why am i so easily affected by others

imagine knowing in your heart that a situation is not going to work and still being upset that someone isn't happy with your decision. I have to keep reminding myself that my opinion is what matters at the end of the day. I'mmmm the one who has to live with those decisions. not anyone else. they aren't in my head to know every single reason that I feel the way I feel. therefore nothing else matters.
