Under the cut is a list of links to the resources you’ll need if you want to further understand the world building for this story. I understand it can be jarring to get used to a whole new fantasy world, so I wanted to make it more digestible and easy for people to have something to reference while reading if they want to. More posts will be added soon that further expand on all the lore I have established in my master doc (I need to format them for tumblr still, and a lot of it contains spoilers for future chapters).
Each link will provide context for when you should read them, and, if they contain spoilers, will give you full warning before hand. Make sure you read the indicator for what chapter you should have read up to by that point if you don’t want anything spoiled. The links will be in chronological order, so it’ll be easy to find which ones you should and shouldn’t read.
And, lastly, thank you so much for reading this story. I’ve been planning this out for months; building worlds, drafting maps, concept sketching characters, and I’m excited to finally have gotten to the point where the first chapter has been published.
Anyways, here are the links:
Playlist - (because I wanted to aha)
Monster Designs - Bats, Wolves, Obitus, Dragons
Map - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Provinces of Hawkins - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Calendar and Moon Cycles - CH1: prologue (honey and blood)
Magic Herbs/Potions - CH 2: glass crown (will be updated as fic progresses, but contains no spoilers)
Finger isn’t broke!! Whoop whoops!! Bad news was one of my hair pores got clogged and developed into a cyst that was pushing on the bone. After a lot of pain and a piping hot needle last night we’re back in business!!
why do I keep breaking the bones in my hands. like what was it, six or seven months ago I broke one of my right hand metacarpal and now I broke a bone in my left pinky finger. is it good I’m right handed so doing menial takes like washing my hair isn’t too hard? hell yeah. does it make typing and using a computer nearly impossible? fuck yeah. have I accidentally sent shooting pain up my hand several times even while being mindful when I’m editing? predictably yes.
also being mindful when crossing the roads lately because with my luck I’m going to end up getting hit by a truck for a second time without being reborn into a fantasy world. I don’t think my whimsy can take another hit.
Also funny how that accident correlates to when I started posting my fanfics—

taking a break from doing the final edit (hopefully chapter will be out soon) to write the Cave Scene™ in chapter 12/13 (depending) and damn.. I wanna post a sneak peak of it so badly lol I can’t believe we’re finally in the arc where smut starts happening hehehe
(Spoilers for future chapters under the cut. Heavily unedited because this scene is still another two (ish) chapters away)
(Chapter 12/13 spoilers)
(cw: use of the word “whore” in regards to sex workers. Also since some context is missing because it’s wayyy too big of a spoiler to include, this might read a little confusing, but Steve isn’t pressuring Kas to sleep with him. Rather it’s a fuck (non penetrative) or die type situation and he’s trying to show Kas that he wants him and that he isn’t just doing this out of some sort of obligation.)
“Your highness,” Kas said in warning.
Predictably—or perhaps unpredictably given the position—Steve ignored him, and Kas was unable to stop his sharp inhale when Steve swept over his lap, trapping him between his thighs. He could feel the muscles of his legs flex around him, the searing heat of his body between their damp clothing, and the rapidly increasing thrum of his pulse. It was all so familiar, and Kas nearly cursed aloud when his mind leapt to the countless nights they'd spent together a lifetime ago, accompanied by the smell of different oils, surrounded by canvas and covered in sweat.
“You can be so fucking confusing,” Steve stated, regarding Kas as he squirmed below him. Initially, Kas debated how to toss Steve off without hurting him, but his plans vanished the second Steve leaned forward to press his hand over his chest, his palm resting over Kas's silent heart. “You find me attractive, don’t you?”
“I’m not blind, your highness,” Kas said evasively.
"You've wanted me for years—like this," Steve continued.
Were Kas still mortal, his cheeks would be flushed red as twin apples. "A mere soldier as no right—"
"When have you ever been a mere soldier?" Steve scoffed playfully. Kas grew still, worried that Steve had realised something, but it dissipated a moment later when Steve shifted in his lap, looking at him in amusement. "Even if you were, I'm sure you knew of my reputation back then. Status didn't dictate who slept in my bedroll, nor has it played a part in any of my trysts. It's no secret what they say about me. Come on, tell me, what have you heard about who I am?"
Kas secretly rolled his eyes. "That you’re a prince who only beds bastards and whores."
"So which are you?" Steve teased.
Kas felt very much like both at the moment.
"You will regret this," Kas objected instead of answering. "You're right—I am no mere soldier, and I am no mere bastard or whore. I am a devil born from death and destruction, a monster the people of the north will one day proclaim as a demon who devours children."
To Kas' surprise, rather than come to his senses, a gentle smile pulled at the corners of Steve's lips, leaving him speechless in the face of such radiance. Then Steve raised his hand higher, migrating from Kas' silent heart upwards towards his throat then jaw, until he could tilt his chin up to meet his brown eyes, glowing golden in the fire light.
"They'd be wrong," Steve said, his smile blinding, his voice so soft it was nearly drowned out by the crackling logs. Yet Kas heard it, those simple words drifting through the cave like a hymn plucked along harp strings. "You are innocent of such crimes."
"But I—"
"I told you I never blamed you for what the lich made you do," Steve continued, his tone still soft as silk. "You are not the monster they so desperately want you to be. Of us all, you're the most human."
"Your highness—"
"Will you answer your future king’s question?" Steve asked seriously, keeping his chin trapped between his fingers. It wouldn't take much to shake him off, but Kas couldn't—not when the warm touch of those hands soothed the ache that had haunted him these long years. It seemed Steve was well aware of just how starved he was for it, and that teasing smile tilted his lips once more. "Do you want me?"
"Yes," Kas confessed, unable to stop his tongue.
"Then whats your issue?" Steve asked, obviously confused. "I'm offering you what you need." Before Kas could formulate a reply, Steve tugged the hem of his linen shirt from his trousers, exposing the plans of his abdomen covered in scars that he'd once mapped, now dotted with a few he hadn't.
The urge to touch was severe, and Kas inhaled sharply, though he regretted it a second later when he realised he could smell it—the heady, intoxicating scent of Steve's growing arousal. It overpowered the confined space, drowning out the smell of fire and stale blood.
While Kas was frozen, Steve fully removed his shirt, exposing himself to the cool night air, basking in the flickering fire light that cascaded along the ridges and planes of his body. It was utterly enchanting, and Kas couldn't stop looking, taking in every detail from the hair decorating his chest to the trail that lead downwards, disappearing past the band of his trousers.
The second his eyes flickered down to the straining fabric over Steve's groin, Kas was a lost cause. Want filled him, a primordial need that had to be quenched, dangling within reach as Steve shifted closer.
It seemed the prince was well aware of it as well.
"Good to know this still works," Steve said with an amused huff, rocking his hips forward against Kas' straining erection. Kas couldn't stop the noise that escaped him when their clothed cocks brushed, and a shudder raced through him from head to toe when Steve let out a low, pleased chuckle. "Has this convince you I'm fine with it yet?"

snippet from the next chapter. A little world building and a little bit of sappy Steve/Kas flirting and Robin already being sick of dealing with it again (lol)
"Well, this is an upgrade," Robin commented, glancing towards Steve then towards the carriage in front of them.
He couldn't deny that. The carriage was simple but well crafted, larger than the ones the nobles in the north used—likely because the two beasts pulling it were stronger than most horses. There were several other similar carriages, and Steve noticed a woman with a brimmed hat lined with tassels standing beside one as she directed her men to load an assortment of goods into a nearby cart. As if feeling his stare, she spared him a glance, her tassels catching in the wind and showing a hint of her foreign face.
While he was distracted, Robin did a survey of the interior and let out a pleased hum. "Smells better than the last one."
Turning towards Robin, Steve rolled his eyes and let out an amused huff. "Does he think I'm not well enough to ride?"
Robin turned to him and raised a challenging brow. "You aren't."
Steve opened his mouth to make a rebuttal, but it died on his tongue when he caught sight of Kas speaking to one of his knights nearby. The memories of last night came back to haunt him, and Steve's face paled before it grew flush, a cocktail of emotions welling within him as he watched Kas nod towards his knight before he turned and saunter towards them.
If Robin noticed, she kept any comments to herself.
Steve still hadn't regained control over his emotions by the time Kas came to a stop before him, shielding him from the sun in his shadow. "I hope it's to your liking," Kas said, nodding towards the carriage.
"Much nicer than our last," Robin agreed when Steve didn't respond.
The comment clearly didn't please him. While Kas' face was concealed beneath his dragon helm, Steve had the distinct feeling he was frowning—no, pouting?—behind the metal, and he could hear the bitterness in his tone when he spoke. "I would hope so." Then his dark visor turned towards Steve. "I also hope you don't try and leap from this one as well."
Steve's cheeks grew more flush. "When did Henderson tell you about that?"
"While you were still bedridden," Kas answered with a dismissive wave before pinning him with his stare once more. "I expect you to ride comfortably without the need for heroics. If wolves attack, allow my knights to handle it."
"Do you expect more attacks?" Robin asked with a worried frown.
"If they smell his highness," Kas answered honestly. "Obi has secured most of the road, but there is always a chance a pack may be sent our way. If the lich has a hand in this latest monster attacks, I'm sure he's monitoring our movements. It's unfortunate we can't have El and Will with us—they spent the better part of their time in Loch Hellfire over the winter. Between the two of them, they were able to map out the city and the surrounding forest to the north."
The small, breathless sound of whimsy that slipped into Kas' voice as he spoke of the city made Steve recall the painting he'd seen on his way to the throne room. The bridges and fish, thriving greenery and tall towers, warm sun and smiling elves. It looked otherworldly, like the realms gods roamed. "What is Loch Hellfire like?" Steve asked, finally finding use of his tongue.
"It's beautiful, even in ruin," Kas explained, the thrill of adventure laced through each word. "It isn't as destroyed as Moonstone's outer city. From what we've learned, the war claimed it swiftly and the army moved north immediately, so much of it remains standing. Though the main bridge was destroyed and most of the towers are tilted after being derelict for so long in a marsh, it's still breathtaking. We've been slowly restoring the city, and El's magic was key in its reconstruction. Most of our mages are there now."
As Kas spoke, Steve couldn't help the excitement pulsing through him, though it grew subtle when his mind drifted to a stray thought he often had. Another loch in the north, built with the same pearly stone walls. Yet the one Kas described…
"I'm excited to see it," Steve eventually admitted.
"I'm excited to show you," Kas answered.
Steve could feel Robin's eyes sweep between the two, and she let out a small huff before shaking her head. "Just make sure you can get us there in one piece, Lieutenant."
I love Stranger Things so much and all the amazing artists and creatives we have in the fandom. I have gone so broke buying just the coolest stuff people make.
It can be hard tracking shops and finding out what exists out there so I put together a discord just for Stranger Things merch, both fan made and official.
It's for promoting shops or items, posting your ISO (In Search Of), selling, or trading, and keeping track of pre-sales.
If you think that sounds interesting give us a look! Link under cut.
On the plus side I got a job!! Thank you to the service industry for always keeping me employed so I don’t have to go into the other job sectors that are saturated with ai and chatgpt bullshit <3
I’ve officially moved towns!! It’s been a wild change going from a city to a tiny town, but it’s been so fun so far. The air is so fresh and the views are beautiful and I can finally see the stars again after ten years!! Only part that sucks is not having a car and living on a literal sea side cliff lol, my calves are screaming at me every time I walk into town. I likely won’t be able to get my computer set up until the weekend, but once it is, I’ll be writing like crazy! I’m planning on working on my original novel (to hopefully finish the first draft and send it off to publishers) and work on finishing the latest updated to MatDWSBS! Thanks for everyone’s continued support and sweet comments during this hectic chapter of my life
The latest chapter of Ret’urcye Mhi has been posted! I wanted to do a little art for this chapter hehe.
The scene this is from is below the cut! If you want to read the whole fic, find it here
"Not yet," Luke stated, dragging his lips over the dip of his neck. While he slowed his strokes once more, barely even rutting against him, he didn't stop entirely, intentionally keeping Din on the precipice. When he realised what Luke was doing, Din's bound hands, trapped between their chests, suddenly grasped at Luke's undershirt. It was clear he was about to try and take charge, just as he usually did once Luke got him worked up enough, but Luke denied him the opportunity—having already expected it.
Before he had the chance to flip them over, Luke cybernetic grasped Din's hip and pinned him to the bed. "Not yet," he repeated with a breathless chuckle. Din let out a small, disgruntled noise, and Luke could feel his frustrated gaze as he leaned up to press their foreheads together, unable to hide his smug smile. "Have more patience."
Din groaned, ever susceptible to his teasing. "Are you going to tell me to meditate next?"
Luke hummed thoughtfully as he stroked his cybernetic hand down Din's thigh, groping at his firm muscles. "Should I?"
"Not unless you want me to take matters into my own hands," Din said with a small huff.
At that, Luke winked playfully. "Up for a challenge?"
Din chuckled, the sound twinged with a touch of arrogance. "Are you?"
Before Luke realised what was happening, he was knocked off balance, leaving him pressed into the soft mattress while Din straddled him, pinning him between his thighs. The position shift left Luke slightly dizzy, and he looked up in surprise as Din dangling the maroon sash in his hand—having removed it without catching Luke's attention.
Below the helmet, Luke was sure that Din's small smile had grown wide enough to show a hint of teeth. "Found your weak point," Din chuckled. "That makes it two to thirty four."
"I demand a rematch," Luke complained.
With a snort, Din shook his head fondly as he pulled his arms from his flight suit, exposing the planes of muscle and veins curving along his arms. "Close your eyes."
Luke sighed in resignation and slipped his eyes shut just as the seal of Din's helmet released. However, it didn't take more than half a second to shed the sting of defeat as he eagerly sat up to meet the kiss that followed. A grin split Luke lips when he felt the smile on Din's own, and soon they were laughing and knocking teeth more than they were kissing. It was playful, sweet, and Luke couldn't get enough of it—of how it made his heart flutter, clearing his mind of all doubt. Just as he had the first time, Luke found that Din's kiss was warm and gentle, something that made his chest ache in the most tender way. There was comfort here, one that allowed for him to laugh in such a carefree way, existing within a reprieve of their own making.
Force, he loved him—they loved each other.
Luke couldn't say it now, not in some hotel casino—not when he was only finally juggling with the idea that he was allowed be loved in such a way, even as who he had become. It was obvious that—for now—Din was allowing him the lead in that regard, knowing from their prior conversations that Luke battled desperately with what attachments meant to him. It would take a long time to coax him back to the understanding he'd come to on the second Death Star, how he really thought whenever he immersed himself in the light for too long.
But that didn't mean he couldn't feel it. The way the galaxy seemed to glow brighter simply by Din's presence within it, how his burdens didn't feel so heavy knowing he saw the good within his actions. It was something so good, so pure. It was everything—it was desert heat and the smell of spices, humid caves and quiet laughter, recycled starship air and the taste of chocolate. It was light.
"You're so good to me," Luke murmured, peppering kisses at the corner of Din's lips. As he did, he could feel the curve of Din's smile and his heart soared. "So good."
After Luke gave him a lingering, chaste kiss as a reward, Din chuckled softly and gently pressed their foreheads together. "I have to make sure you get your money's worth. As your bodyguard."
Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes behind his eyelids. "You're a jealous man."
"I'm a grateful man," Din corrected. Then he shrugged, smiling a little wider when Luke blindly kissed him once more. "And maybe a little jealous."
I’ve been reading a lot of Starwars fics lately mainly around din/Luke ship. I like seeing how people do different takes on the way history could have been. Especially the fic Ret'urcye mhi it focuses on a Sith version of Luke. So I decided to draw a the authors take on him. ❤️❤️❤️
I hope you like it!! https://archiveofourown.org/works/50011105/chapters/126274453
