I never got round to finishing/posting that betsy theory list (whoops!!)

but now there’s some info hinted through the RTÉ spoilers, I’m very intrigued...

(corrie spoilers regarding betsy’s new storyline under the cut!)

there must be more to the story; house fires are hardly a new storyline in soaps (corrie alone has had multiple in the last couple of years) 🤔 nor is it what I would categorise as a coming-of-age narrative 🤔

my guess, as it stands, is that betsy actually experiences a medical event prior to/during the fire. anaphylaxis brought on by an unfamiliar ingredient? a collapse? a seizure?

what’s puzzling me is that there’s the suggestion of blame—with lisa having dylan arrested (on what charges, I wonder?!), and dylan thinking that brody should be questioned instead...

(just for reference: my original theories were a stroke, with a focus on young stroke survivors, or a shock accident whilst doing some sort of outdoor activity, like exploring derelict buildings or wild swimming)

(spoilers for today’s emmers episode under the cut...yeah, I am calling it that to avoid complaining in the soap tags 😭)

so now the dales soap is killing off an abuser. after killing off a different abuser months prior, and having a whodunnit which has only somewhat recently been resolved. and now there will presumably be another whodunnit. this is all whilst the street soap has recently...killed off an abuser...and had a whodunnit...after killing off a separate abuser and having a whodunnit back in late-2024. I am so tired of this 🫠

my gramp completed his cancer treatment yesterday and rang the bell 🎉 my mum miraculously passed her kidney stone a few days ago that she was due to have surgically removed this morning; the scan today confirmed she no longer needs the surgery and is being discharged as I write this 🎉
