i’ve been thinking about   rebooting   my portrayal of padmé by archiving this blog and starting   FRESH,    in a sense, so that it takes a bit of pressure off of me because having almost   TWO THOUSAND   followers accumulated over the course of the past two years is enough to drive my anxiety   up   just thinking about it.  i’d also consider limiting my interactions to characters from the prequel & original trilogies because   a) i’ve never really been able to fit padmé into the sequel trilogy the way i would have wished  &&  b) even tho i adored tfa, tlj was a load of nonsense and just   thinking   about it makes me dislike star wars, which is not something i want to do

It's tiring to see people hating on a female character in order to defend another female character, especially when those people are men. There aren't many female characters in fantasy/sci-fi movies and Padmé is very inspiring (she is clever & kind, she can fight but believes in peace and democracy, she is independent but also loves her husband, she wears pretty dresses) and it's always bothering to see people hating on her because she fell in love and cry, just like most human beings on Earth.

I know exactly like you feel.It’s like fighting an uphill battle.

When willpeople understand that “strongfemale character” actually means “well written female character”?

Thatputting a woman down to make another look better is not feminism? 

When willpeople understand that it’s NOT a competition?
