Liz smiled. “Oh wow! You can buy big candy with that much money.” She nodded as she listened to him. “I bet you have a lot of money. Candy and food are fun things to buy;but not too much, you might get sick.” Liz thought the little boy only meant the two dollars he had, being that little kids always thought that small money is a lot of money. She looked around, “hmm…I think the candy is on the next aisle. Want me to take you there?”

"Nuh-uh! I won't get sick. I only get sick if I eat worms cause food is good for you!" He nodded his head and thought about her offer. If she led him to the candy, he wouldn't be lost anymore. But that meant following a stranger, and he was told to never walk away with strange people.

"Uhm...you're a stranger...you're not gonna take me away right? Teacher says if you go somewhere with a stranger, that's bad and they'll take you away." He narrowed his eyes at her, growing suspicious now.

Liz stared down at the two bags of chips she had. The blond couldn’t decide to get barbecue flavored or sour and cream flavored chips. She has been wanting some sour and cream chips but barbecue sure sounds tasty. About to get a conclusion, she was disturbed by a poke. She looked around until she saw who poked her. A young little boy with big scarlet eyes stared up at her. She almost couldn’t contain herself as she stared at him, he was utterly adorable. “Y-yes?” She was able to respond after a while.

He stared at her for a while longer, then cocked his head. "Do you know where the candy bars are? I'm hungry, and I got $2!" He held up two of his fingers so she knew exactly how much money he had. He would never be allowed to eat candy for breakfast if his brother or parents were around, so this was an opportunity to break the rules.

Taking his hood down, he scratched his head and smiled. "'Cause I got alotta money, I'mma buy lots of candy and food! I'm rich, ya know."

Soul zipped up his hoodie as he walked out of his house. Putting up his hood, he looked left then right and sped walked away. He didn't like being home, so he thought it would be a good idea to leave the house for a while. Not like anyone would notice for a while, and by that time he'd be long gone.

Having no real place to go, Soul walked over to the first open store he saw: the supermarket. It was 8:30 in the morning, and he had $2 in his pocket. "Mmm...I'mma buy a candy bar..." Speaking to himself, he wandered up and down the aisles, a bit lost. All the adults around him looked old and like his grandmother, and he didn't want to speak to any old people. He wondered around until he saw someone who didn't like quite as old as everyone else did. "Hey...hey lady?" He poked her leg and stared up at her, eyes wide.
