackrel cling onto you like a leech”!

Fanfic idea- ChuuAtsu Puppy au

Prompt- Chuuya and Atsushi get turned into dogs (AKA: The return of Chuuya the Chihuahua)

Note: Long time no see everyone! I do apologize for my months long hiatus but I had a lot going on. All good things I assure you all (went to my older and twin brother’s weddings, I have been planning my own wedding, and went on my dream trip to Japan). Frankly I love life rn and thank God everyday that the AO3 curse hasn’t taken me out yet lol.

And with that here we go~

Idea ramblings context:

So essentially I had the idea in my head thats similar to my Chuuya the Chihuahua idea but different.

Essentially the ADA are after an ability user who has been responsible for the disappearances of many people.

Like people get suspicious of a possible human trafficking ring so of course someone hires the agency to figure out what’s going on and if an ability user is responsible for it. 

(And just like Asagiri we are gunna just place Rampo out of town for a bit cause he’s just too powerful lol)

Anyways Atsushi finds the guy who he believes is doing the human trafficking and unfortunately gets turned into a puppy in the process.

So the idea all starts out with Chuuya going out for a nightly stroll in some of the more less savory areas of Yokohama. 

Maybe its for port mafia business or maybe he was just having a bad night and took a different route then usual. In any case he goes through and finds a guy kicking around a small dirty fluffy thing. 

Upon closer inspection Chuuya then realizes that the sick bastard is abusing an unconscious dog.

A small adorable white Shiba Inu pup with a little black tie around his neck. 

And of course Chuuya, being the dog lover that he is, cannot let this stand and decides to fuck up this man’s day. 

Sadly, in the midst of beating the shit out of the guy, he fucked up and the man’s ability activated. 

Though instead of getting injured, teleported, or brainwashed Chuuya found himself shrunk to a much smaller size.

HE then looks at himself in a puddle and see’s a tiny red and white Chihuahua with his hat.

Which……..Fuck!

OF course Chuuya tries to use his skill to kill this man, but to his dismay he’s barely able to use his ability while in dog form.

Seeing this the guy laughs and tries to stomp Chuuya but is unable too because the Inu puppy regained consciousness and bit the guys ankle. 

 The puppy then proceeds to grab Chuuya (carrying him by his very loose bolo tie) and running away for dear life.

Once they escape Atsushi being a small tired hungry puppy flops down and first thanks Chuuya before explaining what exactly is going on and that their abilities are significantly weaker rn.

Like how Atsushi only has  access to his regeneration rn and Chuuya can only make himself lighter.

But he mainly explains how that the guy was gonna try and use Atsushi as a hostage to keep the rest of the ADA away.

Atsushi then proposes that they work together because their best bet at survival rn is getting back to the ADA so Dazai can nullify the ability.

(Which of course Chuuya hates with intensity of a thousand burning suns).

Anyways I just love the idea of Atsushi and Chuuya in doggy form trying to survive Yokohama while also being hunted by this ability user. 

I imagine them having long conversations about life and how Dazai will probably be an asshole about this forever. 

Complaining about how inconvenient their bodies are like how Atsushi ,as a puppy, is constantly tired/hungry so he has to take tons of naps and eat whatever he can, while Chuuya has to constantly bark loudly to prevent being stepped on by oncoming foot traffic. 

Oh I love the thought of the two of them arguing about who has to beg people for food because they both find the idea embarrassing. 

Like Chuuya argues that Atsushi is literally a hurt puppy and would probably get tons of food, meanwhile Atsushi argues that people love smaller fancier dogs with cute tiny hats more lol.

Then there is the idea of the two cuddling at night for warmth and talking about what they are gonna do once they get their human bodies back (Atsushi wants to eat Ochazuke and Chuuya says he’ll treat for it and some steak cause man does he want a steak rn).

But just the idea of Chuuya and Atsushi falling for each other while having to rely on one another to survive. 

Like Chuuya being impressed with Atsushi’s willpower and strength during all this but also finding him adorable. While Atsushi keeps finding that Chuuya is actually a really cool person with a protective streak when too many people try to scoop Atsushi up to try and take him “home” (Chuuya argues that the agency will be more willing to help him with the tiger in tow but the Chihuahua huffs a bit too much about it lol~

Of course after a lot of trouble (and more then a few escapes from the ability user) the two puppies are finally able to get to the ADA agency where Dazai see’s Chuuya the Chihuahua (immediately recognizes him) and laughs his ass off. 

(Atsushi absolutely lets Chuuya bite Dazai with the most blank expression on his face. He is completely okay with some slight mauling when Dazai is being an asshole.)

Any ways they get their bodies back (and are immediately embarrassed cause in Fruit basket anime fashion these guys lost their clothes during the animal transformation). 

Once everything gets cleared up Chuuya asks Atsushi on a date (for a steak and ochazuke cause Chuuya Nakahara keeps his promises), they exchange numbers and a beautiful relationship is formed.   

(And as an extra bit of fluff there once Chuuya is human again he forever see’s Atsushi as this big overgrown puppy. Just happy, sweet, and very easy to read given that he just keeps imagining the tiger with the Shiba ears and tail lol)

Fanfic idea- ChuuAtsu swap (BSD Chuuya Version)

Prompt: BEAST Chuuya and OG Chuuya switch places (pre-established ChuuAtsu and slight BEAST DazAtsu).

Note: This was inspired by @Otctagava ’s wonderful ChuuAtsu universe swap art~  and there might be some spoilers to Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST, so you have been warned~

Background information: okay so this idea takes place where Chuuya and Atsushi in the OG universe already has an established relationship and yes it is well known knowledge amongst the detective agency and port mafia. 

(I like to imagine that Fukuzawa and Mori do not interfere for different reasons. Fukuzawa cares for Atsushi like his own kid just like everyone in the ADA so he wants him to be happy but is very willing to use his sword if Chuuya breaks Atsushi’s heart ( again everyone in the ADA is also willing to do this).  Mori doesn’t interfere or try to manipulate the relationship since he views Chuuya as one of his most loyal subordinates. Plus he absolutely does not want to give Chuuya a reason to view him as a threat. In any case there is a mutual understanding to just let the two powerhouses be.)

For the record it never occurred in Chuuya’s wildest dreams that he would have a romantic relationship with anyone much less Dazai’s protege, the infamous “were tiger” at the ADA. 

Heck he didn’t even care about meeting him considering how busy his schedule already is as a port mafia executive. 

He just assumed that if they ever did meet it would have would be either as enemies on the battlefield, allies against some common enemy, or as some stupid bullshit that Dazai would pull for some inane plan.

So it came as a surprise to probably both of them at coincidentally meeting in an elevator to watch the same movie.

Chuuya found it a bit awkward at first since Atsushi seemed so skittish but as soon as they learned that they had a similar interest in movies things started to get interesting.

They watched the movie together and Chuuya found that Atsushi had a very interesting perspective about the story and was rather good company.

(Nevermind that he found a joy in being able to talk to someone about his favorite movie genre, goodness knows he would never be able to live it down if anyone in the port mafia learned that he loves sappy feel good puppy movies).

So after exchanging phone numbers they continued to watch movies together.

Movies became casual hang outs at cafe’s, arcades, bookstores, or even just walking about the streets. 

Conversations that were once trivial became so much deeper as time wore on. 

He doesn’t know when he realized he had feelings for Atsushi, but one day Atsushi just smiled at him with a smile so warm that it could melt snow and he just knew. 

He knew that he wanted more of these casual conversations, of hearing Atsushi complain about his work day with Dazai, of Atsushi sassing him one moment before showing genuine concern for his well being. 

He wanted ametrine eyes filled with life to look at him. 

He wanted warm smiles that would make his heart race harder then any fight directed only at him.

He wanted to lay himself bare in all his  scarred glory to an equally broken soul and feel accepted.

He……he just wanted Atsushi.

He’s been dating Atsushi for about a year and Chuuya can admit to himself that he is whipped.

He loves Atsushi for his beauty, his determination, his sass, his kindness, just about everything.

And sure not everything has been puppies and rainbows, they have disagreements and problems. 

(The ADA were one example of this. The entire agency was very clear on threatening him if he ever thought about “taking advantage of Atsushi” or “dragging him into the darkness”, which he can respect and did his best to prove his feelings were genuine. Though Dazai was the biggest problem, the jealous bastard was constantly sabotaging his dates to embaress himself in front of Atsushi.  Honestly it frustrated him how Dazai had persistently tried to keep them separated, even when he called Dazai out on it the dead eyed mackerel would only pout and say something about “Atsushi-kun deserves better then a gross slug”. 

Hilariously enough it took Atsushi yelling at Dazai and then ignoring him for nearly a month before the other man finally relented and he could date Atsushi in peace with the added satisfaction of pissing Dazai off.) 

So given all the trouble he had endured he was understandably excited for his first anniversary with Atsushi and had planned to spoil him rotten. 

He wanted to take Atsushi out during his lunch break, go to his tigers store to get him a gift, and then end the day with a wonderful home cooked meal of ochazuke at his apartment, and hopefully they can have a wonderfully romantic night together~ 

(The image of Atsushi beneath him his pale skin turning to a beautiful blush pink, with hisametrine eyes looking up Chuuya with so much love and trust. The fact that Atsushi knows his ability, knows how dangerous his touch can be and still leans into him like a man staved was always a rush. Chuuya can’t help but find himself yearning for the next chance where he can have his tiger all to himself and hear his pretty moans, his soft smooth skin, and feel his warm lips against his own.)

“Everything was going to be perfect!”

And that was all Chuuya could think about as he headed to give a report to the boss before getting ready for his day with Atsushi.

Well that is until he gets hit with the mother of all headaches and then everything goes black.

When he wakes up he’s on the ground in an abandoned building, with different clothes, heeled shoes, and the worst headache he’s ever had in his life.

Of course Chuuya is pissed!

Some asshole skill user seems to have not only kidnapped him but had the balls to put him into an entirely different outfit! 

(Creepy fuckers got his measurements perfectly)

But more importantly whoever kidnapped him is ruining his anniversary plans!

So of course after looking around for the bastard (and finding no one) he grabs his phone to check the time and hope that not too much time has passed. 

And at first he’s relieved cause the time is exactly the same so he has plenty of time to take Atsushi out during his lunch break…..but then he notices something. 

His phone is odd. It’s still the same model, has all the scratches and dents from all the years he’s had it. But his photos of him and Atsushi are just…gone. 

Everything from his selfies, texts, videos, even his more…intimate moments are just gone!

He’s so confused and angry at this point that a part of him just wants to bring the entire building down.

But no, he can’t. He takes a deep breath and tries to rationalize this. 

First things first he needs to go check on the boss. 

Mori probably witnessed the kidnapping (probably some sort of teleportation ability) and would more than likely know’s who the culprit is. 

So with a new set of perfectly fitting clothing he calls for a car to take him to the port mafia HQ to figure out WTF is going on. 

He has plans and he’s not gonna let some asshole ruin them!

So as Chuuya arrives at the Port mafia hq and everything seems the same (granted some people are giving him a wider berth than usual but he just blames that on the annoyance showing on his face. 

He of course goes to straight to the boss’s office, he pauses and gives his usual respectful knock, before hearing an oddly familiar voice tell him to come in.

It can’t be. 

Pure disbelief runs through his veins when instead of Mori he see’s Dazai. 

But not the usual dumbass that he’s known for the past year.

No this Dazai has dead eyes, an empty smile, and is wearing black trench coat with the same the stupid ass bandages wrapping around his face when he was fifteen.

….and wearing Mori’s scarf…..fuck!

Of course his first assumption is about this being some kind of stupid prank and says as much while demanding to know where Mori is. 

And this intrigues the fucker, he can see it in how Dazai’s eye widens before he starts mumbling about some ability user having an unexpected ability. 

Which in turn pisses off Chuuya even more. 

Honestly he’s about ready to beat the answers’s out of Dazai if he keeps being such a cryptic shit that is until someone new enters into the room.

He hears a soft “Dazai-san?” Before he turns around. 

And…what he see’s is just wrong.

It’s Atsushi….except it isn’t.

The man he loves who is usually so full of life and open to the world around him is now shut off, practically engulfed in a large black coat covering half his face while his eyes, his beautiful ametrine that usually look at him with love and adoration are just……Dark.

Dark and almost entirely gold with cat like pupils. Chuuya is stunned and can’t even speak as this fake Atsushi doesn’t even acknowledge him and instead focuses entirely on Dazai. 

And he can see it, notices that same sadistic smirk on Dazai’s face thousands before ripping the mafia’s enemies apart. 

He can hear it in the way Dazai practically purrs a sickeningly sweet “Atsushi-kun~”

From there it kinda goes in slow motion, he notices this odd fake Atsushi stiffen up as Dazai goes towards him, he can see a flash of fear in the younger man’s eyes as Dazai puts a hand against his cheek before Dazai whispers something.

The next thing Chuuya knows is Dazai is kissing the fake Atsushi and the tiger blushes before leaning into it.

He hears one of Atsushi’s pretty little moans, see’s Dazai smirk into the kiss, and then all Chuuya knows is rage.

The next time he’s thrusted into awareness he is in the port mafia cells, his clothes are in ribbons, his arms and legs are chained up (which is a joke considering that he can easily break out of the stupid things), and the smug dead eyed bastard is in front of him with the biggest shit eating grin on his face.

(And although nothing pisses Chuuya off more then seeing Dazai’s smiling face he couldn’t help but return that smirk feeling some satisfaction as he notices that the other man has a bruised chin, some bloody bandages, and broken arm.)

It is then he learns from “Dazai” that he’s not in the same universe. 

Apparently this Dazai had sent the “Chuuya” of this world (which WTF) to hunt/capture a skill user that could alter his victim’s personalities and memories. Though as it turns out he got the wrong information as the skill seems to have the victim transfer their consciousness with an alternate universe counterpart. 

Which, as ridiculous as it is, he can believe (honestly with his time in the mafia this probably only in the top 5 craziest things he’s ever experienced).

But bottom line is this, he’s in this universe’s Chuuya’s body and the other guy is in his. 

And now the other guy is with Atsushi……….FUCK! 

Chuuya promptly breaks out of the chains before threatening to destroy the entire building and the rest of his bones if he doesn’t Dazai doesn’t help him get home. 

Of course the fake Dazai mocks him about how an “angry little chihuahua shouldn’t bark as if he’s a big dog”.

It’s then they strike a deal. Dazai will help Chuuya get back home to his own universe as long as Chuuya keeps his trap shut about the whole universe thing and assist in capturing the skill user.

Chuuya is of course suspicious as hell with how easily this fake Dazai agreed to help him until he learns about one stipulation.

Fake Dazai wants the fake dead eyed Atsushi join Chuuya on his….hunt.

Of course Chuuya wanted to tell him to fuck off as he finds being anywhere near this fake Atsushi deeply disturbing. 

But of course fake Dazai is a dick and insists as extra.....insurance~

And I imagine BEAST Dazai with dead eyes and a wide smile explaining that BEAST Atsushi is best suited to hunt targets given his enhanced senses, but more so then that ….there is an implication that should Chuuya fail then it would fall on BEAST Atsushi’s job to dispose of the skill user. 

Maybe Dazai’s smile turning into a cruel smirk adding on with a sing song voice~

Dazai: “Atsushi-kun is my best exterminator in that regard, though if he fails then it would be interesting to meet your Atsushi-kun. I wonder how he would react to his life here~”

And for a moment Chuuya imagines it. 

Imagines his Atsushi transferred here confused and desperately searching for someone to help him.

Of him going to the ADA who would reject and regard him as an enemy, of Atsushi learning about his role in the mafia and being horrified with the death and destruction, of him going to this fake Dazai for understanding only to have his trust used against him by this slimy bastard. 

And I can imagine Chuuya narrowing his eyes, gritting his teeth, and feeling a resurgence of rage at the thought. 

Because fuck if he doesn’t agree then the fake Dazai will just send the fake Atsushi out, at least if he agrees then Chuuya can direct this fake Atsushi away so he won’t face the skill user.

So he agrees and Dazai puts fake Atushi under his command.

Chuuya fucking hates everything about this.

He hates how he has to treat a stranger with Atsushi’s face as a subordinate. 

He hates having to watch this damn bandaged bastard put his hands on “Atsushi”, softly, gently, possessively as he explains the situation.

Hates watching how this “Atsushi” flinches in fear for a brief moment before blushing and leaning into the bastards touch and regarding Chuuya with nothing more then cold catlike eyes.

(Fuck he wants to punch the bastard again! To tear him limb from limb because fuck thats still Atsushi and now he can’t erase this image in his head! He can see it in the way the fake Dazai smirks at him. This is purposeful, declaration aimed just to piss him off and dammit it’s working!)

And as the day continues into the night it only gets worse.

Interacting with BEAST Atsushi is nightmare.

The man who wears his lover’s face acts like an almost skittish cat.

Always watching him with eyes filled with a quiet cation, always just out of arms reach, always ready to back away any time Chuuya tries to get closer. 

And of course Chuuya is curious so he tries to learn more about their “relationship” under the guise of being under the skills affects. 

AND fuck it’s hard not to be sick with how the fake Atsushi describes how the Chuuya of this world seems to hate him.

How he constantly scolds Atsushi.

How he can’t even stand being near him for long.

How while professional the Chuuya of this world holds nothing but distain for Atsushi’s position with the “boss”. 

It’s such a bitter pill to swallow, cause even with how different this Atsushi is he can still see slivers of his lover.

There is a bite, a sarcastic edge in his voice. 

Sometimes there is a flicker of defiance and life in his eyes when talking about Kyouka or Dazai.

A strong loyalty and acceptance as the “White reaper”.

And Chuuya hates it.

They are able to hunt the skill user and Chuuya see’s the “white reaper” in action.

And fuck it makes him sick to his stomach the way how BEAST Atsushi’s willingness to kill and how he “controls” his ability.

How the spiked collar digs into his flesh drawing blood as he transforms into rabid Tiger.

How terrified this Atsushi became at Chuuya trying to rip the thing off and yelling at him about how this is the only way.

The only way that Atsushi can control himself.

That this is what Dazai ordered and he won’t disobey his “boss’s” orders.

And fuck!

FUCK!

FUCK this universe and all this bullshit that is both breaking his heart and enraging him in a way he hasn’t felt unless he’s in corruption. 

HE just wants to go home!

Go have a nice anniversary with his Atsushi and drown himself in wine to forget this entire world!

Fuck he just wants his lover in his arms, whole, unbroken, and safe!

And Chuuya is determined to make that happen no matter the cost.

So Chuuya does. 

He works together with BEAST Atsushi.

He finds the skill user and unleashes all the pent up rage/stress he’s felt build since he got here.

He does not hold back when the time comes and Chuuya aims to kill.

Because fuck he cannot let this man live, he cannot take the possibility of coming back to this broken mirror of a world. 

And he sure as fuck won’t let his Atsushi come to this place where nothing makes sense and all there is for him is pain and abuse with someone that Atsushi dearly trusts/respects.

Yea fuck that, so Chuuya kills the skill user.

It sucks but Chuuya’s blood runs port mafia black and this……this is necessary.

And for a moment there is silence, and Chuuya waits with a small amount of fear that he’ll be stuck in this hell.

But thankfully (and I just imagine this happening in the bsd way of synchronicity where BEAST Chuuya punches BSD Dazai basically the same time that BSD Chuuya kills the skill user) and Chuuya is back arm fist out mid way with a surprised Dazai on the ground clutching a red cheek.

Then he gets scolded by a confused and angry Atsushi asking him why he attacked Dazai.

And all Chuuya can feel is pure relief as he kisses his lover mid-rant and holds him for dear life.

Because fuck his anniversary was ruined but he’s so grateful to just have the man he loves in his arms.

To have Atsushi be his usual lively, confident, and unbroken self.

From there BSD Chuuya learns about what’s happened in the past 24 hours and explains his situation to Atsushi (some details being left out such as the BEAST DazAtsu).

And on one hand he’s grateful that BEAST Chuuya didn’t harm or mistreat Atsushi.

But on the other hand he’s pissed off and jealous that BEAST Chuuya not only “enjoyed” his anniversary but seemed to take advantage of the situation and get handsy with Atsushi.

(Atsushi actually being pretty chill about the situation. Like I imagine him being both pissed and embarrassed considering what is essentially a stranger impersonated his lover well enough to trick him but at least BEAST Chuuya didn’t take full advantage of the situation when Atsushi “tried” to help “Chuuya” relieve his work stress. But eh it’s still Chuuya-san.)

 And I just imagine that they both have a very long conversation about all this and Chuuya spends weeks being an overprotective/loving boyfriend who won’t let Dazai get within 10 ft of Atsushi under threats of dismemberment. 

At some point BSD Chuuya finds the letter that BEAST has left behind for him and feels nothing but validation in killing the skill user of that universe.

Fanfic idea- ChuuAtsu swap (BEAST Chuuya version)

Prompt: BEAST Chuuya and BSD Chuuya switch places (pre-established ChuuAtsu and BEAST DazAtsu)

Note: I liiiiiive! It's been a while! XD Anyways this was inspired by @Otctagava ’s wonderful ChuuAtsu universe swap art~  and there are some spoilers to Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST, so you have been warned~

Alright so this has been an idea in my head for a while…..and honestly the horny ChuuAtsu thoughts got to me so here we go!

Also sorry if its not super legible, I’ll be honest at the end there I went into full ramble mode lol

Idea: So the idea begins with mafia from the BEAST universe wanting to capture a skill user with the ability to “alter people’s personalities”. 

Of course BEAST Dazai, being the bastard he is, sends BEAST Chuuya to kidnap said skill user. But turns out the guy’s real skill is that he’s able to swap a person’s mind with an alternate universe’s counterpart. 

So one minute BEAST Chuuya is holding the guy by the neck and getting ready to beat him into unconsciousness, the next he’s waking up from the floor in the port mafia boss’s office but instead of Dazai sitting in the seat its Mori.

(And being a couple inches shorter because apparently his counterpart doesn’t care for heeled shoes.)

Of course all of these factors make  him understandably upset and confused, because last time he checked Mori was assassinated by Dazai so the bastard could take the role as the port mafia’s boss. 

So what the hell!

Okay so after some initial confusion, angry yelling, and few broken tables Mori was able to calm down BEAST Chuuya enough so that both of them are able to get a better understanding of the situation.

And shit, it is weird to be in a reality so similar to his own but vastly different.

First of all Dazai (the fucker) had left the mafia when he was eighteen and decided to join the ADA.

And unsurprisingly where Dazai is Nakajima is not to far behind, though it is interesting to learn that Kyouka had abandoned the mafia because of Nakajima’s influence. 

Gin is still part of the mafia but is no longer a secretary to the boss and instead works as an assassin of the black lizards (and apparently has an older brother who has an incredibly strong ability working as exectutive).

After discussing it with Mori BEAST Chuuya decides that the best way to get back home is to just go to the Dazai of this universe and have him nullify the ability.

Of course BEAST Chuuya’s original instinct is to just go over to the ADA, bust down a door, and threaten to bring down the entire building so he can get the skill’s ability nullified and go home buuuut as Mori informs him of the PM/ADA armistice he realizes that can’t be so…..violent about it. 

(Mori counts his lucky stars that BEAST Chuuya respects him enough that he doesn’t want to cause trouble for the mafia of this universe.)

So Mori suggests a more peaceful approach.

As it turns out the most reliable way to  contact Dazai in this universe is to talk to Nakajima.

But what BEAST Chuuya  is that apparently his counterpart was in a “romantic”  relationship with the ADA’s tiger. 

And today was supposed to be their first year anniversary. 

So of course he immediately called bullshit.

Because there was no way he would be into Dazai’s cowardly pet tiger any universe. 

(To clarify BEAST Chuuya doesn’t hate BEAST Atsushi he just always viewed the White Reaper as a sad slightly pathetic kid who Dazai is possessive/obsessed over. BEAST Dazai always made it clear to everyone in the room that Atsushi Nakajima was his loyal pet and romantic partner so it was hard to believe that the Dazai of this universe didn’t have some feelings for Nakajima.

The fact that Mori called Atsushi “Dazai’s protege” only makes him more suspicious of the nature of the relationship.)

But Mori was very adamant that the Chuuya Nakahara of this universe was quite enamored with the ADA’s Weretiger to the point of taking the day off to make sure “everything is perfect for my tiger”. 

(Which again WTF!) 

Luckily BEAST Chuuya had the OG Chuuya’s cellphone in his pocket and that they shared the same phone password and what he found was…..well proof. 

Hundreds of pictures of him with Nakajima smiling.

Videos of watching Nakajima smile and fluster as his counterpart flirts with him. 

Plans on his calendar listing where they were to go for Nakajima’s lunch break and dinner reservations at one of his favorite restaurants. 

Hell there were even texts from the morning with Nakajima wishing him a great day and happy anniversary, which just cemented the fact that his counterpart was indeed in a relationship with the younger man. 

This again makes BEAST Chuuya feel rather conflicted given his relationship with BEAST Atsushi is….well it’s not good.

It’s professional at best and downright antagonistic at worst, granted he doesn’t like being an asshole to the guy but there is a hierarchy in the mafia that needs to be maintained and Nakajima does not follow those rules.

It doesn’t even seem like Nakajima even cares when he scolds him for it! The guy just silently bows an apology with the most deadpan expression before moving on or completely ignoring him for the rest of the time!

Though knowing Dazai, being the asshole he is, probably encourages his little pet tiger to act that way just to piss him off. 

In his mind Atsushi Nakajima the “white reaper” of the mafia is just a sad, pathetic kid that Dazai broke long ago to keep him in the mafia.

Though he starts to wonder exactly how…intimate his counter part is with this Nakajima. 

(At the thought an old memory flashed through his mind. 

Of him barging into Dazai’s office, pissed off with a mission where the Reaper couldn’t control his ability and got several of his men killed. 

He remembers it well. 

Dazai’s unamused glare as he gripped Nakajima’s wrists in one hand while the other held the man’s hip against his desk, the tiger’s face was flushed pink, his eyes glossy with tears, his lips were bleeding, and noticeable there were bite marks on his pale shirtless torso.

He left immediately of course. 

He had to endure Dazai’s complaints about Chuuya “ruining” the mood for nearly two weeks ! 

(The damn mackerel bastard smugly kept going on about having to cut Nakajima’s “punishment” short just when it was getting to the “good part”.)

And BEAST Chuuya is a professional so he just decided to push the unfortunate interruption out of his mind, though try as he might the image of Nakajima’s lust-filled expression stayed in his head.

But as BEAST Chuuya looks at the beautiful smiling face of Atsushi Nakajima ADA detective, he starts to wonder. 

Who is Atsushi Nakajima?

BEAST Chuuya can begrudgingly admit to himself that he got distracted. 

The original plan was to text Nakajima and have him just bring Dazai to him so the bastard can nullify the ability that had him switch minds with this universe’s Chuuya. 

(And worst case scenario if that didn’t work Mori was already using the mafia’s connections to find the skill user’s counterpart.

But Mori suggested that he should just to contact Nakajima directly (since as per usual Dazai is an asshole who won’t take any of their calls). 

And apparently his counterpart had already set a date to meet up with Nakajima. 

So Chuuya figured “why not”, it would both satisfy his curiosity on meeting the Nakajima of this universe and would help hasten his journey back to his home.

So after getting changed into some more comfortable clothing (cough high heels cough), he decides to head out to where his counterpart was supposed to meet Nakajima. 

And again this should’ve been simple thing, all he had to do was explain the situation and the Nakajima of this world would probably want to help him as much as possible so he can get his lover back and enjoy their anniversary.

But then they meet up and things don’t go to plan.

Because soon as he saw Nakajima in the flesh his mind went blank.

No matter how many times he’s observed this universe’s Nakajima through video’s and photo’s it’s an entirely different experience having the man come up to him with with joy and an openness he’s never witnessed from Nakajima before..

For so long he had been used to seeing the Nakajima of his universe with dead eyes, always looking bored, scared, or sometimes embarrassed (because again Dazai is a bastard who is not afraid state his claim over the White Reaper). 

To have Nakajima look at him so tenderly with amertrine eyes filled with nothing but warmth and smile so bright that it could even put the sun to shame was astounding. 

Nakajima looked happy.

Happy to see HIM specifically. 

It was the first time in his life that BEAST Chuuya thought that the other man could look so….beautiful.

So lost in his thoughts Chuuya didn’t notice when the younger man got closer to him until he felt warm lips pressing against cheek accompanied by a soft but sweet “Hello Chuuy-san”. 

And as he flinched back he felt his cheeks warm as Nakajima’s…no Atsushi’s laughter fill the air, no doubt finding Chuuya’s flustered expression amusing, he just knew that things would only get worse from there.

As expected he was right on the mark. 

He wanted to treat everything like a business meeting, just explain the situation to Atsushi with the calm poise expected of a port mafia executive and Dazai’s right hand man.

Just keep it professional.

But he couldn’t!

Atsushi was just so different from Nakajima, the way he was so relaxed with his emotions while sitting down at cafe with him was such a foreign experience compared to the normally quiet and uncaring white reaper that he has come to know. 

He just couldn’t stop staring as Atsushi animatedly talked about his day at the detective agency, listening to the man go on smiling and looking so content was baffling. 

(And so damn cute, watching him talk was like seeing a puppy get excited.)

It made him curious…how did this all start. 

How did his counterpart come into a relationship with Atsushi Nakajima when they worked in opposite organizations.

So lost in thought he didn’t notice Atsushi calling to him until he felt a warm hand rest again his own. 

“Chuuya-san are you alright? You look worried.” 

Chuuya startles both at the warmth and the genuine concern in Atsushi’s expression. 

“Yea. M’fine just tired from work s’all.” 

“Just wondering why you care.” 

He observes how Atsushi’s eyes narrow, seemingly thinking about something before giving him a more gentle expression.

And it makes BEAST Chuuya freeze because Atsushi eyes look at him with so much warmth and affection that he can feel his face heat up when the younger man gently takes his hand. 

“Alright Chuuya-san I won’t pry. Just remember that I love you and will always be there for you whenever you need it.” 

And I just love the idea of BEAST Chuuya having to take a few seconds because Atsushi is being so sincere, so sweet, and so.........radiant. 

The Atsushi Nakajima of this world is just so full of light and it makes something in BEAST Chuuya’s cold heart crack.

Then BEAST Chuuya makes an impulsive decision! XD

Because Atsushi is justing being the sweetest thing and BEAST Chuuya is not used to the affection and care, espiscally not from BEAST Atsushi.

He wants to see more of Atsushi’s smiles.

He wants to hear Atsushi’s voice as he talks about everything and nothing!

He wants to understand how this relationship between them happened and how it came to work.

(And if BEAST Chuuya is being completely honest with himself he wants a break from BEAST Dazai’s bullshit bragging about having BEAST Atsushi as his partner/pet.) 

So BEAST Chuuya puts on his most charming smile and (using Koyo’s training while remembering the videos he studied prior) takes Atsushi’s hand, kisses it, and then says something sweet and flirty like~

“I know Tiger. I’m just a real lucky bastard to be able to call you mine~”

(I like to imagine that BEAST Chuuya has an odd feeling of satisfaction at making Atsushi  smile and blush his claim. And a small part of BEAST Chuuya begins to kinda understand why BEAST Dazai brags about it so much).

And I just adore the idea of their “anniversary” date going basically exactly as planned juuuust with BEAST Chuuya trying to play along. 

Now BEAST Chuuya is not stupid and know’s he needs to return home as soon as possible, he understands that the Chuuya of this universe will probably try to kill BEAST Dazai as soon as he learns that he’s not only the mafia’s boss but also Nakajima’s lover.

BUT on the other hand he’s genuinely enjoying getting to know Atsushi and how their relationship works in this universe.

BEAST Chuuya subtly continues to learn more and encourages Atsushi to talk about how they actually met, what Atsushi likes about him, and just enjoys being able to have a normal conversation over food and other things.

Granted BEAST Chuuya is rather tempted to see how “physical” his relationship with Atsushi in this universe is buuuut won’t go further then making out and maaaaybe some groping lol (BEAST Chuuya know’s this is a once in a lifetime chance and is enjoying it as much as he can without crossing that Dazai scumbag line lol).

Although Atsushi makes this really really hard, turns out even with his best acting BEAST Chuuya still makes Atsushi concerned so the tiger becomes extra physically affectionate to “comfort” his lover lol XD

Anyways after a adorably sweet night where BEAST Chuuya contents himself with cuddling and making out with Atsushi  (while stopping the tiger from trying to jump his bones as an “anniversary present” which tested all of BEAST Chuuya’s self restraint  because having Atsushi in lingerie who is shyly trying to act assertive in the bedroom is both hot and adorable) he decides to use Atsushi’s phone to text Dazai to meet him so he can finally go home.

In the end BEAST Chuuya leaves early the next morning to meet with Dazai, writing a little note to OG Chuuya in his pocket calling him a lucky son of a bitch who quite frankly is lucky that BEAST Chuuya can’t take this Atsushi with him, so take care of the tiger lol. 

And I dunno, I just can’t imagine this ending without BEAST Chuuya finding a way to punch Dazai in the face and returning home to the beast universe. 

Fond of the memories but bitter about the current BEAST DazAtsu reality, though he does start to treat Atsushi better and tries to become friends with him.

Fanfic idea- Yokai Mating season

Prompt: Atsushi gets kidnapped and subjected to weird courtship rituals

Note:  Another iteration of my yokai x Atsushi, hope y’all enjoy my ChuuAtsu and DazAtsu ideas~

Actual idea- 

So weird train of thought I’ve had for a while, I originally thought about it as an ABO thing (probably will write that version later), but I just had the idea of “what if Yokai had weird mating customs?

Like as a goal for Yokai they want the prettiest mate possible. It doesn’t matter if it’s human, youkai, male, or female. The point is that your mate is supposed to be a bit of a status symbol, the more physically appealing your mate is the greater your standing is in the community and all that jazz. 

But there are specific rules for this sorta thing which varies depending on yokai species though the end goal is still the same. 

Convince your kidnapping victim that they should choose you as a partner.

I’d like to think mating season happens once a year in timespan of 4 weeks, the courtship itself goes into phases.

Phase 1 (week 1) : Kidnap your future Wife/Husband from their home, this shows individual your strength to your future mate which will hopefully impress them while also putting said mate off the market.

Phase 2(week 2): Provide a good nest/home for your mate and bring them food/drinks/pretty objects. Try to impress your future wife/husband so they will want to stay with you in their potential new home instead of escaping.

Phase 3 (week 3): Show that you’re able to fight off any other threats if other yokai come around and seem interested in the perspective mate. This could range from a quick scuff or go right to the death depending on the yokai species. Doing this will prove to your mate that you care about their safety while also showing off that you can protect them, your home, and any future children. 

Phase 4 (week 4): The MOST important step at this point is the choosing. The yokai has to let their potential mate choose if they want you as a mate or not for this season or just permanently. If rejected then the Yokai is obligated to help bring their potential mate back to their home and try again next year to woo them if they are still interested. But if the mate chooses to stay then the actual mating ceremony takes place were they “make it official” with a lot of love making =w= 

Mhmm! And I kinda like the idea that different Yokai have different versions of it. Like for example Kitsune kidnappings require them to trick their mate, like it shows off their "strength" through their intelligence. Meanwhile an Oni kidnapping has to be kinda dramatic, like they grab their future mate while daring anyone in their village to try and take em away. Dragons? Dragons just literally scoop their furute mate up with their claws and have to get their mates home without them escaping their claws. Ya know just all these variations but the same common goal. You have to get your future mate home and show off to increase your chances of the mate accepting the courtship.

Atsushi notes: 

Okay so for this Au Atsushi is tiger human hybrid. He has some physical traits that show his yokai heritage like his hair color, eyes, claws, and fangs. He is also slightly stronger, faster, and healths quicker compared to humans and some yokai but otherwise is completely human. 

In this au Atsushi’s parents died when he was just a baby and a human village begrudgingly took him in. Not because it was the right thing to do but because they believed it would help to ward off other Yokai if they had Atsushi as a kind of yokai repellent. 

Suffice to say Atsushi’s childhood was not good, he was constantly abused by the villagers because of his yokai heritage and usually chained/isolated in the chieftains basement to “protect them from his savage yokai blood”. 

This continues on until Atsushi is eventually able to escape to a quiet village.

He tries to live a peaceful life and hide his more yokai nature. He covers his hair, files down his claws, purposely has long kimono sleeves so he covers his mouth when he talks to hide his fangs, and most importantly hides his strength at all costs. 

And he finds peace in the village, granted he’s lonely and people give him the stink eye because of his eye color but otherwise he does honest work as a farmer and makes enough to keep his belly full.

Everything is perfect, that is until some random yokai decides to kidnap him because of “mating season”, which he has no idea what that is about! 

But he didn’t escape one cage just to be dragged into another because some entitled  savage Yokai thinks he’s pretty! One thing is for sure he’s not going down without a fight!

(AKA: Atsushi has no idea about mating season and was raised by a bunch of asshole humans who gave him a lot wrong ideas about other yokai)

Okay so first off for the DazAstu idea:

First of all I like to imagine that Dazai (being the womanizer he is) plays along through multiple mating seasons but only with vixens going after him as a mate. Like they don’t outsmart him or anything but he enjoys the attention, pampering,  and it’s a huge ego boost that yokai all want him. He of course never actually settles dow with a permanent mate or actually pursues to find a mate himself. But pleasure is pleasure and he loves the chance to be lazy/doted on.

(Plus bragging to Chuuya how everyone wants him and no one wants a midget of an oni for a mate~)

But as he is traveling he find’s a very pretty human with the most unique eyes he’s ever seen. 

Granted he’s not entirely sure if the human is male or female but at this point he doesn’t really care. 

His curiosity only grows as he continue’s to watch this beautiful human and realizes that  Atsushi (what an adorable name) seems to be a rare species of yokai hiding amongst the humans. 

How amusing! As a kitsune he can appreciate the trickery and respects that he has been able to deceive the humans without the use of any magic. 

So when mating season comes around he plots and prepares until he’s completely ready. 

Tricking Atsushi was almost dissapointingly easy though, the tender hearted yokai basically dropped everything to “help”  a poor human child (one of Dazai’s better disguises) who’s friend got hurt in a cave! 

Knocking him afterwords was also easy, at this point Dazai expects the courting process to go smoothly because so far everything else has been going well. 

Though that is until Atsushi wakes up and Dazai brags about his trickery.

He expects the little tiger to be impressed or at the very least flattered that such a smart, strong, and pretty kitsune decided to choose him for a mate this season.

What he did not expect was the other man to be so shy to the point that he kept himself mute and stays at the far corner of the cave

Which alright, ouch that does hurt his ego a bit but that was fine. 

He had time and perhaps his little tiger was intimidated at such a grand gesture so he decides to gently coax his little tiger out of his shell by employing the same tactics the vixens from prior mating seasons tried to use on him.

Namely a lot of physical contact, grooming, and attempts at games of wit. 

A few days pass and Dazai admittedly lets his guard down. 

And that is when Atsushi shows his claws. 

Dazai was pleasantly surprised to learn that his shy little tiger was actually a wildcat!

The half breed tries to escape multiple times in the course of the first week.  

Turns out the tiger hybrid was holding back a lot of his abilities. Like the fact that he can be incredibly fast while running and has the strength to throw some pretty good sized tree’s at him. 

(Dazai was also deeply impressed how the tiger used his weakness of grooming to his advantage and tied his kimono cloth to his foot and tail in order to escape!)

Of course when he caught Atsushi the tiger was incredibly desperate to escape………actually it was a bit too desperate.

Because mating season should not have invoked such terror in the tiger, perhaps he had some abusive mates in the past? 

So Dazai outright asked Atsushi about it and learned some incredibly disturbing things about his little tiger.

(And he makes a mental promise to himself to learn where exactly Atsushi’s home village is so he can personally burn it to the ground.) 

It takes some time and apparently several lessons on yokai culture since his dear half tiger grew up with humans, he had no idea about mating season or that he has the choice to accept or reject Dazai after the courtship period.

Eventually Atsushi relaxes after these lessons and begins to actually participate in the courtship. Granted he’s still cautious but with time Dazai learns that his little tiger is actually rather kind but has a tongue as sharp as his claws. 

He’s amused, intrigued, and very much determined to put in actual effort now into convincing Atsushi to be his mate for not just this season but every season~

ChuuAtsu idea: 

Okay so as per usual in my head Chuuya is a short but incredibly powerful oni who is always training and striving for greater strength. 

His life consists of traveling, training, and challenging strong opponents whenever he can.

So for a good portion of his life he just did not care to participate in mating season, mostly cause he didn’t see any use for it. 

If he wanted to have sex he could just go to village and charm a woman. Besides he has no interest in settling down or having kids. 

So ya know useless. 

But then that bastard of a fox started talking shit about him and spreading rumors to the other yokai. 

About how no one would want him for a mate, how no one has ever showed interest in him, how he probably wouldn’t convince anyone to take a midget of an oni for a husband. 

So of course he takes this as a challenge and goes forth to shut that fox bastard up by finding the best mate! 

He goes to town to town and subtly looks for the prettiest human or yokai he can find when he stumbles upon one espeiscally remote village when he see’s them. 

A human with gold and violet eyes with an angelic smile. From what he hears the human is named Atsushi and no one is sure weather the human is female or male. 

Because on one hand they do the labor of a regular farmer but on the other hand they seem to prefer female clothing and the reserved manners of a court lady (cough long kimono’s, hair up/covered, and hiding teeth). 

Though honestly Chuuya doesn’t care. All he knows is that this specific human is gorgeous and has all the mannerisms that would make any sane yokai insanely jealous to have in a mate. 

Granted he does worry about accidentally hurting this seemingly delicate human so he takes his time to find a nice isolated cave and make sure to furnish it so it resembles a more human home then one for an oni. 

(Fucking fox is gonna eat his tail, Chuuya is gonna kick ass this mating season! He’s gonna be such an impressive mating partner that his human is gonna beg him to be his mate every season!)

Then finally mating season begins and he’s ready.

(Now Chuuya as stated is an oni, so he was taught how to go about mating season in a very specific way.

Oni’s are creatures of pride and strength, so they put a lot of emphasis on the first stage of the courting ritual to show off their strength.

They do this by barging into their perspective mates’ home and actually fighting them and then scream a challenge for anyone to stop them from taking their “mate”. Granted this seems barbaric to most species of yokai but it’s still accepted, the point is to show off that they have power and control. That they are strong enough to handle their mate and have enough control to kidnap them without actually causing injuries to their person.) 

So Chuuya essentially barges into Atsushi’s home and does what oni do. 

He wrestles Atushi to the ground and attempts to tie him up.

Now Chuuya expects for the little human to be scared and tries to hold back as much as he can so he doesn’t hurt them. 

He expects to be bored with the fight and that he would have to comfort the human during the kidnapping. 

And as expected the human is terrified when he comes barging in with a traditional Oni mating season declaration. 

What he does not expect however is for his beautiful and gentle human to be a fucking hellcat! 

Short gray hair with a singular black stripe, long fangs and sharp black claws that were hidden by kimono sleeves, and gorgeous twighlight eyes that sharpen into slits at the intrusion. 

Turns out his “human” is actually a male tiger yokai disguising himself in the human village. 

This of course makes everything more interesting cause Atsushi does not hold back! 

The little tiger uses every bit of his strength, dulled claws, fangs, and speed to try and escape Chuuya’s grasp.

(Sadly Atsushi is unaware that he’s accidentally reciprocating the courtship in a very oni way by being so violent.)

What was supposed to be a simple wrestling match turns into an actual life or death fight where Chuuya needs to be careful cause his little tiger is aiming at all his vital points. 

Which is fucking fantastic! His little mate is as strong as he is beautiful! 

And in that moment Chuuya decides that maybe mating season isn’t as dumb as he originally thought it to be, he’s having the time of his life because this is a real challenge!

It takes a while and a lot of blood and sweat on his part but he is finally able to tie up the tiger up without hurting him in the process! 

(Chuuya actually puffs up with pride at that cause he’s fucking nailing this courtship!) 

He looks like he got in a fight with a cat given his numerous cuts and bite marks but Chuuya wears it all in pride, meanwhile his little mate is tired and still is wiggling and cursing at him through the ropes and gagged teeth. 

Honestly Chuuya just watches fondly and expresses how happy he is to find such a pretty/strong mate and just starts praising him for putting up such a wonderful fight, how Chuuya will prove to him that he’ll be a wonderful mate for him this season before gently knocking him out. 

(Which of course terrifies Atsushi in the process)

Then Chuuya carries Atsushi’s unconscious body out of his hut before yelling at the top of his lungs a challenge to the village.

 Cause this is his mate now! Try to stop me from taking him ya fuckin cowards! 

Chuuya is both annoyed and kinda offended that no one takes up his challenge but shrugs it off as humans having terrible taste before heading to their new “home”. 

Of course during the first few days Atsushi (as Chuuya finally learns) is very hostile to Chuuya’s advances, which is fair and Chuuya again relishes the challenge! 

He does everything to try and make sure Atsushi is comfortable and prove himself as a great provider. 

Though it does start to get frustrating when all Atsushi does is keep quiet, ignore him, or try to run away.

But that doesn’t deter him at all! If anything it motivates him!

Cause he’s still go to prove Dazai wrong and Atsushi so far is the perfect mate for him! He’s not gonna just give up on him.

So Chuuya keeps trying to get Atsushi to feel safe but it’s a struggle when every time he lets his guard down the tiger tries to flee with the desperation of scared animal. 

But then it starts to get half way through the 2nd week and Chuuya beings to feel kinda insulted about how all his efforts are getting rebuffed. 

Because he knows that Atsushi can smile, he knows that Atsushi can laugh, and he is tired of being treated as a villain. 

So one day when Atsushi tries to escape he…..well he snaps and yells at him and maaaaaaybe breaks a boulder in the process.

Of course Chuuya expects Atsushi to get mad, maybe yell, or just outright reject him at this point. 

What he does not expect is for golden violet eyes to fill with tears as the Atsushi shrinks into himself almost like he is expecting to be hit.

……..oh…….oh fuck……fuck!

For a moment Chuuya freezes and thinks back to all of those more “fun” times of Atsushi “reciprocating” the courtship and curses himself for his obliviousness. 

He is a terrible mate! 

How the hell could he have ignored all the signs! 

Meanwhile poor Atsushi is just shaking in the corner crying and seemingly trying to hide away from him. 

So Chuuya in all his remorse lowers himself so he’s on Atsushi’s level and gently apologizes. He didn’t mean to scare Atsushi, that this is the first time he’s participated during mating season and promises that he’s not like any of Atsushi’s other previous mates. 

That he won’t hurt Atsushi. 

It’s then that Atsushi finally snaps and yells at him. That he’s scared, and that he doesn’t understand what a “mating season” even is! 

All he knows is that Chuuya kidnapped him and has been forcing some sort of marital fantasy on him, that he does not want to be in another fucking cage after escaping his last one!  And now just when he finally started to feel safe for the first time in his life Chuuya ruined everything!

Of course this makes Chuuya even more confused because Atsushi…. should know this. Like this is basic information for anyone with yokai heritage, his parent or neighbor, literally any yokai should have at least helped him!

He says as much to Atsushi who glares at him and explains that he was raised by humans who hate yokai and kept him in a cage until he escaped a couple years ago.

So yea Chuuya is shocked and enraged because this explains everything.

But most of all he’s angry at himself.

He’s a dumbass who just wanted to prove a point to an asshole fox and didn’t even bother learning anything about Atsushi. He just kept making assumptions about Atsushi and as a result the tiger suffered for it. 

So of course he kowtows to the point he hits his head and breaks the ground (which startles Atsushi) and apologizes because……well he fucked up.

He then explains how a mating season is supposed to work, how it is supposed to be a fun thing in their culture, why he’s personally doing the mating season thing and how genuinely happy he is for meeting Atsushi. But he’s not gonna force Atsushi to do anything he doesn’t want to do. How he has a choice. 

Chuuya does ask however if they can start over, cause he knows he fucked up and would completely understand if Atsushi never wanted to see him again. 

But fuck he’s a greedy bastard and wants to prove to Atsushi that he can be a good mate, that he shouldn’t be scared of his own culture, that he doesn’t have to be ashamed and hide himself because Chuuya thinks he’s a beautiful and strong person both inside and out.

So Chuuya sucks up his pride and begs for one more chance. 

And Atsushi pauses and stares at the oni that he believed has been purposely torturing him for the past two weeks and thinks. 

Because through all of his time with Chuuya has been a prideful and borderline arrogant asshole that just seemed to like fighting him. 

But now, seeing the arrogant man express genuine remorse for scaring him and hearing Chuuya’s side of all this………..it makes him reconsider his opinion. 

So Atsushi, against his better judgement, decides to stay and give the oni a second chance. 

Which Chuuya leaves shocked. 

Because if the roles were reversed he would have told the guy to fuck off and then destroyed the cave that kept him captive before leaving the fucker buried alive. 

Yet here is Atsushi, scars beared with fear and reluctance in his eyes, being kind and giving him a chance.

And Chuuya is gonna fucking take it and prove himself! 

He’s gonna be the best mate possible for Atsushi, he won’t let the tiger regret it! 

Which he does! Atsushi is finally, if cautiously, responding to the courtship.

He eats the food Chuuya brings him, they go on walks where Atsushi can actually explore, and he always checks in to make sure that his little tiger is okay with what there doing and asks if he’s alright. 

As the season continues he promises that even if he rejects him that won’t be mad at Atsushi, that he’ll leave or just stick close by to prevent another yokai from messing up Atsushi’s life. 

(Well messing up his life again, Chuuya is still hitting his head against a tree remembering how he ruined Atsushi’s village life.) 

And slowly their relationship grows more, and Atsushi seems to stop being afraid.  He even enjoys the Oni’s company and….. starts falling in love with him.

He thinks that maybe…..just maybe mating season isn’t so bad. 

(Cue to the end of mating season and Chuuya comes out more mature and now with the prettiest mate who he just wants to protect, not just for this season but every season after.)

Fanfic idea- Yandere ChuuAtsu

Prompt: Chuuya becomes obsessed with Atsushi

Note:  So I realized I haven’t seen any yandere ChuuAtsu at all! Which inspired this. Granted this isn't my best work but man I just wanted to get the idea out there! My apologies for the cringe! XD

Actual idea- 

Okay so I had a moment while thinking of the Yandere Chuuya thing and now I can’t stop imagining Chuuya early on in BSD.

Like the man must have been so flabbergasted and pissed, I mean Dazai, his former work partner in the port mafia came back in the most dramatic bullshit fashion for some reason after 4 years of him being “dead”.

He’s pissed but most of all curious as to why Dazai would do such a thing and goes down to the port mafias dungeon to figure out what’s going on and is fully ready to torture the man to figure it out. 

Of course it happens the same as per usual with Chuuya being blackmailed by Dazai but now he’s curious about “Atsushi”, the ADA’s Weretiger. 

I mean he is a future enemy, and anyone who Dazai talks about so fondly of must be a weirdo. 

So he doesn’t really focus on it but the curiosity lingers in his mind about the guy who Akutagawa will probably shred to pieces just to spite Dazai. 

Cut to a few days later and Chuuya learns that the ADA’s were tiger put Akutagawa into a fucking coma!

Granted Akutagawa isn’t a hand to hand fighter but he has an insanely strong ability and enough fighting experience to be a serious threat, that even Chuuya admits would be a challenge to overcome.

And yet this greenhorn fighter who apparently had no real training or experience with his ability kicked a port mafia’s executive’s ass into critical condition.

Now this, this is what incurs Chuuya’s genuine interest! 

(Finally a challenge!)

So of course as a port mafia executive he tries  to learn about Atsushi Nakajima as much as humanely possible. 

Because ya know “know thy enemy” and all that bullshit.

He see’s a picture.

The tiger is….well he’s pretty. 

Like really pretty.

He would even describe him as gorgeous with golden violet eyes, a slim but muscular build, and unusual white hair. The tiger looks like something from a fucking fairy tale.

And as he learns more about him well…the guy is from a very grim fairy tale at that. 

Chuuya is enraged when he learns about the orphanage, the cage, the bastard of a headmaster that tortured and abandoned the weretiger.

He’s exasperated and amused about how Atsushi joined the ADA, how he “sacrificed” himself to save everyone in the “ADA” from a fake bomb threat that the Dazai probably planted as a joke. 

He respects how even when Akutagawa cut the man’s leg off he still fought to defend his new “ADA” buddies that he only met for a day or two, he could’ve abandoned them but didn’t. 

Instead he fought tooth and nail with an ability that he only just gained some control of.

Atsushi Nakajima seems to be the antithesis to all he knows about the world, and about humanity in general.

For someone who was treated with nothing but cruelty in his life, who should have only focused on his own survival, who has every right to be a monster to be just so……human.

Chuuya finds himself……. fascinated.

Alright so Chuuya reads the mafia’s files, and practically memorizes everything about the weretiger from his height to his favorite food.

Honestly this is becoming ridiculous. 

It’s come to the point that just knowing about the Weretiger is not enough.

He wants to meet him, hear him, touch him.

He tries to rationalize it, this greedy feeling in his chest that he just can’t shake away.

But he can’t.

So instead he decides to do something about it. 

On his next day off he goes to visit the Weretiger.

(And if that day off was also the same day that Atsushi had off well then that’s just a “lucky coincidence”)

So he goes out early in the morning to where he knows the ADA dorms are and waits for him to come out, say hi, talk to him, and then be done with it. 

“It’s just curiosity, I’ll meet him and get over it.” 

So he waits and waits, pets a few stray dogs that seem to stick around the dorms until finally the other man comes out.

“Fuck okay this might’ve been a bad idea.” 

Because his pictures did not do him justice. 

Because the Weretiger, Atsushi, was feeding some stray dogs wearing a causal hoody and jeans. 

Looking absolutely adorable. 

He could hear the other man’s soft yet gentle voice playfully complaining about the dogs but still petting them with a smile sweeter than honey.

And Chuuya thinks his heart skipped a fucking beat.

But no! NO! He’s not some lovestruck sap! He’s here to talk to the Weretiger and get him out of his head then be done with it!

I mean the Were-tiger is sure to be afraid of him, or at the very least wave him off as an enemy cause of his position at the port mafia. 

But in that moment of hesitation a tiny figure leaves the apartment and joins the Were-tiger.

And the pure fucking rage that runs through him at the sight catches him by surprise.

Because WTF why is he getting jealous of a fucking child! 

He tries to shake it off, explains it as just annoyance because he knows Kyouka is protective of the Weretiger, even fought Koyo to stay with him.

And for some reason that stroked his rage even more.

So as he watches the two figures begin to walk away from the dorms and towards the grocery store he makes a decision.

He follows.

Because like hell is he gonna let the mini-asssassin traitor stop him from meeting the Weretiger!

He’ll meet with him, talk, and put all this obsession buisness behind him.

At this point Chuuya knows he’s screwed up.

Instead of stopping his obsession meeting Atsushi only made it worse!

Because he wasn’t afraid of Chuuya nor did he wave him off like some sort of plague. 

No instead when Chuuya approached him when he was alone at the grocery store, the young man was surprised and a bit cautious.  

It seemed that Dazai was smart enough to at least warn his new protege about him, though it seemed like Atsushi at least respected his word about not wanting to cause any harm.

Atsushi was polite, a little nervous at first but once he relaxed was kind of hilarious. 

He outright laughed when the tiger apologized on Dazai’s behalf for his mentor being and quote “a total prick”. 

It was…..addicting. 

Having Atsushi’s twighlight eyes on him, smiling at him, and just talking to him like he’s a normal person.

And if his eyes wander to Atsushi’s lips a bit more then what was appropriate…… well thats his business.

Everything was just perfect.

And then Kyouka had to show up and threatened him at knifepoint.

He would’ve laughed if he wasn’t so pissed! The girl was annoying and for a moment Chuuya was tempted to remind her why he was he was known as the port mafia’s best fighter. 

But then Atsushi stepped in, smiling at the girl like a fucking angel before asking Koyoka to back off cause they should  “trust Dazai-san’s friend” . 

Of course any association with that asshole pissed him off and he said as much, but then Atsushi directed that sweet smile to him and well......he likes the tiger’s attention~ 

But of course Koyo’s brat decided to drag Atsushi away and cut their meeting short.

Again the rage he felt in that moment surprised him, but even more surprising was the urge to drag Atsushi back to him.

He tries to shake it off, because he did what he wanted to do.

He met the tiger and now that should be the end of his curiosity.

Right?

He was wrong, so fucking wrong.

Turns out meeting Atsushi really was like taking a drug.

And now he’s hooked.

He tries to manage himself, allow small doses of the Weretiger where he keeps “coincidentally” meeting Atsushi, be it when on missions or just on day to day interactions. 

And for a time it worked.

Chuuya found that Atsushi was an easy person to talk to and could converse with him for hours without getting bored. 

Working with Atsushi was even better!  Not only could he see Atsushi’s skill up close but as work partner he always did his best to complete the mission without causing collateral damage. 

And flirting with him is always fun, seeing how his cheeks turn red as his eyes widen with surprise was adorable by itself but pair that with a friendly hug, holding his hand, even patting his head and Chuuya is rewarded with shy smiles as the tiger slowly leans into the affection~

He was even able to convince the tiger to regular sparring and it was glorious! Atsushi’s speed, healing, and strength already made him a tough opponent but bring in those claws that could tear through his ability like butter and it brought in a whole new level of challenge!

Sometimes when there was a lull in the day he would daydream about him.

Sweet little things like Atsushi’s smile, of his adorable laughter when his tiger would talk about the day, of his golden violet eyes looking at him and only him~

Again for a while Chuuya was satisfied with these small interactions.

But then he started to notice things.

Like how the ADA were just as touchy and affectionate. 

How Atsushi would beam when Kunikida gave him a pat on the head.

How Atsushi would smile so gently at Kyouka whenever she talked to him. 

How Atsushi wouldn’t mind when the annoying detective (Ranpo) would use him like a damn cab to get around the city!

It was INFURIATING!

Now usually this wouldn’t be a problem, Chuuya is a port mafia executive and Atsushi is a powerful skill user, if he had wanted to steal Atsushi from the ADA then the mafia would have been completely supportive of his efforts regardless for his actual reasons for it. 

But because of the armistice he can't do shit to any ADA member without serious repercussions.

So instead of acting on his feelings he just grit his teeth and bore through his rage, luckily his acting skills are top notch amongst the mafia so he’s able to keep up an amiable facade for Atsushi’s sake.

But then Atsushi started to become more popular.

And as he became more popular Chuuya’s feelings for him became more…..twisted. 

He still adored Atsushi, but he was worried that his current obsession for the man would make him run for the hills.  

Sweet daydreams have turned into fantasies one where he would steal kisses, bite his tiger’s neck, and drag moans of pleasure out of him while claiming Atsushi for himself over and over and over~ 

And fuck even sparring became something like a sweet torture! 

Pinning the man down when he was shirtless and looking so adorably helpless underneath him tested his willpower every single fucking time! 

So like always he takes as much control as he can over the situation.

He employs his underlings to keep an eye on Atsushi outside of the agency. 

He can’t harm the members of the ADA, nor does he want to scare Atsushi by expressing his jealousy and his more….passionate thoughts. 

But when it’s people outside of the ADA and Atsushi’s knowledge it’s fair game.

One of his men hears about Atsushi getting cat called. Well that guy gets by with broken kneecaps and a threat of worse if he disrespects the Tiger again. 

Some unlucky women decides to send Atsushi a love letter? His men intercepts the letter and then Chuuya burns it before politely warning the author to back off by breaking some fingers.

And if a brave asshole outright flirts with Atsushi while Chuuya is around? Well first he asserts his dominance by kissing Atsushi (cheek or hand whichever he can reach without stepping over that boundary) and then finds the guy later to make what’s left of that poor bastards life a living hell.

He knows that it isn’t right, that this obsession is dangerous. 

But everytime he see’s Atsushi’s smile something in him just snaps.

He wants Atsushi, he wants his love and light, he wants to hoard the man’s attention like a precious treasure that only he can possess. 

So he’ll act friendly with the ADA, play the part of a sane man who has pure feelings for the tiger, destroy any threat to their “relationship”,  and weave a sweet web where Atsushi can’t even hope to escape~

Prompt: Atsushi goes back to the past right before Stormbringer

Actual idea- 

As is described Atsushi gets sent in the past and is trapped there believing that he either needs to wait for his friends in the present to bring him back home or wait for time to pass naturally until he comes back to the present (either way Atsushi is not happy and his mental health goes to the dumps since his entire support system is just gone).

Knowing that there is not much Atsushi can do and not wanting to cause any irreperable changes in the future Atsushi decides to just find a normal stable job and keep himself out of the whole PM business since the ADA is not available right now. 

So Atsushi, wanting some sort of comfort in this messed up situation, lands himself a job in a book store and tries to keep himself busy while surrounding himself in one of his most favorite things! Books! 

The new routine is comforting if not a little boring. He’s lonely and doesn’t feel like he can interact with anyone in fear of messing something up in the present day. 

So he tries not to make waves and isolates himself, training his ability on the books store rooftop (cause Fukuzawa’s ability currently is not affecting him right now since he’s “technically” not apart of the ADA) and reading as much as he can to distract himself from his currently very lonely life.

Though things start to change when some random red head kid a little younger than himself comes into the store.

Meanwhile Chuuya Nakahara had just recently joined the mafia a few months ago and decided that he needs to learn more about the whole smuggling gem business that he recently took over.

So he decides to go to a book store that’s relatively close by to his apartment complex to do some research on gems and whatnot. 

He expects to go to the store, grab some books, and maybe get a coffee later on his way back to the apartment. 

What he did not expect was the silver haired book nerd with the most gorgeous eyes and gentle smile to help him out. 

Nor did he expect for the guy to be interested on the topic and give him several recommendations on books about said gems.

He thought the guy would have been more shy given how sullen he looked while restocking some shelves but then Chuuya started to ask about recommendations for other books and the guy lit up like a Christmas tree.

He learn’s that the guy’s name is Atsushi, that he’s eighteen, and that he had just recently came to Yokohama.

He likes studying in his free time, drinking coffee, and his favorite food is Ochazuke but he’ll basically eat anything.

Atsushi is sassy, funny, and Chuuya truly loves it when Atsushi smiles.

Something warm flutters in his chest when Atsushi greets him at the store with a happy “Welcome back Chuuya-kun”.

So Chuuya find’s himself coming back to the bookstore whenever he had spare time or when he needs a break from the mafia and his own existential crisis’s. 

It made him feel normal talking about mundane things like Atsushi’s new favorite mystery novel or a new subject that the older boy wants to study.

And for a while he was content with this peaceful friendship, it made him happy, it made him feel human to have a friend that wasn’t a former sheep or someone who’s blood was mafia black. 

But soon enough Chuuya began to want more.

He wants to take Atsushi out on dates, hold his hand while walking down the street, and cup the older teens face with his hands so he can finally decide if his lips taste as sweet as they look~ 

Now if he can only scrounge up the courage to actually act on these feelings!

In conclusion Chuuya is a 15 going on 16 and falls in love with a time displaced Atsushi who is just oblivious to his new younger friends feelings while trying to survive without gaining the attention of the port mafia or the ADA.

lol thank you! The Yokai au is one of my favorites as well! I love DazAtsu and ChuuAtsu but the I adore DazAtsuYa shenanigans, especially when Chuuya and Dazai just hate each other but tolerate each other for Atsushi’s sake. 😁

ChuuAtsu- Cute aggression

Okay ya’ll its not really a fanfic idea but I just had a sudden thought that I couldn’t let slip by!

I was just reading a really cute fanfic about some characters having cute aggression and realized that works way too well with Chuuya and Atsushi! 

Like think about it, Chuuya has always been a rather aggressive character throughout the cannon series. 

So why wouldn’t that transfer over to his love life?

(I mean seriously look at him and Atsushi’s interactions in the Wan comics, dude is either a tsundere or just likes bullying chibi Atsushi cause he thinks it’s cute!)

Just I keep on imagining different things. 

Like Chuuya noticing Atsushi long strands of hair and wanting to pull on it like a little kid wanting to annoy their crush because he wants to see him pout.

Or the first time Chuuya see’s Atsushi smile he is just barely holding back the urge of reaching up hold Atsushi’s cheeks and then aggressively nuzzling/headbutting him. 

Maybe they just have a casual conversation and Atsushi is being sassy/snarky and Chuuya just has the insane urge to hug him as hard as humanely possible but instead redirects to an incredibly hard but friendly pat on the back.

Maybe he see’s Atsushi sleeping and just wants to poke at squeeze him.

Just the idea of Chuuya having so much cute aggression when it comes to Atsushi but constantly having to deny/redirect it. 

Because he’s Chuuya Nakahara, he’s got a reputation to uphold! He can’t just squeal and try to hug the ADA’s Weretiger like some kid’s favorite stuffed animal! 

Which leads to the port mafia having the misconception that Chuuya is just constantly pissed off with Atsushi because every time after they interact Chuuya is more violent when he fights. 

Like they imagine that Chuuya just wants to beat the shit out of the Weretiger when really Chuuya is letting all his cute aggression out on his enemies.

Internally he’s just cooing about how cute Atsushi is when he laughs, or how adorably wide his ametrine eyes get when he tries a tasty food, or how much he wants to kiss/bite the tiger when he pouts at him.

 Externally he has the most pissed off expression while punching a dude in the face like a machine on auto-pilot.
