even though eli does have to do a lot of fairly boring or irritating chores to prove himself to the diablos, that doesn’t seem to do make him any less happy or excited to be around them. whenever he’d going on a ride with the rest of the club, he’s unable to stop smiling the whole time, and the first time he was invited to come out drinking with some of the others he couldn’t stop grinning for the rest of the day until he passed out later that night when he got home. the diablos have been his most consistent source of joy since he first moved to texas, no matter whatever negative come with being a prospect.

8. are they close to their family?

in terms of his biological family, he used to be - but he hasn’t seen or spoken to his mother or any of his extended family since he was nine, and same deal for his father since he was eighteen. he considers the diablos his family now - and though the exact level of closeness varies with each member, he’d say he is close to them, yeah.

16. what would their hogwarts house be?

hufflepuff. no question.

are they a morning person or night person?

he used to be a morning person, but as he’s gotten older he’s definitely shifted towards being more owl than lark. maybe it’s because he has to do stuff for the diablos later in the day, maybe it’s just age - who’s to say.

😞 finding an orphaned child, would your muse opt to take them in, find someone more qualified, or just leave them?

100% take them in! he’d definitely not be qualified or even old enough, really, but if he found someone that vulnerable who needed help he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he just palmed them off or find someone else. he’d definitely seek help from the diablos, but he’d be sure enough of himself to feel like he’d be up to taking care of them alright enough - he might not know exactly what to do at this point in time, but it’s not like waiting longer would just grant him proper parenting knowledge, and that wouldn’t even be an option. take them in.

✨ how important is family to your muse?

the idea of family’s always been first and foremost priority to elijah, alongside his friends - but his actual biological family hasn’t been. while he does still miss the cousins he had to cut contact with when his father moved them down to texas, it took him apparently no time at all to be alright with leaving his parents behind a decade apart from one another - but they don’t count as his family anymore. the diablos are his family now - and they’re all that matter. he’d do anything for them.

15. what is their vice? (wrath, greed, pride, lust, gluttony, sloth, envy)

pride. although he does full well know that he’s far from the best rider, far from the best fighter, etc - he’s had high enough belief in himself that he’ll be able to basically just get away with doing whatever he wants, talk to whoever, go wherever, and be perfectly fine, no repercussions. it definitely gets in the way of him making reasonable decisions.

28. do they have any distinctive features or marks?

oh his hair, definitely. the green does certainly make him stand out in a crowd, and even if it can be a giveaway as to who he is and thus his club if someone like a reaper’s seen him with them, he likes it - he got some friends to help him do it the night he moved into his new rental and, sure, it turned the bathroom into a mess, but it was one of the best nights of his life, even if he did end up having to go to big sal’s later that week to get it done properly.

eli’s not good at hiding when he’s happy or excited - he smiles like an idiot, doesn’t shut up, and when he does have to try and be subtle his eyes will still be shining and he’ll be doing all he can to avoid making eye contact which’ll immediately make him smile again.

do they have allergies?

as far as he’s aware, no - but he is actually allergic to anaesthetic. as of yet he hasn’t been in a situation where finding this out would be possible, but it’s still there and a potential danger if he ever does land himself in an operating theatre.

🍳 what kind of family gatherings does your muse prefer and why?

back when he still lived in seattle, the one occasion that the whole of his mother’s family would gather for was his grandmother’s birthday - they’d all go and pack into her tiny house, all his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and just spend a full day together. it was the only chance he got to see them all at once, and a few days after it’d happen he’d just start counting down to the next one - but that didn’t carry on into moving to texas. his father was estranged from his own family, so when they moved down, there wasn’t really much family to gather with, and most holidays were just skipped over. the closest thing he does have now to a family gathering is just meetings with the diablos - but really, that’s good enough for him. so long as the whole family's there, he's happy.

although he always seems to be happy when he’s just spending time around the rest of the diablos (because he is) some of the best times in his life has actually been spent with people outside of the club, or maybe just one or two of them away from their bikes - nights spent in his tiny rental, going through his old dvds or listening to music on the old silver cd player he’s had since he lived in seattle, just being able to sit back and have fun without risk of crashing or getting a punch to the face? that’s definitely when he’s at his happiest.

having spent the past odd minute or so looking over posters stuck up on the window of the hairdressers, one hand absentmindedly tugging at a strand of green hair, eli was suddenly brought back to attention when daisy began talking. turning back around and quickly taking up a spot sitting next to her, he reached out a hand to stroke momo’s back as the cat streaked off down the street, watching him leave with a small smile before turning his head back towards her, unable to stop himself from laughing. “oh, that’s a tragedy - you need to get one of those like, reality show camera crews, they’re always filming, aren’t they? a video’s much better than a photo. it’s what momo deserves.” he turned again, looking back up towards the window. “do you think i need to get this redone?” he asked, tugging at the green again, then added, “how do you think momo would look in green?”

“oh, come on - it says i’m 21, what else do you want me to show you? look, my friends, they’re inside, if you let me in and show you they can tell you -“ just by the look on the bouncer’s face (even if they didn’t really emote all that much) eli could tell that he wasn’t getting anywhere with his pleading. usually, on nights like this when he’d be invited to accompany some of the other diablos to some bar or club in town, he’d be able to enter with the rest of them and not have to worry about a thing - but he’d promised he’d be fine getting in on his own if he came a bit late like he had, the bouncers would recognise him, except he hadn’t prepared for there being someone new at the door. and it wasn’t even as if he could play the diablo card to get in, either - he had brought his license to get in (an altered one for his age, sure, but a bike license nonetheless) but, having come on foot, not his bike, and so now, here he was; stuck outside, alone, in the texan-version-of-cold, probably looking to the others like he’d bailed. he was getting to the point where he was half-considering calling one of the other members for help, something he’d sworn to himself he’d never do, he couldn’t look that helpless in front of them - but it was just at that moment when he spotted someone coming up to the door behind him. hit with an apparently sudden jolt of energy, he gave them a quick glance - “you can vouch for me, can’t you?” he asked, giving them a half-hopeful, half-pleading look before turning back to the bouncer with a small smile.
