Iâm a big fan of these sorts of writing exercises for muses in the RP community but I can never find one right for me. So, I wrote one. This may not be right for everyone and certainly isnât better or worse than any existing ones, just different. Below a cut for length. You donât need to like or reblog to use but personally I would link or something not for me but for your fellow RPers who may also wish to use this format.
Each day has a word or phrase etc. and you are meant to write about your muse in that context however you are most comfortable. Each section includes additional suggestions to help get going but theyâre all intended as âfree writeâ subjects so donât feel bound by my suggestions. Itâs been brought to my attention my memes lack trigger tags, something Iâm used to minding on my RP blogs but slipped my mind here. As those are the first triggering memes Iâve really posted, however Iâve fixed those and will be trying to do so for all future memes.
All potentially triggering subjects will be tagged â#tw subjectâ.
If I miss something personally triggering to you feel free to KINDLY prod me and I will be happy to add it and tag it in the future.

PS UPDATE: I will keep a list of what iâm actively tagging on this blog as it comes up, if something you need tagged isnât on here feel free to let me know and I will add it for the future. Working list HERE.
How about a kidnapping meme? Situations to put a muse in
Posted!
Based on your request wording I got more of a âlist of RP ideasâ so I went with that, if that was wrong feel free to send another request with what you want specifically and Iâll be happy to to do that too.
Disclaimer: I donât endorse or support behaviors seen in this idea set, this is again for the sake of expanding writing scenarios and helping others find the threads they want. You shouldnât hurt others, period, and also this is all wicked illegal and bad just saying.
These can also be used as drabble bases, just take out one of the muses and make them an NPC!
Crazy in Love
Muse A and Muse B have been friends since they were very young and have been there for each other since they were kids. Muse B has been in love this whole time but, hasnât been able to confess their feelings, Muse A tells them they're getting married and Muse B cannot emotionally handle it. After knocking Muse A out in their home Muse B takes them to a childhood âsecret baseâ that only the two of them new about keeping them there until they see the âlightâ of who they should be in love with.
The Ransom
Muse A is a professional kidnapper and Muse B a target with an exceptionally wealthy family, lover, spouse, friend, or other such well known person. Muse A takes them and keeps them for ransom informing their wealthy loved one that for every day they donât turn over almost all of their wealth Muse A will do something horrible to Muse B. (How horrible you want to get depends on writer comfort levels and desires for the thread.)
Who are you?
Muse A is a celebrity of some sort, what kind is up to the authorâs choosing, they find themselves in a smaller town than usual just trying to avoid notice and relax. Muse B is an obsessive fan who recognizes them and is convinced the two share some sort of relationship (romantic, platonic, etc. doesnât matter) when they have never met. In a rage Muse B follows Muse A until they seize an opportunity to incapacitate them and drag them home to âremindâ them of the special bond the two share.
Suffering Addict
Muse A is a psychopath, period. Muse B is a victim whoâs in the wrong place at the long time and finds themselves dragged off to a remote and unknown location. No matter how many times Muse B asks Muse A what it will take to let them go they refuse, continuing hellish tortures, having only kidnapped Muse B out of their own desire to watch someone suffer.
Paid Services
Muse A is seeking more excitement in their life and has found through less than legal means a paid personal abduction. After agreeing to varying terms unbeknownst to Muse A the day for their abduction has come. Muse B is the one being paid and hired to execute this abduction on request.
Past the Border
Muse A works for/with a ring of human traffickers (what the traffic is for, labor etc. up to writers involved) and has pegged Muse B for an easy mark. After being drugged and misled by Muse A, Muse B wakes up in an unfamiliar country in chains unsure what will happen next.
Could you do a homeless sentence starter please? Itâs ok if you donât.
Posted!
I hope you liked them I tried to hit a variety of perspectives from both sides of the struggle, both outsiders looking in and those fighting with the struggle itself.
If this wasnât what you were hoping for feel free to send a more specific request.
Note: Some quotes will be harsher and do NOT reflect my opinion nor the opinion of people who use this post on the struggles those who are homeless face. However, I wanted to include a variety of starting points in this meme to include a greater variety of character types and scenarios.
âItâs the middle of the night, what are you doing out in the streets?â
âHow do you get a fire to burn in that?â
âThey told me they saw you begging, whatâs wrong?â
âI always thought you had a place to stay.â
âYouâre not living out here, I want you to come home with me until you get on your feet.â
âBut, you have a job...â
âGet out of my way, I donât want to see trash on the side of the street.â
âYou look way too healthy to be homeless.â
âWhat can I do to help, I donât want you to suffer with this alone.â
âIsnât it cold out this time of year?â
âIâd rather walk home by myself, thanks anyways.â
âI donât live here I just...like it.â
âYou donât understand what itâs like to live like this, leave me alone.â
âI donât have a choice, I canât afford food and an apartment.â
âMy parents threw me out, they couldnât accept who I was, what else can I do?â
âMy boss doesnât pay me a living wage, so I do what I have to.â
âThe underpass keeps the rain off, donât worry.â
âYou canât just act like youâre better than me, like Iâm not even a person because of this, that's so fucked up!â
âAt least I get to see all the stars every night...â
âThis is the hardest thing Iâve ever had to do, but, if I look for help people accuse me of looking for a handout. What do you want from me?!â
How about a meme that focuses on character development? Like it could be a question meme or putting muses in situations where they are sort of forced to confront issues they've been avoiding.
Iâll have to think about EXACT execution but Iâll put it on the docket for sure!
