Mike comes out and says he’s dating Will and Ted’s only concern is whether or not this means Will’s family is moving back in. Once it’s confirmed they’re not he loses interest until it’s time for Mike to choose a major for college, when he almost gets Mike to not do writing by playing the “well artists don’t make much, how are you going to support Will?” card

I genuinely believe Ted wouldn't give it a second glance. He probably already assumed when Mike became a huge nerd and played dungeon and dragons and had a weird relationship with his best friend and gf. He never took action against mike being needy and playing DnD ect so he wouldn't do anything more than his normal general insensitive comments.

He sits mike down to have a talk with him and Mike's terrified, shaking and prepared to defend himself, defend Will but Ted doesn't kick him out, doesn't yell or spew slurs or beg him to reconsider. He's upset, sure, but at the fact mike doesn't have a solid future plan "what have I told you Micheal? How are you to commit to Will when you can't even commit to a career? It's important you're able to provide for the people you love, son!" Mike never thought getting berated about his future could feel so relieving.

I love alternate takes on Ted's personality. I never understood where the idea that he'd be homophobic came from. He'd only be upset because he's shell shocked from when the Byers stayed with them, and he realizes that's what Christmas will be like every year.

Trying to find an old tumblr post I used to see a lot.

It started with someone listing "places with uncanny energy," like gas stations on a road trip, empty movie theaters, etc.

Then someone reblogged it and said those are called "liminal spaces," defining liminal as in-between, neither one thing nor another.

It was the first time I'd seen the term "liminal" applied to places like that, and it's driving me crazy, I want to find and put a date on it so bad.
