Lili:
“I’m not panicking!” Lili crossed her arms. “Yeah, okay, that’s a good idea…uhhhmmm…I could maybe try asking some plants where we’re at?” The trees themselves might be able to tell them which direction to go. Unless they were jerks. Some trees could be super rude.
“Y’know, I keep forgetting you can talk to plants.” It’s not exactly a common skill either, though, so you can’t blame him for forgetting. If the trees were willing to help, that’d be a good time-saver. “If you plan to ask the trees, I think it’d be a better idea to ask before I go and climb ‘em.”
“Yeah, alright.” Lili stared at the sky for a moment, trying to decide which tree was the tallest one near them. Once she picked one, she got up and moved over to it. Lili placed a hand against the bark of the tree and closed her eyes in concentration. “Hey, sorry for bothering you. We’re kinda lost and we wanted to know if you could see a camp anywhere around here?”
For Raz, there would be a long pause of silence as Lili stood there with her hand on a tree. Nothing was obviously happening, until Lili opened her eyes again. “Alright, thank you! They said there’s smoke coming from that direction,” Lili pointed into the woods. “So that’s probably a good place to start.” Hey, what do you know, talking to plants comes in handy sometimes.
