but simon running around the institute with his phone, recording all of his friends and yelling, “THE FLOOR IS LAVA!” and laughing at their reactions. jace jumps onto a nearby table, scattering papers everywhere and startling clave members. luke finds a nearby pillar and clings onto it with his arms and legs, simon’s giggles joyful and amused in the background. isabelle looks around wildly for a surface to take cover but runs out of time and simon chuckles as she chases him around the institute for laughing at her. clary just lies flat on the floor, which isn’t very helpful(“CLARY YOUR WHOLE BODY AND FACE ARE GETTING BURNED THE FLOOR IS LAVA NOT THE CEILING!”). alec just stands there and deadpans, “what” as simon yells “HURRY, ALEC! YOU HAVE FIVE MORE SECONDS!!!!!! BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!!” magnus gracefully jumps onto alec and snuggles into him, making alec less wary about the whole “the floor is lava” game.
