Some omens feel clearer than others

Herbs and Potions

Are of little importance to me: For I drink poison with ease and yet live.

I wait faithfully in the morning

1. For the sun to break the horizon, and 2. For the myriad flowers in the garden to bloom. 3. For the fruits and vegetables there to ripen, and 4. For the golden time that I may harvest my crops. 5. For the next parishioner to kneel in the dim cool of the confessional, and 6. For the Lord of that church to lead us in prayer and in song and in life.  I wait faithfully in the evening 1. For Rauchpelz to come after her hunt to dinner, and 2. For the inevitable need for mercy in my own hunt. 3. For the water in the shower to turn warm that I may clean myself, and 4. For the thanks to my parents and our Lord to tumble and splash from my lips. 5. For my lily-white hair to dry as my hands button up my clothes, and 6. For the next patient. I wait at midnight 1. For the inevitability of all things, and 2. For my friends to see me past the Veil. 3. For my Judgement to pass, and 4. For my comeuppance to arrive. I wait for the End of all Days.
