AT LAST! Something Like Summer makes its New York City premiere Sunday, October 22, at 1 p.m. as part of the NewFest film festival, at the Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas in Chelsea. Tentatively scheduled to appear at the festival are screenwriter Carlos Pedraza and actor Ben Baur (Jace).

Also Released: Updated, Second Edition of the Original Novel Author Jay Bell AUTHOR JAY BELL is releasing new editions of his novel, "Something Like Summer," on which the film is based, hoping to extend the story's reach to students, and to improve the first edition. "I really want to get 'Something Like Summer' into schools and into the hands of young people, but the explicit content has always made that difficult," Bell said.
CLOSING FEATURE Something Like Summer closes out Winston-Salem, N.C.'s 13th annual Out at the Movies International LGBT Film Festival on Sunday, October 8 at 7 p.m. at the a/perture cinema. Slated to be on hand for the screening are: Stars Grant Davis (Ben) and Davi Santos (Tim) Writer and producer Carlos Pedraza.
SUMMER COMES to the desert at the 10th edition of Cinema Diverse, the Palm Springs LGBT Film Festival, with two screenings September 22 and 29. "Cinema Diverse has screened every one of our feature films, so we're thrilled to return," writer-producer Carlos Pedraza said.
