I went to see masters of the universe yesterday, which is a 10/10 movie from me (review coming soon), but I really made me miss she-ra and the princess of power and the joy I had when I first watched the show.

Hopefully with the hype for this movie interest for she-ra focused sequel will rise and just maybe they’ll throw in a reference to the show, yk for funsies.

Whenever I watch any of the my strange addiction or freaky eaters type shows I always feel compelled to try whatever theyre addicted to to see if I get it. Pretty much everything has been disgusting except for the obvious ones (like the lady addicted to icecream bars ts is fire) but the most pleasant surprise ive had is bleach powder (DO NOT DO THIS I HAVE NO SENSE OF SELF PRESERVATION)

Anyways most of the time when ppl on these shows talk abt their substance of choice and describe the flavor they're completely wrong. Like the girl addicted to drinking nail polish who described it as "Warm, comforting, and chemically" Literally only one of those is true and its not either of the good ones (ts literally gave me a chemical burn on my tongue)

But the lady with the bleach powder said that it was "chalky, earthy, salty, with little bits of sweetness" and that's basically exactly what it was. and like i spat it out but not because it tasted bad just because it was bleach.

Everyone has their "can tell when the author doesn't know about what they're writing about" and mine is Idol AUs.

A lot of Idol AUs end up being just regular celebrity/popstar AUs because the author has never really interacted with idol media. The idol industry is very different from the western celebrity industry and it's a difference many AUs miss.

My biggest pet peeve within these types of AUs is when the J-pop and K-pop industries are treated like they're interchangeable, WHICH THEY'RE NOT.

Moral of the story, I think everyone should have at least one K-pop phase and/or have obsessed over an idol anime before in order to write an accurate Idol AU.
