very intrigued by the fact that closure isn’t the last track, but its the second to last track and then evermore follows it....... this has very folklore vibes in the sense that her second to last song has a soft, calming title but the song is full of anxiety but instead of finishing w a song like hoax abt fears and anxieties like she does in folklore, she ends evermore with “you and me forevermore” vibes

Folklore + Evermore

It feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in. There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives.

black lives matter fandom netflix party!

hi all ive been trying to think of diverse ways i personally can do more and ways i can engage in new conversations with diverse people about black lives matter. i know watching films and shows is one of a million things but ive watched a few good films recently and learned a lot so here’s a schedule for watch parties since yall expressed interest! this is flexible. you can come to 1 or 3 or all of them. if you have recommendations for things to watch, pls tell me! unfortunately you need to have access to netflix, so i know its not the most accessible. im also choosing different times as to include as many ppl as possible, including international fans.

you have to have google chrome and this extension on it. about 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time i will post the link and you can join. during the movie you can make commentary and wtvr and then at the end we’ll stay on for 10-30 minutes talking if we want! here’s the schedule:

jaime, I've been struggling with how taylor hasn't done more than 1-2 posts that don't even offer support to those out protesting right now. seeing how engaged ari and halsey and even kim k have been, have made me just so incredibly disappointed with taylor's bare minimum, especially given how much traction her tweet has gotten. she could have followed it up with a donation link or something? idk. I really wanted better from her. how are you feeling about this?

so here’s the thing. as a white woman, it isn’t really even my place to say or pass judgment on whether or not what taylor has done is sufficient or the bare minimum or good enough or terribly bad. she’s white. there’s always going to be more that she can do, no matter how much she does. that’s part of learning and growing on her part. most of my black mutuals and friends have said that they’re comfortable with what she’s done; others disagree, and that’s fine, because people are allowed to have their own opinions. what they all have said though is that there are way too many white people talking and not enough white people listening. but instead of looking to your white fave for wisdom, or asking me if i think it’s enough, i think it’s way more important to listen to black people and hear what they have to say. so i am gonna post this thread from @morethanreputation that i think is really important and more eloquent than I could ever be to close (she said it’s fine):
