This is a very important thing to understand, and I just wanna add on some extra;
A lot of (if not all of) "purity culture" is downwind of fascism really. Any creation of an "other" justifies the existence of "othering".
Always remember that kink and queerness fought alongside each other at Stonewall; where there was queer revolutionaries fighting cops and attempts to suppress their lives and existences, there were kinksters and fetishists standing in solidarity and fighting with them. We owe our rights and lives to these people.
It astounds me that people can recognize kayfabe, that people can understand actors, and not provide the same amount of understanding towards kink and fetishes; Attempts to persecute people for being into certain kinks creates the "ontologically evil human" which Fascists salivate over creating.
For as long as queer people have existed, for as long as MINORITIES IN GENERAL HAVE EXISTED, oppressors have always pointed towards accusations of "degeneracy" to push social murder. Calling someone a pedophile for being into diapers is idiotic, and harmful. This effect is multiplied tenfold if that person is a trans woman, and a hundred fold if they are a black trans woman.
In conclusion, disgust is fundamentally a function and limb of global fascism; by punishing deviance and pushing compliance through facades of "protect the children" (the bills which state their goal is to do this only harms queer and sexual expression, while doing nothing to actually deal with actual predation; every censorship bill from Chat Control, to EARN IT, to KOSA, any bill pushed from groups like Collective Shout, the recent rulings in the UK which ban incest porn, they are all attempts to advance a surveillance state and fascist status quo which suppresses queer people and sexuality, feeding it as "oh, we need to protect kids/women/etc.!") and other self-serving causes, it furthers the goals of fascism to create the "ontologically evil human", who deserves all bad that they receive, and who attacking is not only morally sound, but encouraged.
At the end of the day, you can choose not to listen to any of this. You can write it off. Just don't start crying when the gavel you built to kill us comes back to kill you, because you were always the final target of it. We were just the easiest to deal with. Respectability is death.
