“People think that intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them and their response is “you’re safe with me” - that’s intimacy.”

i feel disconected to everyone I know back home. I thouhgt it was a good idea to move to a different city where I would know nobody. Yet i am searching online for this connection..which I had back home. I’m just not good the past week..I know i should be. I like my internship a lot, its a challenge almost every day and the most exciting part has yet to start ( which will be in two months) but I hate to say it, I am lonely here. and I never really understood loneliness because of social media, but I do now. I know coming here is was the right decision, and i still believe it. Its just very hard..and i am coping not very well. Also the last months have been really intense..and maybe its my fear of losing everything that i am now want to be clingy with the people back home. But i am stopping myself. Because i need this distance also for myself. And i need this internship and I also finally do something which i think is important. Yet i am in this different city by myself.
