We meet again @ Teddy & Naj
âIt hasnât exactly been an easy few months for me.â Teddy admitted with reluctance in a tone that almost felt raspy. It was low too, so that it may be more difficult to be heard by anyone watching them, but his annoyance was still obvious. As was the pointed look he gave the demon when he felt those fingers touch him. â..and before you ask âno, itâs got nothing to do with it.â His PTSD, of course. Somehow, the vampire still felt embarassed about that one little incident.
Protesting with a soft hiss when the bottle was stolen from his fingers, Teddy moved his hand to the glass and rose it to his nostrils.. âCheap.â He had not missed the hint, though, and he caved shortly after his assessment, pursing his lips first. âIâm listening. What is it thatâs got your eye this time?â

Najelon liked this side of his valuable partner in crime, the irritated looks and little hisses. The Incubus had a passion for the chase, as much as any other predator high in the food chain. Surely, just the same Teddy felt when he hunted for blood, Najelonâs stare sharpened as he set a side goal to regain the Vampireâs affections once more.Â
âTrust me, it hasnât been easy for any of us.â Â More than challenging, he said it with the closest thing to sympathy he was able to muster. The Demon had been where his friend was now, suffering from past events too painful to forget in a single lifetime.
He softly laughed at the retort, sipping again from the, indeed, cheap whiskey. âThat would be my fault. The owner here despises me, so she serves me shit in an attempt to make me leave.â Shaking his head, his eyes moved from Teddy, listening intently to him, to busy Hayden behind the counter. âHer.â Naj nodded in her direction, lowering his voice to a whisper. âSheâs hiding something underneath that bar, Teddy. Something thatâs either a waste of time or⊠Our card to fill our pantries.â
Teddy thought of Raven and made silent show of agreement. She was the opposite from easy..though, of course, the demon in front of him would hardly agree. As he put the glass down, he looked across from them to someone else - the woman behind the counter. "..that one? She looks the kind." Maybe he could see what Naj saw in taunting those humans but nothing picked his interest more than what was said next.
"What, like a basement or some shit? What makes you think it's anything other than that?" Teddy picked up the glass and emptied the remaining liquid with a hiss, signaling at the staff for another round.
