Blockages Spread: What’s Blocking Me?
A lot of us have been feeling a little stuck lately, so I thought I’d share a simple, quick spread that I like to use when trying to figure out what blockages I’m facing and how I should best move forward.
Please feel free to use this as a jumping off point to creating your own spreads! Add cards, change questions or positions, etc. until your spread feels right to you.

Self-Love Potion
This is a recipe for a potion that you can actually consume! Everything in this recipe is 100% edible (barring allergies) and even fairly good for you. I’m going to post the recipe first and add the correspondence explanations and personal notes at the end.

*Ingredients*
Apple Juice - 2 cups Cinnamon - 2 sticks or 2 tsp ground Clove - 5 whole or ¼ tsp ground Allspice - 4 whole or ¼ tsp ground Cardamom - 2 pods or ½ tsp ground Maple Syrup - 1 Tbs, more to taste
Optional Ginger - 1 tsp ground
*Directions* In a small saucepan add juice and spices. Bring to a simmer, do not boil. Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring occasionally Strain spices Stir in Maple Syrup while still hot. Allow to cool for a few minutes before drinking. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
*The Witchy Bits* While you are stirring, repeat the following: I am kind I am compassionate I a beautiful I am strong I am worthy of love I am enough
Imagine all of the love you’ve ever felt in your life. Think about pushing all of that love and joy into your potion as it simmers and then cools. While you are drinking your potion, imagine that all of the love you pushed into your potion infusing itself back into your body.
*Correspondences* Apple - Love and beauty Cinnamon - Love and happiness Clove - Good luck, strong friendships, and to assuage gossip (in this case used to prohibit negative self-talk) Allspice - Energy and determination Cardamom - Relax the body, purify the mind Maple Syrup - Heals the psyche Ginger - Energy, also tends to get magic working faster
*Personal Notes* I personally prefer to use whole spices when I can but that is a 100% personal preference. It really makes no difference one way or the other, magically speaking. I do find that whole, fresh spices tend to impart a stronger flavor but you can always simmer the ground herbs for a bit longer if you like.
I suggest that if you do use ground spices you make them into a sachet to make straining easier. Put all of your spices into a coffee filter and use some kitchen twine (or whatever string you have available, I’ve used regular sewing thread in a pinch and it was fine) and tie it closed. Then just put it onto the pot, like a teabag.
This recipe can be enjoyed both hot and cold. If you do refrigerate it, it may separate and the spices may sink to the bottom. Just give it a stir and it will be just fine. You can even use the second stir to repeat your affirmations and add some extra oomph.
For my followers who are of legal drinking age, I suggest adding in a shot of Fireball Whiskey. Either in place of or in addition to the cinnamon already in the recipe. You still get the same properties from the spice and whiskey is used to promote changes. If you are trying to see yourself in a more positive light and banish negative self-talk it may be a good push in the right direction.

this potion is great for invoking self love, healing, and calming; it allows you to become more patient and gentle with yourself, encouraging an environment of forgiveness and an inner sense of comfort.
you can pour some in a bath or use culinary grade ingredients and keep refrigerated to drink as a potion, you could keep a bottle by your nightstand, or gift a bottle to a friend/partner, and this would serve as a wonderful alter decor/offering for aphrodite or even fae, there’s plenty of ways to incorporate the potion into your craft!

- honey

- pinch of sea or pink salt [optional**]

*for this potion pink or red rose petals would work best but i suppose you could use any! white is also a good option here
**if you don’t have sea/pink salt don’t worry about substituting it’s better to just leave it out at that point, its not for the salts protective qualities but for the calming & healing effect sea/pink salts have!
[ now what? ]
this one is super simple to put together, all you’ve gotta do is get everything in a pot and simmer it on crazy low heat (barely any action just enough to coerce the infusion together)
strain and bottle up! you alternately could brew it in a bottle on a windowsill perhaps but don’t leave it there too long it’ll go rancid! be careful!

💝 i did another self love /anxiety cleansing bath ritual last night 💝 i used ✨ lavender flower, dried rose petals, sea salt, pink sea salt, coconut oil, dried sage, clementine slices, almond milk, a few drops of lavender oil, a few drops of pink grape fruit oil and a cherry blossom bath bomb - i also lit pink and purple candles around the tub, put rose quartz, amethyst and quartz around the tub and lit a lavender incense 💖 “allow me to fill this tub up with love, let me soak up all that love”
💕 Little Everyday Aphrodite Spells 💕
Here are a compilation of Aphrodite spells that you can practice almost everyday. I personally find myself doing most of these things out of habit.

Ａｐｈｒｏｄｉｔｅ＇ｓ ｂａｌｍ
This spell is one you make once, and then can use it everyday. Apply it every morning on your wrist, neck, behind your ears, elbows, etc.
Ingredients
💕 1 ½ teaspoons beeswax beads
💕1/4 cup sweet almond oil
💕1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
💕2 drops vanilla oil
💕1 drop rose oil
💕2 drops jasmine oil
💕Almond oil
💕Sweet orange oil
💕Amber oil
💕A small jar/container to store the balm in
Directions
Melt the bees wax and sweet almond oil in a clean container/can in a sauce pan of water (Half full). Put the heat on medium and let the water melt the oils and wax. Remove the melted ingredients from the heat and with oven mitts remove the container. Now is the time to add in your essential oils and vitamin E oil. Stir in with a popsicle stick. Let the mixture cool slightly, but not enough to harden completely. Now stir again and add to your jar/container and then let harden completely.
Now you can enchant this object and I highly suggest calling upon Aphrodite to bless your creation, although this is completely optional.
When you want to use it, warm the product with your fingertips and scoop enough to apply as you would a solid perfume.
Ｉｍｍａｃｕｌａｔｅ Ｂｅａｕｔｙ Ｓｐｅｌｌ
- An edible spell that makes you feel like a god/goddess
This one you can make in the morning and night, and always puts me in a good mood.
Ingredients
💕Hot chocolate mix of choice - Self-love, Nurturing, Love, Balance
💕Dark/bittersweet chocolate - Love, Romance
💕Almond milk or any milk of choice
💕Vanilla - Attraction
💕Cinnamon - Power, lust, success
Directions
Heat up milk, then add your hot chocolate mix. Melt your real chocolate, and add vanilla and cinnamon. Let it sit on the heat for a couple more minutes. Pour into a favored mug, or one that is enchanted. Top with anything you’d like.
Ｓｐｅｌｌ ｏｆ Ｓｗｅｅｔ Ｓｐｅｅｃｈ
- A spell to sweeten your voice and words
This is a spell I do every morning when I start my skincare and makeup ritual. I learned it when I first started the craft.
Ingredients
💕Honey (Or agave nectar)
💕A spoonful of sugar
Directions
Take your ingredients, enough to coat your lips, and mix them together. Then using your thumb (this represents will power and will boost the spell) smooth the mixture over your lips. Envision what this spell will do for you, and think of your intent in your mind.
Other little things:
Enchanting all your skincare/beauty products
Burning pink and white candles every morning
Taking your time to pamper yourself (Proper hygiene, baths, skincare)
Doing the things you love ❤️

Heal Your Heart Potion
A tea spell for getting past emotional pain/exhaustion and bringing in comfort and self love -💌
Collect: a mug, vanilla black tea (or black tea and vanilla extract), cinnamon, milk (or milk substitute), honey, rose quartz and/or amethyst
Take your mug and put in your tea bag with a sprinkle of cinnamon (and vanilla extract if you’re using that)
Fill up the mug with milk and heat it to your desired temperature
Take a heaping spoonful of honey and stir it in, clockwise to bring comforting/empowering energy and counterclockwise to banish negativity and emotional pain
Charge your tea with the rose quartz and/or amethyst
Sit down with your tea
Put your hands around the mug and feel the warmth and comfort
As you’re drinking the tea slowly, imagine it healing you from the inside out; targeting your emotions, your mind and your heart, and then radiating that energy to the outside
Self Love Bath 🛁 💖
🥛 1 1/2 cup milk
🍯 Honey
🌼 Calendula
🌱 Lavender
🌼 Chamomile
🌹 Rose Petals
🚰 Flower oils: lavender, calendula, chamomile carried in jojoba oil
✨Other nice touches include herbal tea (I chose an iced peach/chamomile) and rose quartz and some candles
🥣 Mix your ingredients first in a bowl in whatever order feels right for you, meditating on feelings of love, acceptance, nourishment, and deep relaxation. Bring your ingredient bowl and tea to the bath.
✨Start your music, once you’ve begun to really feel the music light your candle. Say aloud some kind things about yourself, ie “I am exuberant, I radiate light, I am at peace in my body” before pouring in your milk mixture.
💖Soak in the bath until you feel your love, and remark at how soft your skin feels now.
❄Ice witch milk bath❄
The perfect bath for any ice witch, or anyone who likes the cold❄
Ingredients:
❄ice (optional)
❄dried milk
❄lavender buds
❄mint leaves
❄dried blackberries/blackberry leaves
❄lavender, pine, fir, eucalyptus essential oils
🌼Faery Milk Bath🌹
This bath is perfect for anyone trying to communicate with fae folk or trying to feel like one. It’s smells floral and fresh and will leave your skin feeling soft and smelling like a garden. It will also attract faery folk and help you communicate with them. Scoop a few tablespoons into a warm bath, or use ¼ cup for a stronger one.
Ingredients:
🌸Powdered milk
🌿Lavender buds
🍃Thyme
🌹Rose buds and petals
🌼White tea
🌸An essential oil blend of lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot, geranium, and lemon
*This bath pairs nicely with rose quartz, amethyst, or tigers eye.

“I Send You Safety” Spell
A spell to send a friend or loved one protection and safety.
You Will Need:
❀ Salt ❀ Rosemary ❀ Angelica ❀ Dandelion Fluff ❀ Blue Lace Agate, Carnelian, or Garnet ❀ Name of your friend on a slip of paper ❀ White Sachet
Steps:
❀ Fill your sachet with the herbs, friend’s name and piece of crystal of your choice
❀ “I send you protection from all that may harm you, I send you the wish of safety, I send you the energies to keep you out of harms way.”
❀ Tie your sachet shut and gently kiss it it focusing on your desires to send your friend protection
❀ place your sachet in a window, if you can crack the window open to help send the energies to your friend.
