And explain why they couldn't reuse one of his (good) s1 wigs 😭😭😭

Crackpot theory (forgive me OP, this just inspired a ramble): This scene was added in reshoots. Ewan was in some stage of Wuthering Heights production and had The Sideburns. The hair was styled to cover more of his jaw to make CGI-ing out The Sideburns easier on the postproduction team. 10000% speculation, I have nothing with which to back this up.
