my guess with ragatha’s torture scene was that her mother burned all/most of the bridges in her family where ragatha was the only one willingly to stay (/too emotionally attached to leave) and maybe even be her caretaker?

i’d imagine she took on the brunt of the abuse if that’s the case, it would suck if she had siblings, and seeing them have more courage to leave. i wonder if she would have a complex thinking she needs to be the punching bag, just to lessen the pain for everyone else

but I’m also curious since what little she said abt her family life it would seem that her family would have some sort of picture or reputation to uphold - if her mother was horrible to everyone else in the family, some things would be said about her, no?
