Ooh what’s your au about?

Tl;DR: Artist!Lovino, Soldier!Gilbert, magical realism with a whole lot more plot than is healthy. Angst with eventual happy ending. Mostly Prumano, background PRUK and Spamano if you squint.

The elevator pitch for part 1 is as follows:

A Side: Lovino’s down on his luck as an artist, hoping he can pull things together in time for his first and hopefully breakthrough exhibition to launch his career. This is complicated by his relationship with his childhood best friend slash agent Antonio, his whole clusterfuck of an extended family and his grandfather’s recent passing. Lovino could use a little extra luck to get him through it, and if he ends up wishing on a shooting star during a passing meteor shower… Well, you know what they say. Be careful what you wish for, because it just might come true.

B Side: Gilbert’s one wish short of the hundred he needs to finally be done with this whole wish granting bullshit, and he’s not going to let Lovino Vargas get in his way. Unfortunately, karma’s a bitch and he’s pulling Lovino’s weight. He has one year to the day to change Lovino’s life for the better, and not one second more, but Gilbert’s not worried at all. Every artist needs their muse, and if Gilbert ends up stealing Lovino’s heart in the process? That’s just a coincidence. Gilbert may be too good to be true, but Vargas should know better than to fall for what he sees at first sight.
