Queen Elizabeth II sent Sugar, her dog, to be mated with another Rozavel stud, this one with the racy name of Rebellion. Daphne Slark remembers the day when she and Thelma Gray took the resulting litter to Windsor, and the Queen—who with Charles and Anne had planned to pick just one—could not make up her mind. “Don’t tell your father,” the Queen instructed her children. “Don’t tell your father we’ve got two puppies. Two new puppies!”
